Is Shanghai Wild Animal Park worth visiting?
Ticket🎫: Single 165, Double 269, Student 82 💰
The park is quite large as shown in the timetable.
The trip is not cheap.🕐 The feeding times for animals closer to the inside are from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, and from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, while for those near the entrance, it's from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Therefore, if you want to feed the animals up close, it is recommended to enter the park before 9:00 am, head to the furthest areas first, and then slowly make your way to the exit. The park closes at 5:30 pm (make sure to keep an eye on the time because there are more free animal shows and circus performances in various squares).
The tiger feeding is very worth watching. 🐯
The feeding price is almost 30💰/person.
We might be the first ones to play amusement rides in the zoo, we played on the Ferris wheel, carousel, and pirate ship, totaling 95💰.
Feeding flamingos🦩30💰, elephants🐘30💰, totaling 60💰.
Had a turkey leg🍗 (personally found it not tasty and the promotion was too exaggerated) 65💰.
Fast food single set meal 50💰.
The park has fast food and noodle restaurants, not just a McDonald's, almost got fooled❌.
Next to the circus, there is a station with a sightseeing bus that enters the beast area. The free bus is a regular coach🚌, and the bus for feeding is the one with yellow railings, 50💰/person.
(Images 9⃣ and 🔟)
Took a boat ride around to see animals for 60💰/person (Image 8⃣).
You can bring your own snacks and water, they don't check bags, and a bottle of water, whether mineral or soft drink, is 10💰 in the park.
Single person's one-day expense is 565💰.

A super detailed guide to a day trip to Shanghai Wild Animal Park
The Shanghai Wild Animal Park is located near Pudong Chuansha, not far from Disney, and we checked in together on this trip.
The park has three major areas and four performances (time attached later)
The three major areas are the walking area, the vehicle area, and the water area
If you are on a day trip, you can refer to our itinerary, which can basically cover all areas, plus two performances, while taking into account the rest of the children and the mid-game meal.
1️⃣ Be sure to bring a stroller
If you don't bring it, you can rent one after entering the park
60 yuan cap for one day
This money is worth it‼️
2️⃣ Order of play
You can play clockwise after entering the park
First go to feed the flamingos🦩 (extra charge, 30r)
Then look at the precious birds🦅
After watching, you can go straight to the sea lion performance hall
This performance is very popular, almost full
The performance is about 30 minutes, ending around 10:30
After watching the sea lion performance, you can take a walk by Swan Lake
Around 11 o'clock, take a bus to see the beasts
The zoo ticket includes bus fare, no extra charge
If you do feeding, extra charge
The stroller can be left at the station at this time
Push the car again after the vehicle area is over
If you are hungry after coming out, you can have lunch first
(There is a restaurant next to the station)
If you are not hungry, you can continue to play in the water area
The water area can be walked or boated
It is recommended to take a boat, which can save a lot of time and energy
You can also pay for feeding while boating
Give a small doll
This is up to the individual, it's casual
You can watch the performance in the sun square when you come out of the water area
The performance itself is quite shocking
Especially some performances, fleeting at a fast speed
Then you can go to see elephants🐘-zebras🦓-tigers🐯 and other beasts, this line is along, no detours
There are many restaurants along the way
You can stop for a meal and rest
There is also an ice and snow kingdom when you go out at the end
45r per person, unlimited time but not allowed to enter after coming out
I think it's average
But the child insisted on playing, so she played
Restaurant🍴
The Wild Animal Park has many restaurants
And the distribution is very scattered
Basically, you can find food in any area
We chose McDonald's🍔
There are many people, but there will be a place after a while
You can also bring your own snacks
The ticket checker at the door doesn't check
Tickets🎫
It is recommended to buy tickets on the platform before 9 o'clock or one day in advance
139r/person, 270r/double
Buy the feeding ticket on site
Just in case the queue is too long
Among them, kangaroos and giraffes🦒
Bb below 90cm is 🆓

Shanghai wildlife Animal Park is a great place to spend a day with your family or as a couple.
Animals are very well treated and appear to be healthy and well fed.
Best part is the „safari“ where you’re sitting in the cage instead of the animals
Getting there: close to Disney Land, Metro Line 6 Wild Animal Park in the South of Pudong
Highly recommend :)

SHANGHAI WILD ANIMAL PARK
Price : paid around ¥220 in total for everything
I enjoyed the circus the most . What a great show and yes there’s a circus inside the park . it’s a must watch. Paid ¥100 for the circus but the show was worth more than that . This park got a lot of animals some I’ve never seen or heard about them before. I was so shocked when I saw penguins and kangaroos. As an animal lover I had mixed feelings about the environment for animals.

