Kamikochi ต้องไปสักครั้งในชีวิต
[📍 Kamikochi, Japan - One Day Trip in Late October 🍂]
Autumn is coming, and Kamikochi is breathtaking! 🍁

Kamikochi Japan Nagano Travel Natural Beauty Tour
#naturalscape # Kamikochi #JapanTravel # The Scenery of the World
Kamikochi is known as one of the most beautiful alpine scenic spots in Japan. With its spectacular mountains, clear rivers and primeval forests, Kamikochi is like a paradise on earth.
As soon as I stepped into Kamikochi, I was immediately struck by the natural beauty there. The emerald green grassland and the crystal clear Azusa River interweave together picturesque scenery, especially in the morning, when mist shrouds the valley, making it look like a fairyland. Walking on the well-constructed trails, you can have a panoramic view of the surrounding peaks and forests, breathe in the fresh air, and feel very relaxed.
One of the most famous attractions in Kamikochi is the "Kappa Bridge". This ancient wooden bridge spans the Azusa River. Looking down from the bridge, the river water is crystal clear, and the mountains and forests on both sides are reflected in the water. It is beautiful. Standing on the Kappa Bridge, with the sound of running water and birdsong, my mood became particularly peaceful.

[Nagano] Come to Kamikochi for a picnic before the mountain closures
#Outing #Nagano #Kamikochi
Kamikochi, located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, is a beautiful plateau surrounded by magnificent mountains. The natural scenery here is amazing, especially in autumn, when the colorful leaves and clear rivers complement each other, making people forget to leave.
Early in the morning, we set off from Matsumoto and took the bus to Kamikochi. The scenery along the way is picturesque, with mountains and rivers intertwining, making people feel happy. After arriving at Kamikochi, the first thing that catches our eyes is the majestic Mount Hotaka. The towering peaks look particularly spectacular against the blue sky.
We chose to hike along the trail along the river, admiring the clear Azusa River along the way. The water is like a mirror, reflecting the surrounding mountain scenery. As we walked, we came to the famous Kappa Bridge. This ancient wooden bridge is the best place to take pictures of the beautiful scenery of Kamikochi. Standing on the bridge, surrounded by mountain scenery and autumn colors, I couldn't help but pick up my camera and capture the beauty of this moment.
At lunch, we tasted fresh mountain vegetables and local specialty soba noodles at a local small restaurant. They were delicious and left us unforgettable. After dinner, we continued exploring and headed to Taisho Pond, where the water shines like sapphire and the surrounding red leaves are reflected in the water, making it feel like a fairyland on earth.
You can feel the charm of nature in every corner of Kamikochi. Whether it is the magnificent mountain scenery or the quiet lake, I am deeply intoxicated. This trip to Kamikochi not only allowed me to appreciate the beautiful scenery, but also made me feel the power and tranquility of nature.

Kappa bashi
Kappa Bridge is a suspension bridge over the Azusa River in the center of Kamikochi, not far from the bus terminal. Several hotels, restaurants, and souvenir shops can be found around the bridge. The structure of the bridge is wooden and it has become a distinctive symbol of Kamikochi.
Kappa Bridge is especially popular as a photo spot with a terrific view of the Hotaka Peaks and Mt. Myojindake that can been seen when facing upriver. Looking downriver, one has a good view of Mt. Yakedake, the iconic peak at the entryway to Kamikochi whose smoking crater reminds us that it is a very active volcano.

Kamikochi: A Natural Paradise 🌲🏔️
If you are looking for a natural tourist spot in Japan, Kamikochi is the answer! Even though it was drizzling and the weather was freezing, the view here was so beautiful that you forgot about the cold. The atmosphere 🌅 Imagine towering mountains, crystal clear water, and lush green trees in the mist… It’s like being in a fantasy movie! Even though it was so cold on the day I went, the fun was a full ten points! 🥶✨
Must-see spots
Kappa Bridge (Kappa-bashi) is a must-visit landmark! The view of the Azusa River and the surrounding mountains is so great. Taking pictures looks like postcards (even though I was shivering from the cold at that time, lol)❄️
A little tip for visiting:
• Dress warmly! Don’t be careless like us, lol. Bring a jacket and raincoat. It helps a lot.
• It’s a good idea to come early in the morning because there are fewer people. The atmosphere is quiet and you can walk around comfortably.
• Bring some snacks. There are some small cafes or shops, but if you bring hot chocolate or snacks in your bag, you’ll feel more at ease!
Whether it's rain or shine, Kamikochi is still flawlessly beautiful. For those who love nature or want to escape the hustle and bustle, this is the answer! 💚 Highly recommended for those who plan to visit Japan and want to visit nature.

The Infinite Charm of Kamikochi
I signed up for a one-day tour to Kamikochi online. Early in the morning, I took the Shinkansen from Kyoto to Nagoya Station, where I met up with the small tour group.
Kamikochi is one of Japan's most beautiful mountain scenic spots. As soon as you enter the highlands, you feel surrounded by the majestic beauty of the towering mountains.
Upon arrival, we headed straight to the iconic Kappa Bridge of Kamikochi. From the bridge, you can gaze at the Hotaka Mountain Range and the Yakezawa Valley between the peaks. The clear stream under the bridge is so inviting that it makes you want to jump in and play in the water.
After checking in at Kappa Bridge, we set off for Myojin Pond. The trail on the right bank was closed, so we had to take the left bank trail. The scenery along the way was stunning, often referred to as Japan's Jiuzhaigou, with lakes, clear streams, forests, and high mountains, all breathtakingly beautiful.
For me, the greatest charm of Kamikochi lies in the joy of hiking in the magnificent and grand nature while getting a close-up view of the Hida Mountains (also known as the Japanese Alps) towering over 3,000 meters.
Due to time constraints, we didn't make it to Taisho Pond this time, which was a small regret.

The Most Beautiful Painting of Kamikochi
The Tashiro Wetland is one of the 'photo spots' in Kamikochi, and I think it is also one of the most beautiful sights there😍. The water is clear and bright, with a color like that of jade, and alongside it stand rows of tall and straight maple trees. In autumn, the maple leaves turn a beautiful golden yellow, reflecting on the calm, mirror-like surface of the water. This scenery is truly picturesque and breathtaking. When the sunlight shines on the Tashiro Wetland, the river surface even sparkles✨. Behind it, there are the Hotaka peaks and Mount Rokugo as a backdrop!
To reach Tashiro Wetland, it is recommended to take a bus and get off at the Kamikochi Bus Terminal as a starting point for hiking. Along the way, you will pass by Kappa Bridge, and it takes about 20 minutes to arrive!

Kappa Bridge
#thingstodo located in the Kamikochi Valley in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. It is a popular tourist destination, and it is known for its beautiful mountain scenery and its historical significance.
I recently visited Kappa Bridge, and I had a mixed experience. On the one hand, the bridge is very beautiful and the mountain scenery is stunning. However, the bridge was also very crowded, and it was difficult to enjoy the scenery without being jostled by other people.
I would recommend getting off one station earlier than Kappa Bridge and hiking there. The hike is short and easy, and it is a great way to avoid the crowds.
Overall, I think Kappa Bridge is worth a visit, but I would recommend going early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds.
Here are some tips for visiting:
- Arrive early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds.
- Wear comfortable shoes, as there is a lot of walking involved.
- Bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
- Be aware of the weather conditions and dress accordingly.
