Explored the gorgeous mountainous region of Kashmir and everyone tells me they didn’t expect India to look like this. The weather here was cooling with gorgeous snow mountains, beautiful flower fields and meadows. 🛌 Grand Mamta (Srinagar) & Hotel Baisaran (Pahalgam) 🍽️ Local Barbecue! And the amazingly sweet Apple Juice 📸 Dal Lake, Gulmarg, Beetaab Valley, Pony ride to Baisaran Valley 🛍️ Pashmina Scarves, Saffron, all kinds of nuts 💡Tips: Domestic flight from New Delhi (and extended the trip to Jaipur) Don’t book with a tour company, book a transport company instead to drive you around. May wish to avoid the Muslim fasting month Remember to book the gulmarg cable car tickets in advance Nothing is free, so don’t anyhow accept random offers like photo taking, explanation on landmarks or unloading luggage from cars. Check if the orchards are in season. (When we were there, no fruits were in season so there was no orchard visit at all) #travel #kashmir #india