It's the beginning of summer, let's go to Shanghai Wild Animal Park ! There are lots of trees to provide shade from the UV rays , the area is scenic and therapeutic. The Garden of Eden , tucked away in the outskirts of the big city. Escape for awhile and bask in the splendor of nature !
I love Shanghai .😁

Best zoo so far
🦝 This is the best zoo I ever visited so far the in China. The animals are fat, happy and more or less free. You won't see cages here, they put humans in the cages, but not animals, I think this is quite fair.
🦛 I visited this zoo many times and still didn't figured out how animals don't escape since there are no fences or anything, prevailing them from going far away. Lemurs have the whole island for themselves with trees and little tree houses, there is nothing that can stop them to go outside the island, but they just stay. So do the monkeys or flamingoes.
The zoo is huge, one day is probably not enough to visit all the animals. In the morning there is a chance to feed some animals, like giraffes, hippo, lamas, zebras or flamingoes. In the afternoon this is not allowed cause animals need to rest.
🐻 Himalaya bears are quite funny to watch, but sometimes they fight, reminding visitors they are still not pet animals. White and red pandas are adorable. Raccoons are very cute, it is entertaining to watch how they hunt for fish.
🐑 There is a small amusement park for kids and little cafeteria, but the food is quite questionable, so better bring some snacks with you.
Getting There is easy by subway line 16.

As a traveler I’m always hesitant about visiting zoos because I don’t want to see animals treated unethically. I had read reviews about the Wild Animal Park and some were good but some were really negative, so I decided to see for myself. They do have Animal performances which I’m not a fan of watching but for the most part I was impressed with this park/zoo. The animals seem to be happy with clean large enclosures. I am a teacher and actually brought my students for a field trip.

I took the children to experience it on the weekends. Generally speaking, it is worthwhile to bring children, there are more shows, and the fares are not expensive

Devils are good places to go: Learn about the "virtual textbooks" of magical nature
It seems that almost all children have animal complexes, like animals are like their nature, for urban children The zoo is a vibrant textbook for children to understand the magical nature. Fortunately, Shanghai's public facilities and shuttle facilities are complete. There are two large zoos, the Shanghai Zoo and the Safari Park. The safari is also recommended. Larger, more complete animal species, relatively more interesting, and much liked by children.
Address: No.178, Nanliu Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, 35 km from the center of Shanghai, underground station of the No. 16 Line Safari Station, but the subway station is still a short distance from the entrance of the Safari Park. You can also walk or walk. .
Scale: Covering an area of 153 hectares (about 2,300 acres), the park is home to more than 200 species of rare wild animals, including giant pandas, golden monkeys, golden takins, crested pheasants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, white rhinoceros, and cheetahs. More than 10,000, the park is divided into two major areas, the car entry area and the pedestrian zone. It is a national 5A level scenic spot.
Pedestrian zone recommendation: The pandas can see giant pandas, giraffes, chimpanzees, flamingos, and virgin wild animals. The national treasure giant pandas are not to be missed. The sleek and cute appearance is very popular among children. Giraffe exhibition area You can also experience feeding the giraffe with leaves and feel the fun of intimate contact with the giraffe, but there is an additional charge of 20 yuan for feeding the giraffe.
: The car entry area is a form of animal distribution, keeping the exhibition mode of people in the 'cage', animal freedom, giving the animal more free space. It is necessary to take a tour bus in the park and send a train at intervals of 20 minutes. The tour takes half an hour. The tour bus is divided into a regular car and a feeding car (you can feed the animals in the car). The former is included in the ticket, the latter There is an additional charge (about 35 yuan per adult, no feed).
The car entry area can be immersed in a group of zebras, antelopes and other herbivores surrounded by leisurely foraging scenes, but also to see the wild tigers of the Northeast Tiger, African lions, bears, and other large beasts.
The Shanghai Wildlife Park also has a variety of performances. Every day from 13:30 to 14:30, there is a large square art performance during this time. It is very popular and almost packed. It is recommended to go early.
Ticket price: 130 yuan / person, WeChat to buy tickets or online purchase in advance is only 120 yuan, an adult with the same day tickets can be free to bring a child under 6 years old or below 1.3 meters into the park
haruxu.
In the memory, the animals in the zoo are not sleeping, they like to take the butt to the tourists, and the smell that is invisible in the air is really very sensational. The Shanghai Wildlife Park completely overturned my imagination of the zoo and was worth calling for her.
It is recommended to enter the park and go to the beast bus area to reduce the queue time. The zoo ticket contains free bus tickets. However, if you want to see feeding, you have to buy a special equipment ticket. I recommend everyone to take this close-up observation of the beast's iron bar car, which is very exciting! There is only a brown bear who has been eating in the car for a long time in order to eat radish. It is important to understand the interpretation and performance time of each district. You can get the timetable by picking up the tour map or downloading the official app. It is highly recommended to watch Russian circus, Panda Hall, Foxtail Island, Tiger Food, Sea Lion Show, Bear Bear Mountain Bear Feeding and so on. In addition, there are parent-child flamingos, alpacas, kangaroos, pigeons and parrots, all of which are not included in the ticket. Tired, there are many rest areas, very human. Of course, the purchase of a battery ticket is also a saving option.
Telling the truth, watching the pandas squatting and smashing the bamboo, it is too cured, I can watch it all day. I was also climbed to the top of my head by a lemur and had a close encounter. There are many people in the popular animal area. It is recommended that everyone come to the park in the morning to play, and parking is very convenient.
Finally, I hope that everyone will watch the animals in a civilized way, and don't feed and beat the glass at will. Love animals, everyone is responsible!

