I had a #staycation at Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, a new hotel in Yeouido. Yeouido is a financial district in Seoul, has a nice Han river park (great to visit during cherry blossom season) and many nice restaurants. This hotel is connected to The Hyundai Seoul Department store, easy to shop and eat. There are lots of events and pop-ups going on in The Hyundai everyday, so if you like shopping, Fairmont Ambassador is a great place. The room is relatively big, new, luxurious. No view from hotel, department store view is slightly better than constuction view.. I think.. I could have Peking duck for breakfast buffet. Yeouido office view while at the breakfast. Overall, a new hotel, nice service, good location near to IFC and department store, enjoyed the visit.

I could also measure my InBody, and the treadmill had a wireless charger so I could charge the battery. 🙂 The sauna was so-so, but it was separated into a space where you can sit and wash like a bathhouse and a space where you can stand and wash, but it wasn't in a booth style with a partition. That was a bit disappointing! The baths were either hot or cold! A great place for a quite high quality buffets. The price definitely on the higher side but this is expected from a luxury hotel. The restaurant offers a sort of open air seating (albeit looking down to the lobby) but it does offer a more spacious and open feel. There were two sections to the buffet; one catered more to Western tastes while the other was more a selection of Asian tastes. Both were tasty and delicious but the western selection was really fresh. The Asian section offerd more high end stuff such as sashimi and lobster tails. Finally the staff were always quite friendly and welcoming. This was especially true for the guy at the reception, Phil!
