Ayutthaya's Wat Phra Mahathat left me in awe with its magnificent ruins. The famous Buddha head entwined in tree roots was particularly mystical, giving a deep sense of history. The entire site is enveloped in tranquility, harmonizing with the surrounding nature. The intricate carvings and the beauty of the arches captivated me, allowing me to imagine the past prosperity. Additionally, there are other ruins scattered around, making it possible to experience Ayutthaya's history just by strolling around. It was a precious experience to touch upon ancient Thai culture in such a serene setting.
