YONGHEGONG (Lama Temple) situated up north of Beijing, once you arrived the yonghegong station take exit C/B then walks around the temple to the entrance. Whilst it can get crowded with people buying bracelets to be blessed by the monks, if you go further into the complex, there are spaces which are very quiet and good for reflection. One of the highlights of our trip was seeing the huge wooden statue of Buddha in one of the halls which is an impressive sight.

Yong He Gong aka 雍和宫 which is located in the capital of People's Republic of China Beijing and which is considered one of the best preserved Lama or Lamaism Buddhism temples outside if Tibet. Without any exaggerations, this temple is a unique germ in a Beijing cultural heritage necklace. Yong He Temple possesses very rare artifacts which could not be found anywhere else and therefore representing the difference between lamaism and other studied and giving the picture of Lama doctrine. The architectural style was found topical for Lama Temple planning in Tibet. At the same time the temple is commemorating the memory of Qing Dynasty emperor for which glory sake it was established. For instance, The Iron Hall of Qing Dynasty is kept very well in this temple (taking photos are prohibited with both reasons, religious and aim to protect it from light). At first, we are in Yong He Gong Lamaist monastery in the heart of Beijing City, Dongcheng district. Yong He Gong has a lot of artifacts but this one is really impressive, just mind shocking! Very tall solid Buddha stature created from bronze! It has no parts, it was moulded as it is during the Qing dynasty for the sake of those days emperor glory and popularization of Buddhism as the marketing guys could say now. Immense Buddha is dressed in very clean and beautiful clothes looks like watching you from a high altitude with a little smile. It's often said that wishes made at Yonghe Temple are always granted, but I just wanted to take a stroll and admire the architectural beauty of the temple. Located in Dongcheng District, Beijing, Yonghe Temple was originally the residence of Emperor Yongzheng and was known as Yong Prince's Mansion. Later, Emperor Qianlong was also born here, making it a place that produced two emperors. In the 9th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign, it was converted into a Lama temple.
