Golden Circle Day Tour in Iceland

For those new to Iceland, the Golden Circle Day Tour is a must. It includes Thingvellir National Park, Geysir, and Gullfoss waterfall. Thingvellir National Park was listed as a historical and geological heritage by UNESCO in 2004 because it is located in the middle of the rift between the two major earth plates (North America and Eurasia) moving apart at a speed of 2.5 cm per year (Figures 1-2); it is also the pioneer of the democratic parliamentary system (AD 930), Figure 3 is the site of the assembly, Figure 4 is the place of drowning execution. The first person to be sentenced to death by the assembly was a woman in 1280.
