The biggest highlight here is the relatively more tranquil atmosphere. Due to its remote location, Baihaba has far fewer tourists than Kanas and Hemu, and is less commercialized. If you want to experience the original appearance of the villages in northern Xinjiang, Baihaba is a better choice. Baihaba also has its own unique scenery. As the "first village in the northwest," it is only a few kilometers from the border between China and Kazakhstan. The China-Kazakhstan Border Grand Canyon, 10 km west of the village (in the direction of Habahe), is even closer to a foreign land. The No. 5 boundary marker, 3 km from the village, is periodically closed for border defense reasons. You can ask local villagers for real-time information.
