You won't know how beautiful it is until you go there| Visited the life I've been longing for and met my old friend Xipo again. The entire homestay is surrounded by mountains, and the picturesque scenery is hidden in the deep mountains. The homestay retains the local characteristic yellow mud outer wall and red tile roof, and it is very Xipo. The food adheres to Xipo's purpose to fatten you up, all are home-cooked dishes cooked by local aunts. As for fun, I highly recommend going to Shuangshimen. Don't be confused by the simplicity of the entrance of the scenic spot. Boldly go inside, the road conditions are not very good, and the car is parked at the first mountain stone. Walking in will have a different experience, wading through the river, single-plank bridge, after climbing and wading, you can welcome the end of hardship, it's so beautiful. The temperature difference between day and night is still quite large now, so you still need to bring some thick clothes. Pay attention to sun protection during the day, and it will be a bit cold in the shade. Every aspect reflects the meticulous and warm Northwest sentiment. As Xipo said, because of love, so rush, because of resonance, so gather

The Son of The Earth🌎
This giant 3D baby sculpture is an artwork hidden in the middle of the Gobi Desert in Dunhuang, China.
Made by Professor Dong Shubing, the director of the Sculpture at Tsinghua University, the artwork carries the hope that mankind can interact with the environment in a harmonious way, just as the baby sleeps tenderly amongst the sandy horizon.
Because of its grand size, many also interpret the child as a showcase of the greatness of maternal love.
Standing next to this masterpiece, I was captivated by the unorthodox expression of human creativity.
The baby pushed me to reflect deeply on my own life and my interaction with nature, because like any art work, this sculpture contained the power to elevate us to mentally, spiritually, and physically.

Horse Trek- Langmusi, China
How to get there- Langmusi is a small town in Southern gansu province, China. We originally planned to take the bus here however we discovered buses were not running as regularly as we hoped and had to get a driver from Jiuzhaigou Valley.
What to do- the scenery in Langmusi is a nature lover’s dream. Mountains and rolling hills are home to Tibetan nomads (and their guard dogs- Tibetan mastiffs!!). You can hike in the area (recommend you get a guide for safety), or as we did go on a horse trek.
Where to eat and drink- There is a nice restaurant and bar street running through the town with a small selection of Chinese food options. If you want Western food go to Black tent cafe, which is owned by the Lady who provided the horse trek tour

Gansu Silk Road
Getting There - we travelled by train all the way from Shanghai. it was good value, fast and comfortable.
Attractions - My highlights were Dunhuang and the Rainbow Mountains. So beautiful, full of history and the tourist attractions are very well managed. Even though it was busy we could enjoy everything and take our time.

Trip to Gansu, China 🇨🇳
It was a trip to Gansu, China with friends. If you’re looking for a place rich in natural beauty, culture, and perfect photography spots, Gansu, China, is a must-visit. We started our journey in Lanzhou, a bustling city along the Yellow River. One of the highlights was the Zhongshan Bridge, often called the “First Bridge of the Yellow River.” We visited during sunset 🌅 and the golden hues reflecting on the river created stunning pictures ✨ Afterward, we explored the Gansu Provincial Museum, which houses 🏘️ ancient Silk Road artifacts, perfect for history and architecture shots 📸
📍Zhongshan Bridge, Binhe East Road, Chengguan District, Lanzhou, Gansu, China.
We then visited Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park was the highlight of our trip. The rainbow-colored mountains look surreal, especially during sunrise and sunset. We explored the viewpoints, and I recommend staying for the sunset, the colors are at their most vibrant. Don’t forget to bring a wide-angle lens for panoramic shots 😍
📍 Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park, Linze County, Zhangye, Gansu, China.
We then explored Jiayuguan Pass, the westernmost end of the Great Wall. The combination of the ancient architecture and the surrounding desert landscape made for dramatic photographs 📸 Mid-morning offered the best lighting for the wall’s intricate details. Nearby, we went to the Jiayuguan Fortress, which added a touch of history to our photo collection ✨
📍Jiayuguan Pass, Jiayuguan City, Gansu, China.
📍Jiayuguan Fortress, South of Jiayuguan City, Gansu, China.
Dunhuang is where we found the iconic Crescent Lake, an oasis surrounded by the massive Singing Sand Dunes. We visited in the late afternoon to catch the golden light and took camel 🐪 rides for those perfect desert shots. The Mogao Caves were another must-see; their ancient Buddhist murals are a treasure for art lovers 🙌🙌🙌
📍Crescent Lake, Mingsha Mountain Scenic Area, Dunhuang, Gansu, China.
📍Mogao Caves, Dunhuang City, Gansu, China.
We ended our trip at Labrang Monastery in Xiahe. The intricate Tibetan architecture and the surrounding mountains ⛰️ provided a serene backdrop for photos 📸 We explored the prayer wheels and halls in the early morning, capturing the tranquil atmosphere ✨
📍 Labrang Monastery, Xiahe County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu, China.
highly recommend Gansu to anyone looking for a mix of culture, history, and natural beauty 🙌🙌🙌

