The most famous dish we ordered is the bacon fried egg pancake 🥞, which is like the concept of an all-day breakfast. The waiter will first make the savory pancake in front of you, and then add layers of fried eggs 🍳, bacon 🥓, honey 🍯, and finally drizzle it with hollandaise sauce. The visual effect is very good and the appearance is also attractive! The pancakes are airy and soft, with rich ingredients and egg juice, giving them a layered taste. I visited the Sensō-ji Temple, an ancient Buddhist temple. It is Tokyo's oldest temple (founded in 645 CE) and has a titanium-tiled roof. Though the temple was associated with the Tendai sect of Buddhism, it became independent after the Second World War. The temple is dedicated to Guanyin, the bodhisattva (a person on the path towards Buddhahood) of compassion. At the beginning of the Tokugawa shogunate, Tokugawa Ieyasu designated Sensō-ji as the protector of the Tokugawa clan. During World War II, the temple was bombed and destroyed during the March 10th air raid (a devastating and catastrophic firebomb air raid) on Tokyo. The temple was reconstructed and served as a symbol of rebirth and peace to the Japanese people. In the courtyard, a tree was hit by a bomb in the air raids; however, it has regrowned in the husk of the old tree and is a similar symbol to the temple itself. Adjacent to the temple, I saw the five-story pagoda, the Asakusa Shinto shrine, and shops with traditional Japanese goods.
