Upon entering Ritsurin Garden, the first thing that caught my eye was the spectacular pine trees. Around 1,400 pine trees shine with vitality under the sunlight. Each tree has its own story, as if telling visitors about the history and culture of this land. Particularly, the 'Crane and Turtle Pine,' symbolizing longevity, with its unique shape, made me stop and appreciate the marvels of nature. The scenery within the garden changes with the seasons, each offering its own unique charm. In spring, 320 cherry blossom trees bloom in unison, with pink petals fluttering in the breeze, creating a dreamy atmosphere. The autumn foliage is equally mesmerizing, with vibrant colors reflecting on the lake, forming a captivating picture. Such beauty not only enchanted me but also made me feel the endless charm of nature. While enjoying matcha at 'Kikugetsutei,' I felt an indescribable sense of tranquility. Sitting in the ancient teahouse, surrounded by lakes and mountains, I forgot the hustle and bustle of the outside world, and my mind was truly at ease. This sense of serenity was the greatest reward of my trip. The uniqueness of Ritsurin Garden lies not only in its natural beauty but also in the culture and history it carries. Carefully maintained by generations, it has become a sanctuary for people's souls. They say it's really beautiful even when the lotus flowers bloom, I went there in October and came back with a refreshing and green park. There are so many people who make pretty gardens that you can see people here and there who are always tending to the park no matter when you go The six ponds and the Seokgasan Mountain are great for taking pictures with the bridge, and it's a pretty park no matter which direction you look. If you can bring a packed lunch, I recommend spending more time. I went there without any expectations and was pressed for time because of the flight, so I only stayed for about an hour, but it was such a shame. You can also take a boat!

It opens very early in the morning, so it's best to visit early. It's especially beautiful in autumn when the leaves change color. The garden is quite large, so take your time to explore it slowly. If you don't like quiet and serene places, you might not enjoy it.

In early December, the red maple leaves and green pine trees in Ritsurin Garden complement each other beautifully. The garden is filled with pine trees, with around 1,400 in total, of which about 1,000 have been pruned by artisans. After 300 years, the branches of these artisan-pruned pine trees have become as beautiful as bonsai. The unique shape of the short box pines in the park, which have been pruned by artisans for over 300 years, left a deep impression on me. Kikugetsu-tei offers Japanese tea snacks. It is a square tea room-style elegant building and the central building of the circular daimyo garden.
