A Mind-Blowing Journey Through Time at Windsor Castle
On a bright summer day, I had the privilege of visiting one of Britain's most famous and iconic landmarks - the majestic Windsor Castle. This 11th-century fortress, once the primary residence of British monarchs, now serves as Her Majesty's favored summer retreat. Stepping inside was like traveling through a time tunnel, immersing myself in its rich historical ambiance.
As I entered the grand gates of the castle, Windsor stood impressively vast against the backdrop of blue skies and white clouds. Crossing the moat and ascending the walls, I could overlook the castle's grandeur. Strolling along the walls, I wandered through the verdant urban landscape, gazing at the winding Thames and the rolling hills in the distance, feeling the castle's magnificence and dignity.
Next, I stepped inside the castle and was greeted by the breathtaking St. George's Chapel. Its towering spires and lavish decorations underscored the supreme authority of the British royal family. After visiting the chapel, I walked to the King's Hall, where English monarchs once received their subjects. The grand hall, adorned with exquisite ceiling frescoes, seemed to transport me back to the glory days of the Middle Ages.
Ascending to the top of the Round Tower, under the canvas of the blue sky and white clouds, I looked down upon the entire castle and its surroundings, marveling at its grandiosity and majesty. Later, I visited the Queen's private apartments, experiencing the luxurious splendor of royal life.
After savoring the historical charm of Windsor Castle, I left the magnificent fortress reluctantly. This visit was undoubtedly a highlight of my trip and will remain an unforgettable memory. The time-traveling experience deepened my admiration for the long-standing traditions of the British royal family.

Christmas vibes in #windsor #castle 🎄. Was very tempted by the food market on the high street. Regret not getting the chimney cake! Also check out the small fairground with an ice rink and cute christmassy food stalls.

Windsor Castle - a step towards history!
A unique experience that takes you back in history to the oldest inhabited castle in the world. During Christmas it is adorned with gorgeous decorations and turns into a real spectacle. Windsor Castle is a royal residence which is situated in the heart of Windsor. The Thames, which connects to London by water, passes beneath the castle.

One of the beautiful sights in Europe is the castles. They are full of history and the way they are built is magnificent. Castles are rarely being seen in Asia. Thus, when we were in London, we took the chance to visit Windsor Castle.
When we visited Windsor Castle, the weather was very good. Thus, the sky was very blue with nice clouds. With the sky as the background, the castles look spectacular. It was an enjoyable trip.
Windsor Castle is the oldest castle in the world. Construction started in 1070. It is now a royal residence in which it has been home for British Kings and Queens for almost one thousand years.

The Windsor Long Walk
This one is for the one who wants to exercise while traveling. The Long Walk of Windsor is indeed a long walk. It’s a 2.64 mile (4.2 Km) long straight path which runs from the Windsor Castle through the Windsor Castle Park and also the Deer Park to the Statue of King George III located on the place called Snow Hill.
It’s a very comfortable walk and the road and terrain is easy to walk but the visitors must pay attention to the safety while crossing the fairly surprisingly located busy road which runs across the path about in the middle. The gates near the last third are meant to keep deer park animals from going out.
If you visit the village of Windsor or the castle and have a few hours of extra time to spend, doing the long walk and having a picnic near the path is a good idea in my opinion. The views are amazing and you can even spot some big planes from
there.

2019 European Travel Notes UK #4
After going to the zoo 👧🏻👦🏻 took the time to go to Windsor’s castle 👍🏻 Unfortunately, the weather was too good 🥲😞 the sky was no blue
Because we bought a pass so we entered for free😚
To get to the castle, you have to leave from Paddington station in the UK🚞
It takes about 45 minutes to get to Reading where the castle is located
It took us about an hour and a half⏰ to slowly visit the whole castle
And at this time we are not using the e-tour service ❌
If you are interested in knowing more about the history, you can use it 💯 It is available in several languages 👍🏻
In addition, there are ice cream inside the castle 🍦😈 Different colors of crowns represent different flavors 🍫 Although 👧🏻 want to eat chocolate ice cream but really too full to eat 😵
After leaving the castle, there is actually a town outside😌
👦🏻👧🏻 Walk along the way to a river 😚 Looking at the map, I found out that it is part of the Thames 🤭🗺
There are many swans gathered on the river🦢 There are some shops selling swan food on the bank🤭 It's about £1 two packs😌 People who like to feed animals can buy it and play it❣️
👧🏻 likes to see animals but is actually afraid of animals😂 So when the swans were chasing 👧🏻 he was so scared that he ran away
British animals seem to be more unafraid of people 🤣🤣

#tripaway Beside Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle also have their own changing of guard ceremony inside the castle. You may watch the whole ceremony plus visiting the castle itself. I was so excited to watch the guards marching exiting the castle after the ceremony ends. After doing some research, I am surprise to learn that the castle is the oldest resides castle in UK and one of Herr Majesty favourite castle.

