⛩️ Breathtaking views of a temple hanging high up on a cliff side ⛰️ Incredible hike that includes multiple ladders with even more views at the peak 🥾 Temple hike is friendly to all ages and abilities, peak hike not so much 🏨 Hotel available at base 📸 Photogenic scenery that’s IG friendly 🌤️ Fun in all weather Lingtongshan is a must see no matter the weather if you’re in the Xiamen/Zhangzhou area. I’ve done the hike in sun, rain, and heavy fog and each time is a unique, beautiful, and fun experience. Cost of entry is 20 yuan per person. I’ve taken my 65 year old parents, friends who aren’t in the best shape, dog, and seen countless kids make the hike up the stairs to the temple. The temple portion is about a 30 minute trek and most people of any fitness level can make it. The hike that forks off and goes to the peak is more difficult and requires the ability to squeeze into tight spaces and climb ladders. Be aware if you bring your dog they’ll either need to fit in a bag or you’ll need another way to carry them up the ladders. Hike this portion at your own discretion. The peak hike would take an average group a little over an hour going up and a little less coming back down. Depending on who I hike with I’ve done it as fast as 40 minutes up though. If you have a Chinese drivers license it’s highly recommended to rent a car and drive out to the mountain. The trip from Xiamen is beautiful in itself and you’ll have the flexibility of going/leaving when you want. Getting a DiDi or taxi is very difficult from the mountain so please be prepared ahead of time. A beautiful lake is the centre piece of the park with a path winding around it. Although it is located in the city of dongguan it feels very rural, natural, and unspoiled. It took us about 3 hours to walk the whole way round and is great for taking the dog on a decent walk. There is a strawberry picking place if its the right season though! Not too busy and really peaceful, this is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon and escape the hustle and bustle of the city. I was first drawn to it because I saw so many cute dogs inside! The interior gives off the glamping picnic vibe, really chill and casual. The weather is certainly changing constantly but the beaches always have the same expanse of sand and little rock pools to enjoy. The main beach has dog friendly sections in the summer and the 2 smaller ones allow dogs all the time. There’s a few pubs and cafes, village shop and a great chippy! Free parking by the little beach or paid car park by the main beach. If you’re feeling energetic walk to Porth Y Wylfa just along the coast, a horseshoe bay only accessible by foot, never seen another soul there. #beach #dogfriendly #seascape #waves

Across the road from Ala Town is Aegean Mall which also boasts an amazing array of bars and restaurants. the area is dog friendly and most of all, STUNNING ! Accessing the area is easy via taxis and scooters. Take your time to walk around and enjoy the sights. many Chinese and Korean restaurants with the most amazing BBQ. The Mixc Mall is across the road from the Aegean mall and kost definitely worth the trip.

The Kabloom Festival of Flowers is beautiful with fields of flowers, colour and fun. there were 2 main sections of food vendors so each main area was close to warm drinks and food. the event doesn't have much shelter so definitely pack large umbrellas and plastic coats as the weather fluctuations however is mostly rain. I highly recommend gumboots too as it is very muddy. the weather doesn't discourage performances and there are wonder fantasy folk Wondering the park for photos. amazing job! face paint, small play areas for kids, a tractor ride ($5 each) that departs frequently around the grounds. The food is pricey as expected but at least it is all decent quality. I loved the Dutch fish and chips. the store owner was in high spirits singing along to his radio as he prepared the food . very pet friendly but make sure you cover your car seats for the way back! mine loved Playing in the mud. plenty of parking and not too far from the entrance. not many toilets but they are covered, clean and disabled friendly. the workers were all very lovely and I look forward to their next event, the Tulip festival later this year .#familytravel #awesomepic #kabloom #festival #dog friendly