Shanghai Wildlife Park: Save time and effort, read this before you go
Just got back from the park, here are some tips, read this before you go!
09:00–17:00 (last entry at 16:00)
Parking lot P2 is the closest to the entrance (usually has spaces before 10:30; CNY 30/day). It's best to arrive at 09:00, but 10:00 is also fine. Head straight to the sea lion show or the safari bus tour.
[No extra charge] Route to avoid detours (save time, see the highlights, you can go the other way but this is the best route):
Turn left after entering the park! (See the flamingos on the way back, they glow in the evening) Big Mouth Corridor, Sea Lion Show (10:00–10:30), Safari Bus Tour (take the bus to see the beasts, queuing + tour takes 1 hour) → Swan Lake, Ostriches/Penguins/Kangaroos/Alpacas/Giraffes/Pandas/Cheetahs, Beast Hill Show (14:15 or 15:15), Zebras/African Elephants/Asian Elephants, Lemur Island, Flying Bears/Ant Eaters/Small Animal Park, Macaws/Flamingos, Exit
TIPS:
1. Try to go early! The animals are most active in the morning, and lazy after being fed in the afternoon, especially in the safari and feeding areas.

6. The feeding area is usually open 11:00–15:00, buy feeding tickets in advance for a discount.
7. The Beast Hill Show and Sun Plaza Show have similar content, but the Beast Hill Show is bigger and better, choose Beast Hill! Remember to queue at least 25 minutes in advance, we recommend Gate 4, it's shaded (e.g. for the 15:15 show, you can enter at 14:50, people usually start queuing at 14:30. If the show has already started or you don't want to queue, buy a VIP ticket, CNY 50/person (free for children under 90 cm).
8. There's a children's play area next to Beast Hill: Ferris wheel, bumper cars, pirate ship, etc.
9. You must visit Lemur Island, you can get up close to the animals for free.
10. The Small Animal Park has otters, marmots, sika deer, fennec foxes, and various monkeys, suitable for young children.
Food
See the map for restaurants in the park. The McDonald's at the Swan Restaurant is popular (expensive and not very good, you can order in advance on the app). We recommend bringing your own food.

There are so many kinds of swans, all equally elegant! 😊 There is a great viewing spot, where you can sit in the pavilion after passing through the Tiger Restaurant, and you can also see cute baby swans! After walking around the park, we returned to Swan Lake at sunset, when the birds were returning to their nests, creating a different kind of tranquility!

Visit Shanghai Wildlife Park to see the adorable panda cubs.
I fell in love with pandas because of Huahua, Menglan, and Fubao! Their cuteness and intelligence will fill your heart with joy!
After seeing Hefeng and Xingguang at Shanghai Zoo, I wanted to visit Shanghai Wildlife Park to see the national treasures here! The weather was great on the weekend, with blue skies and white clouds, and there weren't many tourists, making it a great experience to see the pandas!
Shanghai Wildlife Park has five pandas. The three pandas, Kangkang, Xuebao, and Qianjin, who celebrated their collective birthday in October, were all sleeping. Fortunately, Qiqi was eating, and Jiajia was patrolling the park. They were all super cute! You can even take a panda doll home with you! 😍

Short, but wonderful Shanghai trip!
3 days in Shanghai was really well spent.
First day we went to the #yugarden and famous #xintiandi street followed by the view of the night #jingantemple. It was marvelous!
Day number 2 we’ve spent exploring #thebundshanghai and the North Bund. At night the short trip on a boat is recommended!
Day number 3 we’ve spent in the Wild Animal park which is huge! I suggest you to go there for at least 4 hours!

