Must-see attractions • Moray Agricultural Terraces: • Features: This is a giant circular terrace built by the Incas on the mountainside. Its unique shape resembles a fingerprint on the earth. From a high vantage point, these circular terraces look like a natural maze on the earth's surface, which is very spectacular. Pisac Ruins (Parque Arqueológico de Pisac): • Features: Located at the highest point of the Sacred Valley, from here you can overlook the Sacred Valley extending westward. The golden terraces and rolling mountains form a stunning picture scroll. The ruins contain 14 different shaped terraces, with diverse styles. There are also ancient bathhouses, fountains, altars, ritual platforms and ritual stones. Ollantaytambo Ruins (Parque Arqueológico de Ollantaytambo): • Features: Here is the largest and most magnificent Inca ruins in the Sacred Valley - the Temple of the Sun in Ollantaytambo. The bottom layer of the Temple of the Sun is a series of platforms used to plant flowers and herbs for sacrifice. The temple itself is located on the top layer. • Maras Salt Mines (Salinas de Maras): • Features: Located near Urubamba and Ollantaytambo, the salt mines predate the Inca Empire. Over 3,000 pure white salt pans are stacked like terraces, covering half a mountain.
