You certainly won't miss the landmarks such as the Gothic-style Church of St. Sebastian, the 3-arched city gates Portas da Cidade, the town hall of Ponta Delgada and it's bell tower. The fountain, flowerbed and statue on front of the town hall make it a nice place to take insta worthy pictures! If you have the energy, do climb the bell tower as it offers spectacular views of the city from the top! We had dinner twice at Restaurante O Baco during our stay in Hotel Ponta Delgada. The restaurant is elegantly decorated and has a cozy ambience. The name of the restaurant, Baco, comes from the Roman god of wine. So you can expect a wide selection of quality wines to accompany your meal. A main course costs around 15 euros. We ordered catch of the day (fish) which was fresh and tasty. Steak was more expensive than the other dishes but tasted average. Kid's meal came with a soup, pasta and dessert. We had a hearty dinner in a cozy little restaurant called Restaurante Estradinho during our stay in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel Island, Azores, Portugal. It is a traditional family operated restaurant that serves fresh seafood cooked in authentic Azorean style. Each of us ordered a different kind of seafood as main dish. Each main dish came with either rice or potatoes and salad. The food was well seasoned and came in generous portions. The food and drinks were priced reasonably. Our visit to Ponta da Ferraria, a unique lava delta known for its natural thermal pool located in Ginetes on the western coastline of São Miguel Island, was truly memorable. Due to the closure of road access to the parking area at Termas da Ferraria, the spa adjacent to the natural thermal pool, we opted to walk from Miradouro da Ilha Sabrina. This picturesque viewpoint offers stunning vistas of the coastline and the ocean. Ponta da Ferraria is a lava delta located in Ginetes on the west coastline of São Miguel Island. There is an underwater geothermal spring that heats up the ocean. The heated water mixes with the cold water of the sea in a small cove to form a small natural thermal pool. The entrance to the natural pool is free. The timing of visit is vital if you want to experience an authentic Atlantic Spa at Ferraria. The best time to visit is between two hours before and after the low tide when the water is warm. During high tide the current may be too strong and the water is not warm enough. There are ropes for you to hold on as the Atlantic waves are very strong. One of the best bell towers I have climbed is in Ponta Delgada. We visited the bell tower at my nephew's request, and it turned out to be one of the top attractions on São Miguel Island. Standing at 29.6 meters, the bell tower was built in 1724 and reopened in 2013 after being closed for several years. If you are physically fit, you should not miss the chance to climb it, as it offers spectacular 360° views of the city from the top. Price per Person - 50 euros Rating - 5/5 Amazing food, incredible staff and a calm ambience to enjoy your meal. Great place for a date or for a peaceful dinner with family or friends. The food is a modern type with typical ingredients from the island, like passion fruit, pineapple, beef, and fish. For me the best part was the fish, they had lots of variety’s of white fish from the island, but also some Tuna fish also from the island. This was the highlight of my meal for sure. For dessert the best plate was the island yogurt with pineapple.

Many of the buildings here are With the unique material - the volcanic rock with a bubble sense, the color is deeper Dinner time is as late as ever! 9 o'clock This island is dominated by animal husbandry and agriculture. But the whole island is clean and incredible. Especially the farmer is most surprised me! The environment in which cows are planted with pineapples, etc., is well-organized and clean. It completely subverts my feelings in the breeding field! Respect! If you dont have a car here, you cant go far. We went to the very famous lakes and forests in the area, so there is no car, so we didnt go to the hot springs. The tourism industry doesnt figure out the pick here. Its a small island/hh that few people know. / Ponta Delgada is not as good as Lisbon, but there is also a natural landscape that Rees can't match. It is suitable for children who prefer nature. I will give 3.5 points . It will be slightly cheaper than Lisbon. Transportation is very good Need to drive by yourself! ! !