Wild Adventure: A Wonderful Encounter at Shanghai Wild Animal Park
Stepping into Shanghai Wild Animal Park feels like entering a pristine natural world. The animals here live in spacious areas, freely roaming among the grass and trees, as if they were in the wild. Walking along the park's paths, the crisp songs of birds surround you, and even before you see them, you can feel the vibrant energy of life.
A particularly unforgettable experience is the vehicle tour in the predator zone. Outside the car window, lions and tigers lie peacefully on the grass, lazily gazing at us with their majestic presence. As the car passes by, these big cats occasionally glance at us, seemingly communicating silently with their lively eyes. In the savannah area, giraffes stroll leisurely, lifting their long necks and gently approaching, their gentle eyes and smooth fur bringing a sense of warmth.
At the panda pavilion, a few adorable pandas are peacefully eating in the bamboo grove, their slow movements incredibly cute. This trip not only allowed me to get up close with various wild animals but also found a tranquil place to resonate with nature amidst the bustling city.

✅ Kangaroos, flamingos, giraffes, zebras, elephants, etc., can all be fed interactively, with an additional charge of CNY 30/person
✅ In the Water Exploration Area, you can take a boat to see some animals not found in other areas
Monkey Island is quite interesting, as monkeys will jump onto the boat, but the rest is just average
(There are many salespeople at the entrance selling tickets for CNY 60/person, but I personally don't think it's worth it)
✅ Strollers are CNY 40/hour, with a maximum of CNY 60
You can rent tandem bicycles and four-person electric vehicles
We took the park shuttle bus, which costs CNY 45/adult and CNY 25/child
It can only stop at designated stations, and each station can only be visited once
✅ You can bring your own snacks and drinks into the park, and you can also bring a picnic mat
It's recommended to bring more water, as the water in the park costs CNY 10/bottle

A Joyful Time Close to Nature——An Exciting Adventure at Shanghai Wild Animal Park
Shanghai Wild Animal Park is an excellent place to get close to nature and interact with animals. During this visit, I fully experienced the wild charm of nature and the vitality of life. The park features a wide variety of animals, showcasing rare wildlife from around the world, allowing me to appreciate the wonder and diversity of the animal kingdom.
One of the experiences I highly recommend here is taking the sightseeing bus into the 'Self-Drive Zone.' In this area, predators roam freely, and I saw lions, tigers, and other large cats leisurely walking beside the bus, sometimes chasing each other, sometimes lazily lying under the shade of trees, as if in their natural habitat. This close-up encounter with predators is thrilling and novel.
The walking area of the park is equally fascinating, where gentle herbivores like giraffes, zebras, and antelopes can be fed up close. Children especially love interacting with these gentle animals, filling the park with laughter and joy. Additionally, there are wonderful animal performances, such as sea lion shows and bird of prey demonstrations, showcasing the intelligence and lively nature of the animals.
Shanghai Wild Animal Park is not just a place to watch animals but also an educational paradise. Through close contact with animals, the park conveys the message of protecting animals and cherishing nature to visitors. Both adults and children will find joy in interacting with nature here, while also enhancing their understanding and awareness of wildlife conservation.
This trip made me deeply appreciate the beauty of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. It was an adventure that was both fun and meaningful. If you are looking for a place to have close encounters with animals, Shanghai Wild Animal Park is definitely the best choice.