Windsor Castle, an indispensable stop in the UK, is magnificent, atmospheric and solemn. Located on the outskirts of London, driving from London to Windsor, driving for about an hour and a half. Windsor Castle is the largest and most inhabited castle in the world with its magnificent castles and towers.
It is the residence of Queen Elizabeth. Every year from March to September, the Queen likes to live here. I can watch equestrian performances. The whole castle building is very shocking.
British self-driving is still a bit hard, not only the left rudder, In addition to the automatic shifting and driving directions (in fact, Australia is also the case), here even the mileage measurement unit is miles, at first it has been wondering, how the speed limit is only 70, this car is only 5.60 yards. Later, I realized that 70 is equivalent to 120 yards. No wonder how to look at this speed is not right.

Slough: A Water Town, a Tranquil Life.
Slough, a second-level administrative district in Berkshire, Southeast England, is a vibrant and multicultural city. 🌟 With its prime location, it borders Windsor and Maidenhead to the south and South Buckinghamshire to the north, making it a shining gem around London.
🏞️ In terms of natural scenery, Slough is primarily industrial and commercial, but it still boasts many breathtaking attractions. Nearby is Windsor Castle 🏰, a historic castle that is not only a royal residence but also a popular tourist destination. From Slough, a short drive will take you to this magnificent castle.
🏢 Economically, Slough is an important satellite city around London, home to many internationally renowned companies. As early as the 1920s, the Slough Trading Estate was established, attracting numerous businesses. Today, it still hosts international giants like Mars Chocolate 🍫, O2, and LEGO 🧱, making it one of the best places to work in the UK. As the cost of living and rent in London rise, more companies are relocating their offices to Slough, boosting the local real estate market.
🎓 In terms of education, Slough also excels. It has many quality schools, such as Eton College 🏫 (although located in Windsor, it's only an 8-minute drive from Slough), and many secondary schools rated "Good" or "Outstanding" by Ofsted. This makes Slough an attractive school district for families, with many moving here for their children's education.
🍴 In terms of cuisine, Slough's traditional dishes include roast pig's trotters 🍖, stews, and various wines 🍷. Additionally, it has a wealth of supermarkets and retail parks, ensuring residents never feel lacking.
🚆 In terms of transportation, Slough is conveniently located with fast roads like the M4, M25, and M40, providing easy access to central London. Heathrow Airport ✈️ is also nearby, just a 20-minute drive away.
Slough is a vibrant and charming city, offering economic development, educational resources, natural beauty, and delicious food. 🎉 If you're looking for a place to live, work, and vacation, Slough is a must-see. 🎈

Built by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it is the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world, and has been the home of 39 monarchs.
Upon entering the castle grounds, you are greeted by the iconic Round Tower, standing proudly at the heart of the complex. The State Apartments, with their lavish decor and priceless art collections, are a highlight of the visit. Each room tells a story, from the opulent St. George's Hall, which hosts state banquets, to the exquisite Queen Mary's Dolls' House, a miniature masterpiece of craftsmanship.
A visit to Windsor Castle isn't complete without exploring St. George's Chapel, a stunning example of Gothic architecture. This chapel has been the site of many royal weddings and is the final resting place of ten monarchs, including Henry VIII and the recently passed Queen Elizabeth II. The intricate stonework and beautiful stained glass windows make it a serene and spiritual experience.
As you stroll through the castle's extensive grounds, the lush gardens offer a peaceful retreat. The Long Walk, a tree-lined avenue leading to the Copper Horse statue of King George III, provides a breathtaking view and a perfect spot for reflection or photography.
One of the most captivating experiences at Windsor Castle is witnessing the Changing of the Guard. This traditional ceremony, performed with precision and pomp, offers a glimpse into the pageantry of the British monarchy.
In summary, a trip to Windsor Castle is a journey through time, offering a unique blend of history, architecture, and royal heritage. Whether you're a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or simply looking for a day of exploration, Windsor Castle promises an unforgettable experience.

A home by the Thames.
The ideal life for a British gentleman is to have a small house in the countryside, a small garden, and if it's by the river, it's even more perfect.
My friend is a successful person who moved from the hustle and bustle of London to the countryside. The house has two floors and a living area of about 250 square meters. There is a large yard, right next to a tributary of the Thames. There is a towering tree on the large lawn in the yard, and the shade of the tree is like a crown, but it blocks the sun. You know, sunshine is a luxury in the British Isles.
The original owner of the house, my friend, has a small boat, which is parked on the small pier in the yard. After changing the owner, my friend still let him stop, in exchange for occasional boating trips. We took the opportunity to go boating. The river is clear and peaceful, without the noise of tourists. The trees and grass on both sides of the strait are natural, and the view is full of greenery.
Along the river, you can see Windsor Castle not far away, and the solemn and magnificent building highlights the majesty of the royal family.
There are houses by the river, each with different styles, but the greening is very good. It can be seen that the owners are carefully cared for. The surrounding area is very safe. The iron gates and walls of the house are more decorative than security, and they divide their own territories.
Life in the countryside is simple and leisurely. Barbecuing and drinking in the yard are also fun. There are markets nearby, and there will be regular rural horse racing. All are for fun.
It is far from London. It takes about an hour to take the subway and change to the train. Then it takes more than 10 minutes to get there by car. Those who like lively or go to work will move back to the city after a while.
