📍Address: Moshikou Street, Shijingshan District, Beijing
🚗Transportation:
👍️Must-see attraction: "There is a rugged road in the mountains, and the sound of the car shaking the stone is heard from time to time." Once, in the important town of "Moshikou" that connected the capital and the frontier, the sound of horseshoes and camel bells intertwined, making the road to Beijing lively.
Moshikou, formerly known as "Moshikou", is located in the middle of Shijingshan District, Beijing. It is named after the production of grindstones, and its history can be traced back to the Western Zhou Dynasty. The royal temples Fahai Temple and Cheng'en Temple, which have a history of more than 500 years, are located here.

🚗Transportation: Take Line 6 to Jinanqiao Station, transfer to Line 11, and get off at Moshikou Station
👍️Must-see: The history of Shimen Academy can be traced back to an earlier period, but the original wooden structure has not been preserved. The existing academy was rebuilt later, mainly reflecting the three major functions of ancient academies: worship, teaching, and book collection.
The ancient gate on Moshikou Street is open, with the words "Shimen Academy" written on it. Inside is a courtyard with a unique style, especially the very thoughtful layout, with many small details, such as persimmons on the windowsill, green grass under the trees, and flower arrangements on the table.
Don't miss it, it's very photogenic.

Full of festive atmosphere! Modian Street here is incredibly beautiful
Modian Street lighting time: 16:30 PM
The best time for photography is around 17:15 PM (That's when the sun sets, capturing the transition from day to night can create a more atmospheric photo)
Photography location: "Modian Street"
It's actually just a short section of the street, about a 5-minute walk
Be sure to pay attention to safety during rush hour as there will be a lot of traffic
If taking the subway, transfer to Line 6 and get off at Jinaqiao Station, then transfer to Line 11
Get off at Modian Station and exit from Exit B
🎫: Free of charge 🆓, not a scenic spot, this area is a residential district
The atmosphere comes alive as soon as the lights are on 🏮
Photos taken at different times all have unique effects and turn out beautifully
This time, the light show in Modian really resembles the old Beiping depicted by Lao She
At least, it's how people from the south imagine the appearance of the old northern streets and wells
This place is not just a street lined with lanterns 🏮
It is also the famous 'Camel Bell Ancient Road' 🐫
The street decorations include artificial flowers as a backdrop 🌸
Plus, the shops along the street all display a New Year atmosphere
This folk culture area is truly worth a visit
I've heard that the lantern styles change every year
There are new designs annually, which is something to look forward to

The Spring Festival is crowded, and Modaokou Street is bustling
I've lived in Shijingshan for two or three years, and this is my first time visiting Modaokou Street and Camel Bell Ancient Road.
Now this is like a temple fair mode, there are a lot of people, it's really lively, and it seems to look better after the lights are turned on at night.
The former Modaokou Street was just an ordinary market, but after being re-planned and rebuilt, it has become trendy. There are also many interesting sculptures of cats and mice, which are suitable for strolling around when you have nothing to do.

The most festive hutong in Beijing
As the New Year approaches, the atmosphere of the New Year is getting stronger. If you want to feel the old Beijing's New Year, I definitely recommend Modaokou Street. Not only does it have the memories of Mr. Lao She, but the New Year hidden in the Beijing hutong is the feeling of the New Year in memory🧨!
As soon as I arrived at Modaokou Street, I was attracted by the full red lanterns. I instantly had a festive atmosphere for the New Year! Overlooking Modaokou Street from a high place, I was brought into Mr. Lao She's 'Camel Bell Ancient Road'! The natural and human fireworks are the most comforting to the hearts of ordinary people❣️!

Take a look at the New Year's flavor in old Beijing
Shijing Mountain's Moshikou in Beijing is the first village in Beijing to have electricity, boasting the first independently designed and constructed Moshikou hydroelectric power station in New China. Now it is the Moshikou Camel Bell Ancient Road Cultural Tourism Block.
Lao She wrote in 'Camel Xiangzi': Camel Xiangzi was caught by the soldiers and escaped secretly in Moshikou, and he also led back three camels, starting his lonely and sad story...
Today's Moshikou is full of big red lanterns hanging on the trees, New Year's pictures are all over the street, searching for dragons to welcome the spring, the New Year's flavor is getting stronger and stronger...

The taste of the New Year in Beijing's hutongs
❤The taste of the New Year in Beijing's hutongs| Modaikou Street📷. The prototype of the 'Camel Bell Ancient Road' in Lao She's writings is described here, with many camel🐫 elements on the street, and the streets are full of dense lanterns, really full of New Year's flavor🈵
🚇Public transportation: Subway Line 11 'Modaikou Station' Exit B
🅿Parking lot: Self-driving navigation 'Modaikou Street', the parking lot is very ample👍
📷Photo suggestions:
1️⃣Around the time the sun is about to set every day (around 5:10), all the lanterns on both sides of the street will light up. If you're using a camera, you should reduce the exposure by 1-2 stops, otherwise the lanterns will easily be overexposed👈
2️⃣Don't miss the most beautiful blue hour, the deep blue sky paired with the street full of lanterns is very photogenic, switch between wide-angle and telephoto to find different angles👈
3️⃣There are many unique shops on both sides of the street, as well as many camel🐫 and cute cat🐱 elements, which are very photogenic when checked in👍