Day 2 of the Qinghai-Gansu trip, the beautiful Rainbow Mountains.
What a lucky day!
We played in the snow in the Qilian Mountains for too long yesterday and didn't have time to visit the Rainbow Mountains.
We didn't expect the weather to be so good today.
We got off at every stop, but I personally prefer the fourth stop. The photos are better. The best thing about a self-driving tour is the freedom.

Gansu Yuanchenghuang Temple.
The Luochuan Township in Zhengning County, Gansu is now very desolate, and it is the old county seat. The original Chenghuang Temple gate preserved the iron flagpole cast in the 26th year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1846), with a height of 11m. It was the first person in Zhengning County, Qingyang Prefecture, Gansu in the Qing Dynasty, Peng Bixiao, Zhao Yuanli, etc., dedicated to Luochuan Chenghuang Temple. The inscription contains the craftsman "Fuxing Furnace Gold Fire Craftsman Li Fukai" and others in Fuping County, Shaanxi.
The flagpole is thin and thick, with double dragons flying on the upper part, and the bottom is inserted in the back and abdomen of the iron lion, and the two iron lions have round eyes. There is a iron crane at the top of the iron flagpole, each carrying the "sun and moon", and one side is written with two characters. There is a small plaque under the iron crane, which reads "Seven Kingdoms Defense" and "Ten Thousand Nations Screen". There are two square buckets under the flag, and small iron flags are erected at the four corners of the square bucket, and small wind chimes are hung under the square bucket.
According to records, Zhongnanshan in the Qing Dynasty was the iron production base in Guanzhong, so the gold and fire industries in Fuping, Tongzhou (Dali County) and other places were very developed. The gold and fire craftsmen not only served locally, but also often crossed provinces to work. This iron flagpole in Zhengning County, Gansu is an example.

One-day trip around Lanzhou's "Little Erhai"!
One-day trip around Lanzhou's "Little Erhai"! You heard me right. Falling in love with the city of Lanzhou seems to be a surprise during the trip, like discovering a treasure and wishing I could share it with all my friends. I have been to Lanzhou twice this year and found that not only is there the Yellow River and the Gobi Desert, there is also the Xiangyang Wharf known as the "Little Erhai" around Lanzhou. This is the sea that belongs to Lanzhou.
Pretending to be at the beach, enjoying the sunshine and everything in front of you, is a haven for everyone to escape from the city. Here you can enjoy various interesting activities and have fun all day long. The breeze on the lake is just right, and the happiness never stops.
Address: Xiangyang Wharf, Liujiaxia, Yongjing County, Linxia
Transportation: Start by driving from downtown Lanzhou and navigate to Xiangyang Pier, which can be reached in about 2 hours.
Parking: Free parking lot near the pier, you can also park in the parking lot of nearby villagers' farmhouse, which costs about 10 yuan. Tickets: free
√Amway entertainment items at Xiangyang Wharf: 1 sailing boat/catamaran sailing boat
Recommended: Elegant, comfortable, stable and comfortable, relaxing
Sailing is also called sea golf. There are two kinds of sailing boats to choose from. Whether you are alone or with friends and family, you can enjoy it. Sailing on the lake is really comfortable with the rolling waves, the cool breeze blowing on your face, and if the weather is good, you can also encounter the beautiful moment of the sunset sparkling on the lake.
2 kayaks
Recommendation: paddle on the blue lake, look at the sky, and feel the freedom
Kayaking makes me relax and have fun. It is not difficult and suitable for all kinds of people. You can see the scenery you have never seen from a different angle. You can also kayak to Bingling Lake and enjoy the scenery of the lake and mountains slowly without crowds.
3 paddle boards
Recommendation: Stand on the tide and ride the waves
If you like a slightly challenging and fun project, paddleboarding is a good choice. The technical threshold is low and you can quickly learn it. It is a super cool water sport. You can experience the fun of paddling on various water surfaces and feel the sliding water slowly moving forward.
There are also motor boats, beach volleyball, Frisbee, and water gun fights.
You can enjoy speedboats, electric hydroplanes, off-road go-kart paddling and other activities
Outdoor camping site camping barbecue BBQ
Watching the sunset is so beautiful. When night falls, I treat myself to a sumptuous BBQ with my friends and family. Food brings us closer. We play music and chat with each other. This scene is like the atmosphere of a movie② Bonfire fireworks
Light a bonfire, sit around the stove, put a bouquet of fireworks in the sky, and enjoy the joy of spending a wonderful holiday together.
Remember to bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent, wear sun-protective clothing and be prepared for sun protection, and bring a change of clothes for water sports. There are showers in the scenic area.
The nearby attractions are very close. You can take a boat to Bingling Danxia Geopark and Bingling Temple from Xiangyang Pier!
It takes 40 minutes to drive from Yongjing County to Xiangyang Pier to experience the water play facilities. After that, you can take a boat for about 25 minutes to reach Bingling Danxia National Geological Park, or you can also take a boat for about 30 minutes to reach the Bingling Temple Grottoes.

