During this trip to the twin Park Hyatts in Guangdong, I thought Park Hyatt Guangzhou would be like the nationwide flooring rumors circulating online, with a lackluster experience. But the actual stay was excellent. My friend said I made Park Hyatt look more upscale than it is, but as the title says, if it treats me well, I'll portray it in a good light too. I stayed in two rooms this time, the 5505 Park Deluxe Suite and the 5901 Tower View Room. Although 5505 is a lower-floor suite, you can still see half of the tower, which is very satisfying. Before checking out, I also visited the Executive Tower View Suite, which I recommend for those with a higher budget, as it's absolutely perfect. As a Hyatt member, there's a complimentary minibar in the room. The room's TV can only screen mirror via HDMI, which is not very user-friendly for someone like me who is prone to screen mirroring issues. The suite's refrigerator is a large one with a freezer, which is very nice. In terms of service, it's very Park Hyatt. The front desk staff remember guests' names and greet you every time they see you, asking if Mr. Wang is satisfied with his stay. Just on this point, it has already surpassed many hotels of the same level. Lastly, everyone's experience is different. I'm just sharing my own out-of-pocket experience. Looking back on the stay, I only remember the overcast and rainy day, the exhaustion of the journey, and arriving at the hotel late at night, feeling a great sense of disorientation and detachment, but once inside, I was enveloped by the warm texture of solid wood and the warm yellow lighting. It turns out that light can reshape space. After a restful sleep, I woke up with the interest to closely examine the room's details. Although the facilities were slightly outdated, the space was comfortable in scale, with soft lighting, especially the paper lamp at the sofa corner and the cantilever lamp by the window, which deeply impressed me. The minibar is a separate piece of movable furniture, a Chinese-style cabinet with double doors on the outside, and burled wood drawers inside, with a fridge embedded within, complete with tea and coffee. Oh, and the toiletries are all from lelabo, which is a plus. The guest room corridor is decorated with wood carvings of the Hundred Family Surnames in movable type printing. The lobby lounge offers a direct view of the Canton Tower, and above the columns is the 'dragon nest', passing through the lobby is the restaurant, which I describe in three words: simple elegance, composure, and generosity.

In Guangzhou, my top hotel choice is definitely the Park Hyatt

My personal experiences and opinions: 1. The rooms are generally good. My room was on the 57th floor, from where I could see the Canton Tower, which I really liked. There was also plenty of bottled water provided in the room, but it seems there was no tissue box. 2. Breakfast was overall quite satisfying with a variety of options. Staff would ask what you'd like to drink as you're seated, and they had my favorite shrimp dumplings. I was too sleepy to take any photos. 3. The afternoon tea was also quite nice, featuring self-service ice cream and a selection of fruit tarts and cookies. 4. They offered a late checkout. I checked in at 2 pm and went to the Four Seasons around 3 pm. The Four Seasons had rooms available around 12 pm, so I stayed a bit longer at the Park Hyatt. 5. The hairdryer in the room was still a Vidal Sassoon, which hadn't been replaced. 6. The bedding was quite comfortable, and the cleanliness was up to standard.
