Sun Yatsen Mausoleum, Nanjing city, Jiangsu province. I don't think I should introduce who Sun Yatsen is, everyone knows this big historical figure and outstanding person. Well, mausoleum is impressive like it should be for Sun Yatsen. Many people coming here to climb the stone steps to enter inside. It worth to visit.

Honoring a Great Man, Visiting Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum
At the foot of Zijin Mountain in Nanjing, amidst the green pines, stands a solemn and majestic mausoleum - the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. It is the final resting place of the great pioneer of the Republic of China, Dr. Sun Yat-sen, and a sacred place for the Chinese people to remember the revolutionary pioneer and commemorate history.
The construction of the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum began in 1926. The entire structure is built along the mountain, with a sophisticated layout that combines the best of Chinese and Western architectural arts. Ascending the 392 steps, which symbolize the unyielding struggle of the Chinese nation, one is greeted by a grand archway inscribed with the words 'Universal Love,' encapsulating Dr. Sun Yat-sen's lifelong dedication to national independence, prosperity, and the happiness of the people.
The Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is not only a witness to history but also a shrine of spirit. It constantly reminds us that no matter how times change, the pursuit of freedom, equality, and universal love remains an unwavering belief.

Nanjing's Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum: Unique Design and Profound Architectural Style
Nanjing's Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum attracts numerous visitors with its unique design and profound architectural style. Climbing the steps leading to the tomb, one is greeted by a majestic architectural complex. The mausoleum gate, stele pavilion, and sacrificial hall are arranged sequentially on a gently rising slope, forming a large bell-shaped layout. This not only aligns with Sun Yat-sen's political testament of 'awakening the people,' but also cleverly utilizes the natural terrain to highlight the grandeur of the overall architecture.

In Nanjing, I saw the first mausoleum in the history of modern Chinese architecture ~ Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum
Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is located in the middle area of Zhongshan Scenic Area in Nanjing City, also known as Purple Mountain.
It is the place where Sun Yat-sen, the founding father of the country, is buried.
Let’s take the tomb passage first, starting from Boai Square, which is one of the iconic buildings of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum.
The second is the mausoleum gate, which is a tall blue glazed tile mausoleum gate with the four characters "The world is for the public" written on it. The roof is also blue glazed tiles and the blue sky and green trees form a beautiful scene.
Behind the mausoleum gate is the stele pavilion. There is a rectangular granite tombstone erected in the stele pavilion. Three lines of gilt inscriptions are engraved on the front of the tombstone: "The Chinese Kuomintang buried Prime Minister Mr. Sun here on June 1, the 18th year of the Republic of China."
The memorial hall is the main body of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. It is at a high place and requires 392 steps. There are eight steps in total. The lower part is "I only see the stone steps but not the platform", which represents that the road of revolution is difficult and bumpy. The upper part is "I only see the stone steps but not the platform". "There are no stone steps on the platform", which means that the great man's vision is so broad.
There are three doors on the last tomb, with the words "Nation, People's Livelihood, and Civil Rights" written on them. When you come out of the tomb, you can look out at the beautiful scenery in the distance. The view is broad and majestic, which further shows the solemnity of this Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum!
Tickets are free, but must be reserved one week in advance. The museum is closed on Mondays.
You can take Subway Line 2, Alfalfa Park Station, Exit 1, and then take a sightseeing bus for 10 yuan per person to the entrance of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Scenic Area.

中山陵 - Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum
The final resting place of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the first leader of the Republic of China, is situated at the base of Purple Mountain in Nanjing, China. This mausoleum was constructed between January 1926 and the spring of 1929, with Lü Yanzhi as the architect, who passed away shortly after its completion.
The mausoleum is open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday between 8:30 AM and 5 PM and remains closed on Mondays.
Getting There - Based on my experience, I got there by taking the metro from the Pukou District on Line 10 and transferring to Line 2. After that, I took a public bike to go to the mountain area next to the gate of the place. Note: You can also take a sightseeing vehicle to get there after getting off from metro Line 2. After that, you need to walk like climbing a mountain, but don’t worry, there are convenient pathways that you can walk on.
Attractions - There are a lot of beautiful scenes, museums linked with history, and so on.
Food & Restaurants - As I remember, there are food stores, restaurants, fast food outlets, and convenience stores.
Shopping - Souvenirs are available to buy for memory.