Write down some words to record my dreamlike journey to the Northwest
5.17 is the last day of the Qinghai-Tibet loop. After saying goodbye to the driver, I knew that sometimes farewells in life can be very difficult.
In just seven days, I saw many landscapes I had never seen before. The mountains, rivers, and lakes in nature added a stroke of rich color to my memories.
The weather was good on the day of departure. Along the way, there were herds of yaks and sheep. Nearby were grasslands not yet fully green, and in the distance, there were rolling snow-capped mountains. I also encountered several devout pilgrims. The wind was strong at Qinghai Lake, but the water was very blue. Along the way, I also enjoyed delicious yak hotpot, small plate chicken, and some unnamed wild vegetables.
We crossed the Rubber Mountain at an altitude of 3817 meters, the first pass of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It rained on the way to Chaka. I had lost hope, but when the car stopped at the entrance of the scenic area, it suddenly cleared up. The salt lake was transparent. When the sky and the lake reflected each other, I understood what is meant by 'Mirror of the Sky'.
The next day, we passed through Delingha in the Haizi Poetry and arrived at the Chaka Salt Lake. When I saw it, I felt its beauty was almost unreal. The breeze stirred up layers of blue waves. It was like an emerald that had fallen to earth.
Driving on the 315 national road, I saw the Yardang landform that I learned about in high school geography. Different from the grasslands I had seen before, its beauty was a powerful presence in the desert.
We passed by Dongtaijiner Lake, which was not included in the itinerary, but the driver took us there anyway. When I approached it, I marveled at its beauty. The lake water was light blue and clear to the bottom. It truly deserves the title of China's 'Maldives'.
On the way back, the driver found a back road to take us through the no-man's land. It was both tense and exciting. When we stood on the earth mounds of the Yardang landform, the wind was strong, and the view was vast. It seemed as if the entire land of the Northwest was in my eyes.
Crossing the Dangjin Mountains at the junction of three provinces, we arrived in Dunhuang. In the evening, we went to the Shazhou Night Market, where I ate the anticipated beef pie with sand onions and drank delicious apricot peel tea. The next morning, we went to the Mogao Caves. Seeing is believing, and I was amazed at the craftsmanship of the ancient painters. As someone who studies art, it was a visual shock. The colors and lines were all exquisitely beautiful.
The weather at the Mingsha Mountain was not good in the evening. I climbed barefoot for a long time and was already out of breath before reaching the top. The sandstorm was too strong, and I had to stagger down. Fortunately, I saw the long-awaited Crescent Lake and took some sand back home in a fridge magnet.
During the days in Gansu, it was never sunny, but the colors of the Rainbow Danxia were still beautiful. It's just a pity that I didn't see it on a clear day.
Time quickly came to the last day. Finally, I arrived at the Qilian Mountain grassland. The sky was not kind, and it started to drizzle, but that day I hugged a lamb, tried archery, drank a cup of warm butter tea, enjoyed yak meat hotpot, and listened to the songs of the Tibetan people. Everything was beautiful. When we crossed the Daban Mountain Tunnel, the highest in Asia, it also signaled the end of this journey.
I have wanted to visit the Northwest for a long time, and this time I finally got my wish. On the way home, I cried. This was the first time I felt upset after a trip ended. The landscapes and people I encountered along the way were rich and wonderful. I think this is a journey I will never forget in my life. The Northwest is like a colorful dream, and I hope it will forever be in my heart.

