Autumn in Suzhou: Yiyuan Garden, a quiet retreat in the bustling city

After leaving Huanxiu Mountain Villa, I walked a little over a kilometer to the bustling Renmin Road and entered Yiyuan Garden. The weather was cold, and the big cat that usually lazed by the pool was nowhere to be found. The huge ginkgo trees, bright red maples, beautiful tallow trees, and the pomegranate tree at the entrance all painted Yiyuan Garden with the colors of autumn. I admired Mi Fu's calligraphy and the works of other famous artists. Although the garden is small, it is worth savoring.
