Two-day Trip Around Shanghai (Taizhou Shuaitong'ao + Xiaoruo Village) |||🌳Day 1: Shanghai - Xiaojiaocheng Village (8 km Shuaitong'ao Loop) - Golden Beach Accommodation 🪴The journey is long, so it's important to get up early. It gets dark early in winter, so you need to allow plenty of time for hiking❗️ 🪴Set "Xiaojiaocheng Village" as the destination on your navigation app. There is a parking lot in the village, and you can park for a day for CNY 20. 🪴The 8 km loop is not difficult, but there are many gravel roads. Remember to bring trekking poles, wear thick-soled non-slip hiking shoes, and wear a windbreaker and hat, as the wind is really strong on some sections of the road❗️(Images 1-4) 🪴You don't need to worry about supplies. There are small vendors selling water, grilled sausages, shrimp, and other cooked food at the starting point and near the beach. 🪴The accommodation price at Golden Beach in the off-season is really attractive. You can get a sea view room for only CNY 200, with plenty of heating. You can see the stars at night and the sunrise in the morning from your room. It's wonderful. (Images 5-6) 🪴For dinner and breakfast, it is recommended to eat outside the town. Most of the shops at Golden Beach are closed in the off-season, so there are not many options. However, if you are afraid of the hassle of going out, you can also order one of the few takeaways. 🌳Day 2: Golden Beach - Ring Viewing Platform - Xiaoruo Village - Shanghai 🪴It takes about 40 minutes to walk from Golden Beach to the Ring Viewing Platform, or about 10 minutes by car. There is parking, and the platform overlooks the village. 🪴The shops in Xiaoruo Village are very colorful (Image 7), and it's a good place to have a cup of coffee and slow down to rest and adjust. 🪴If you need to take a panoramic photo of the village, you can walk from Xiaoruo Village to "Qilin Mountain" using a navigation app. There are signs along the way from the foot of the mountain to guide you to the top, so you don't have to worry about getting lost. Travel light, as there are small shops along the way for supplies. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the top of the mountain.