Rapeseed flowers
Spring has arrived! The rapeseed flowers in the mountains have bloomed early. Spring has arrived, and the rapeseed flowers in the mountains have bloomed early!
◎ The footsteps of spring are light and warm, gently brushing across the earth, bringing vitality and energy. In this season, the rapeseed flowers in the mountains seem to be the messengers of spring, bringing us the golden hope and joy ahead of time.
I step into this sea of flowers, as if entering a fairy tale world.
The rapeseed flowers grow densely in the fields, with a stream flowing gently by the side, and ancient trees and villages as the backdrop, forming a beautiful pastoral painting. Each rapeseed flower is like a little sun, illuminating the whole earth, and also every corner of my heart.
Although the rapeseed flowers are not as delicate and dripping as roses, nor as rich and gorgeous as peonies, they have their own unique charm. They are simple and natural, without too much decoration, yet they bloom the most brilliant smiles on the earth in spring. They are like a group of innocent and carefree children, running freely in the fields, bringing us endless joy and warmth.
In this sea of rapeseed flowers, I seem to feel the breath and heartbeat of nature. Every breeze that blows makes the rapeseed flowers sway gently, as if telling me the story of spring. I close my eyes, deeply breathing in this freshness and tranquility, as if all worries are swallowed by this sea of flowers.
Besides the rapeseed flowers, there are ancient trees here. They complement the rapeseed flowers, forming a perfect picture.
The ancient trees stand tall, witnessing the changes of time; the villages are quiet and peaceful, as if they are a secluded paradise. Here, I can temporarily forget the noise and busyness of the city, allowing my soul to truly relax and be at peace.
The rapeseed flowers in the mountains in spring are not just a sea of flowers, but also a breathtakingly beautiful scenery. It makes me appreciate the beauty of life and the charm of nature, and also helps me find the inner peace and tranquility again. Here, I truly feel the magic of spring and understand the essence of life.

Impressions of Gansu
Impressions of Gansu, they only linger in the few short hours of a layover in Lanzhou more than a decade ago. For all these years, I never really focused on Gansu; to be honest, compared to the natural landscapes of Xinjiang, Tibet, Inner Mongolia, and Qinghai, I always felt that Gansu lacked a bit of attraction for me. Among the remaining provinces that I have not yet deeply explored, when I bring Gansu and Ningxia to the forefront and connect them, it is only when making travel plans that I discover many previously unnoticed points worth looking forward to. This trip to Southern Gansu and Ningxia, after having seen the various beautiful sights of the motherland, can still be called an endlessly memorable journey. Novel natural phenomena, thrilling first-time experiences, and rich taste bud satisfaction, all these life experiences, even during the slightly more expensive summer vacation, are still worth it in one word, valuable!

Northwest 7-Day Tour | Day3 One-day Tour of Lanzhou City
Northwest 7-Day Tour | Day3 One-day Tour of Lanzhou City||One-day Tour of Lanzhou City
Due to some personal reasons, I needed to go to Lanzhou halfway through, so I planned a one-day tour in Lanzhou
1. Statue of the Mother of the Yellow River (not recommended, it's just a statue, but you can go down to the banks of the Yellow River for a stroll, I skipped stones for more than ten minutes, succeeded once haha
2. Zhongshan Bridge + White Pagoda Temple, highly recommended, written together because they are next to each other, cross the Zhongshan Bridge and you can climb up to the White Pagoda Temple, I love climbing, so recommended!! And you can overlook the city, during the New Year period there are also temple fair performances which are very lively
3. Lanzhou University, not recommended during the New Year period, the school is empty and the buildings are all locked, you can't experience much, after the New Year when there are more students you can take a look at the student atmosphere, visit the teaching buildings and canteen~
4. Santai Pavilion + Northwest Manhattan Night View, a must-visit! Look at my night view photos, no need for me to say more, arrive at the mountain base after five, the driver charges 10 yuan per person to take you up the mountain, reach the top around six to wait for the sunset, after the sunset the city will gradually light up
5. Back to Zhongshan Bridge, the riverside is full of fireworks, so beautiful~
A few suggestions
⚠️Recommend the Provincial Museum, but you need to book in advance, I missed the chance
⚠️The reservation time for Lanzhou University is not important, it mainly depends on real-name authentication, so if the number for the day is booked up you can book another time for the same campus
⚠️Temple fair performances may be suspended when there are too many people, don't be disappointed
⚠️You can't see "I❤️Lanzhou" from Santai Pavilion, if you want to see it you can stop halfway
⚠️Santai Pavilion is full of bright lights, if you take photos the picture will be very white, you can use your hand to block between the lens and the bright light (not between the lens and the scenery) to eliminate the white light
⚠️The top of the mountain is not like the city, the wind is very strong, be sure to wear more
