Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral

The Holy Trinity is one of the core beliefs of Christianity, referring to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The church is located on the east bank of the Kura River on Elia Hill. It was built in 1994 to commemorate Georgia's independence and took 10 years to complete. Covering an area of 5,000 square meters, the church is 105.5 meters tall from the ground to the top of the cross, making it the largest Orthodox church in Georgia and the entire South Caucasus region. It is also one of the largest churches in the world. The church is filled with exquisite paintings, some of which are made of mosaics, while others are made of gold leaf. One of the golden paintings, which resembles a cross, is inlaid with a large number of pearls and various colored gemstones. It is believed that each painting tells a sacred religious story. The church also displays a handwritten Bible and a model of the holy city of Jerusalem.
