Waldorf Astoria Xiamen: A Luxurious Nanyang Experience in the City Waldorf Astoria Xiamen is located in the city center. Although it is not by the sea, it stands out with its pure city view, high floors, unique Nanyang design, and luxurious decoration. The rooms are divided into two color schemes: brown-red and green-gold. When checking in, the front desk upgraded the room to a premium corner room. The brown room exudes a calm and restrained atmosphere, and the view and area are both excellent. However, I have always longed for the oversized bathtub in its water-green bathroom, so I finally chose to stay in the green-gold corner room. The overall decoration style of the hotel is completely different from the old-fashioned tradition of Waldorf Astoria Shanghai. Waldorf Astoria Xiamen is extremely flamboyant, with splendid colors and golden brilliance everywhere. The huge golden money tree, the bright light in every corner, and the objects and ornaments decorated with elements such as pastel, emerald green, and crystal all exude a sense of wealth and auspiciousness, as if wealth is gathering from all directions. If Waldorf Astoria Beijing is compared to a 60-year-old man, and Waldorf Astoria Shanghai is regarded as a 40-year-old middle-aged man, then Waldorf Astoria Xiamen is like a 20-year-old young man, full of vitality and enthusiasm. The view of the bathroom is truly intoxicating, and the bathtub is so spacious that it seems to accommodate multiple people. After taking a bath, looking at the city view of the island, the unique beauty and experience are different from Conrad Xiamen. I also experienced the hotel's supporting facilities one by one. Each of the three restaurants, Peacock Alley, HUI, and SHARP, has its own charm. SHARP is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have experienced in several Waldorf Astoria hotels. It cleverly integrates local Minnan flavors and innovates. Almost every dish can surprise people. It is well-deserved to win a Michelin star. In contrast, the Michelin selection results in Fuzhou are slightly inferior. Finally, I have to mention the rooftop outdoor swimming pool. Since it was late and the temperature was slightly low, there was almost no one at the time. But swimming in the pool under the sun the next day was particularly pleasant and comfortable.