Highlight 2: Unique in China! Cheetah race display
Coming to the three free theaters of Shanghai Wild Animal Park, Sun Square, Beast Mountain Theater and Sea Lion Theater, is a must for check-in. Among them, the unique display project "Cheetah Race" in China has attracted many tourists to come and see the style of "the most beautiful flash". "Cheetah Race" is an innovative display project unique to our park. Through the Fengrong device in the Sun Square, the cheetah is induced to show its natural behavior of running fast and chasing prey on the vast African grassland. This kind of scene simulation and Fengrong measures not only provide a hunting environment close to the natural environment for the cheetahs in the zoo, but also for these animals that are usually difficult to get enough exercise in the zoo environment, running has become an important part of their daily exercise, which has significant benefits for maintaining the physical health of the cheetahs and improving their quality of life. At the same time, the "Cheetah Race" display project also creates a vivid and educational viewing experience for tourists. In addition to being able to observe the agility and speed of cheetahs at close range, it also deepens the understanding of the role and survival status of cheetahs in nature. Note: Cheetah race display is in Sun Square at 12:00. If it rains or the temperature is above 35 ℃, it will be cancelled. The specific display time is subject to the on-site notice.
Highlight 3: How many steps does it take to change from "kitten" to "king"?
This is the small animal paradise of Shanghai Wild Animal Park, a cradle that has nurtured countless new lives. From the weak "kitten" to the brave king, each growth has witnessed the protection of life. Due to the artificial captive environment, some animal mothers will be nervous after production, and the consumption and weakness brought by natural childbirth will make them anxious. Animals that give birth for the first time are prone to abandon their cubs and lack milk. At this time, the animal keeper will take care of the babies instead of the animal mother. The weak new life is sometimes not healthy and perfect, but in our eyes, it is a new hope. Recently, the one-month-old Northeast Tiger triplets have attracted everyone's attention with all kinds of cute looks. They are fluffy and milky, have no teeth, and call out milky and fierce, just like three little kittens who have not shown their edge. In the comfortable indoor, the triplets have a good relationship and often play "stacking music", gently biting each other's ears and feet.
When the temperature is suitable, they will also come to the outdoor lawn to play and feel a wider world. Taking care of these animal babies is no different from raising human babies. The hard work and dedication in the process are hard to describe. The keepers guard for 24 hours without interruption, and observe their breathing and body temperature carefully. Every slight cough or tremor is enough to touch their hearts.
Next to the baby garden, a group of 6-8 month old African lions and Northeast tigers "trainees" are experiencing the transition from "greenhouse" to nature. In a wider outdoor activity field, they are learning all kinds of skills needed for survival: climbing, running, chasing, jumping, dodging... After a while, the "kitten" will also "stand on its own feet" and establish its own kingdom!

Shanghai Wildlife Park's limited night tour.
September nights are the perfect time for a night tour of the zoo! The temperature is just right and there are not too many tourists. You can stroll around the park in the evening breeze and quietly watch the cute little animals.
🦘 Capybaras, kangaroos, and giraffes have feeding areas. You can spend CNY 30 per person to feed and touch these cute animals up close. You must try feeding the capybaras. They are cute and gentle, and their round bellies are super cute to touch.
⭐️ Night tour of the beast area, this is a must-see highlight! The ticket includes a regular tour bus ticket, which you can take for free. In addition, there are two types of feeding cars to choose from. The feeding car allows you to watch animals eat up close. The regular feeding car costs CNY 50 per person (fed by staff), and the VIP feeding car costs CNY 100 per person (you can feed the animals yourself). The last tour bus and feeding car are at 21:30. After we took the last feeding car, the park staff came to pick us up in a battery car, saying that the park was about to close and it would be faster to drive us out, and they could get off work. They sent us directly to the parking lot, which was super considerate.
🎉 Some small tips for playing:
1. Non-essential items that can enhance the experience: flashlight (avoid shining on small animals' eyes for a long time), mosquito repellent spray, power bank, camera/CCD.
2. You can download the app in advance-Shanghai Wildlife Park, which contains maps and event details.

Shanghai Wildlife Park is really fun! Little pot friends like it very much. It's a wise choice to go on September 1st. There are not many people. I have been to every scenic spot, and I have seen every performance. As soon as you enter the park, you can go directly to the bus stop and take a bus to see animals. Hundreds of air conditioners on the car are also cool , was very excited to see the wild animals. The performances are also wonderful. The only regret is that I didn't watch the circus performance.

A date with animals | Shanghai Wild Animal Park.
Shanghai Wild Animal Park is a place worth visiting.
I had a good impression of it before. Especially the beast area, it's fun to sit and watch tigers, lions, black bears, and wolves.
Overall, the animals are well cared for, whether it's their fur or their condition. And there are many types of animals. In Shanghai Wild Animal Park, you can see animals from all over the world; from tropical giraffes and zebras to cold polar bears and arctic foxes. There are also various birds, mammals or reptiles, all of which can be seen here.
The park is large enough, 3-4 hours at least, friends with babies or elders and plenty of time are advised to reserve a day, it is recommended to push a stroller, it is necessary to bring some food and water to satisfy hunger.
Don't miss the animal show, grab a map when you enter the park, it is recommended to reserve time to watch the show, if you want to sit in a better position, be sure to go early.
Shanghai Wild Animal Park is a good place for family fun and learning about animals.
