My journey began with an early morning flight, and the plane landed at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in the bright morning sunlight. As soon as I got off the plane, I felt the warmth of Bangkok. The airport's design is modern and spacious, and the immigration procedures were quite swift. After collecting my luggage, I took the airport express to the hotel I had booked. I chose a hotel located in the city center, making it convenient for me to explore the city. The hotel staff were very friendly and provided me with local travel suggestions and maps, which made me look forward to the upcoming itinerary. After dropping off my luggage, I couldn't wait to taste the local cuisine. I found a small food stall on a nearby street and ordered Pad Thai and Tom Yum Goong soup. The Pad Thai was delicious, with fresh shrimp and peanuts, making me an instant fan. The sour and spicy taste of Tom Yum Goong soup made me appreciate the unique charm of Thai cuisine. Trip to Bangkok 🇹🇭

It was a short trip to Bangkok with family. Just to recommend some of the amazing places and restaurants that we loved 🥰 We visited The Grand Palace. It is a former royal residence, showcasing stunning architecture and the revered Emerald Buddha. The building was very beautiful and worth to visit. 📍Na Phra Lan Road, Phra Nakhon. I would also recommend you to visit Wat Pho. It is famous for the Reclining Buddha statue and as a traditional massage school. We spent half day exploring around had a lot of street food nearby ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📍 2 Sanamchai Road, Phra Nakhon. We also visited the famous Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). The Iconic riverside temple known for its towering spires. The central prang (tower) of Wat Arun is decorated with colorful porcelain and seashells, which create intricate patterns. We walked around slowly to admire the detailed craftsmanship and the beautiful spires. 📍158 Thanon Wang Doem, Wat Arun, Bangkok Yai Last but not least, I would also recommend you to visit Jim Thompson House. A museum in a traditional Thai house dedicated to the American silk entrepreneur, Jim Thompson. The highlight of visiting Jim Thompson House is the guided tour. Knowledgeable guides took us through the six traditional Thai-style houses that make up the complex, explaining the history of the house, Jim Thompson's life, and the artifacts he collected. It is very worth to visit 🙌🙌🙌 📍6 Soi Kasemsan 2, Rama 1 Road, Pathumwan. As for local Thai food, I would recommend you to try Jay Fai. It is Famous for its Michelin-starred street food, particularly the crab omelette 🦀 📍327 Maha Chai Road, Samran Rat, Phra Nakhon. If you prefer a decent restaurant, you can check out the Gaggan Anand. A renowned fine dining restaurant. The food was very lovely as well as the staffs. The price was reasonable. All the dishes that we ordered were delicious ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📍68/1 Soi Langsuan, Ploenchit Road, Lumphini. We also visited the famous restaurant, Sorn. If you’re visiting Bangkok this is a must visit, the Grand Palace. I booked my tickets online in advance, use the palace website and they will send you a QR code to collect tickets when you arrive. The palace itself is various temples, buildings and statues in a large compound. It can be very busy so try and go very early to beat the crowds. I was blown away by the detailing and intricate designs of every building and the scale of it was almost overwhelming. It can get very hot but there is lots of shade, so take breaks when you need too! There are audio tours or guided tours available but I opted for walking around and taking everything in myself. You can get there by bus, taxi, tuk tuk or the metro. I got the metro to Sanaa Chai then it’s a ten minute walk 💰Average Price per Person: 500 Tajo baht / £12 🕰️Business Hours: 8:30 - 3:30 🏖️Ambiance/Facilities: It’s a temple. ✈️Transportation: Hong Kong to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Hong Kong 🚌From Shenzhen Bay Port, take the B3X bus to Hongqiao Station, then A36 directly to Hong Kong Airport Terminal 🏨Accommodation: Ibis Styles Bangkok Sukhumvit Phra Khanong (Not close to Siam shopping district, but there are several popular stores nearby, with a 711, BTS, and affordable room rates. The cleaning lady is also very diligent, highly recommended!) 🤠Itinerary: Day1 Watergate Temple—Chulalongkorn Night Market Street Day2 Grand Palace-iconsam-Siam Shopping District Day3 Siam Shopping District-Massage-Chulalongkorn Food Street 🚖Getting around Bangkok: We mostly took taxis, then boats or BTS or MRT to various places. The top recommended taxi app is bolt (cheaper), and if you can't get a taxi, consider grab. 🍽️Food: 1️⃣here hai: If you don't want to queue, just order takeaway on grab. Recommended garlic shrimp and crab spring rolls! But the crab fried rice is so-so 2️⃣Mae Varee: Also available for takeaway, the tri-color mango sticky rice is delicious, but it can get a bit cloying if you eat too much 3️⃣Chuan Fu: If you don't want to queue for Michelin mama noodles at Chulalongkorn, you can come here. Just walk a few dozen meters to the right of Milk Boy, it seems that many students come here to eat. The mama noodles and tossed rice are good, and their coconut pudding is super rich and delicious!!! 4️⃣Milk Boy: Only bought the original flavor milk, a bit like Wangzai milk?? 5️⃣iconsam basement water market: Too many choices, buy whatever you want to eat, but the prawns are not fresh, the spotted cake is also average, not recommended. The papaya salad with raw shrimp and the spicy squid salad are very tasty 6️⃣after you: The mango smoothie and toast are okay, but too sweet and cloying after a while, anyway not as good as Miss Xiao Zhuang in Quanzhou (missing it~) 7️⃣Hand-labeled Thai milk tea: Tastes the same as in Shenzhen, but half the price, so drink more~ 8️⃣Rua Thong Noodle: The best are the beef boat noodles, Tom Yum mixed noodles, dumplings, and coconut cake. In P17, only the circled items are recommended. Comp tea and sleep candy❌, but clean nose's acne essence and sunscreen are really useful, and the Snake Brand spray and concealer samples are also highly recommended 🙊bigc Shopping Experience: Apart from the dried mangosteen and strawberry-flavored Glico, everything else is OK~

#thailandtrip The Bangkok temple tour was an extraordinary cultural experience. Starting at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, the intricate architecture and historical significance were impressive. Wat Pho followed, featuring the magnificent reclining Buddha and a traditional Thai massage school. A short ferry ride took us to Wat Arun, where the colorful porcelain-decorated prang provided breathtaking views. Climbing Wat Saket, or the Golden Mount, rewarded us with panoramic city vistas and a serene atmosphere. The tour concluded at Wat Suthat, with its beautiful murals and the iconic Giant Swing. Overall, the tour was well-organized, informative, and deeply enriching, showcasing Bangkok's rich cultural heritage. ### Tips for Future Travelers - Dress Appropriately: Ensure your shoulders and knees are covered. Most temples provide sarongs if needed.
