Beijing Trip - National Centre for the Performing Arts
National Centre for the Performing Arts
China National Traditional Orchestra - 'Ode to the Great Bell'.
Every time I come to Beijing, I always check in advance if there are any performances at the National Centre for the Performing Arts.
Actually, I would recommend anyone traveling to Beijing to definitely visit the National Centre for the Performing Arts.
Such a grand and magnificent theatre, it is incredibly beautiful. Its interior is far more beautiful than its exterior.
And every performance there is a masterpiece.
Our children are exposed to the country's top-tier art through television and electronic devices, but they have never truly experienced the beauty of art in person.
The true shock of symphony, the beauty of traditional music, the grandeur of choral singing, the elegance of opera, the power of drama, the grace of dance, the brightness of folk songs... neither we nor our children have seen these when we were young.
They would not understand the true beauty of art, the true feeling of the soul of art. Being there in person is the best education, and only by being there in person can a small seed be planted in the heart, allowing it to sprout, grow strong, and imprint the true, the good, and the beautiful in the heart, fostering a fuller enthusiasm for things, people, love, and the future.
When booking the tickets, I was a bit apprehensive, as traditional music is not very popular, and young people seem to prefer concerts.
But, as it turned out, it was extremely popular.
This feast of traditional music was simply amazing.
Hosted by Chen Duo.
The old gentleman is 84 years old, a famous host of CCTV, and a recitation artist.
Elegant, relaxed, and measured, as he slowly introduced the traditional music performance, everyone present was deeply moved by the beauty of traditional music.
Traditional music, at the moment it starts playing, deeply roots itself in everyone's heart.
Pipa, bells, drums, sheng, xiao, xun, guqin, daruan, flute, percussion, cymbals, guzheng...
The music they create, the charm, combined with dance, chorus, recitation, especially Feng Mantian's recitation of 'Li Sao', it was a performance that struck straight to the heart - our traditional music is so, so beautiful.
In the entire concert hall, no one spoke, and with the rhythm of the music, everyone's heart was slowly healed by the flow of music.
Thunderous applause, yet we were still unsatisfied.
For the encore, the entire audience clapped along with the rhythm, it was so grand, so united, extremely infectious and shocking.
Even the two post-90s kids said it was awesome and amazing!
What is national is also global.
I am proud and proud of our traditional music.
If you have the chance, please make sure to see it, the temple of art is always worth it, and never miss it.
