Mummy took us to Cavallino Pizzeria in Terry Hills for dinner this evening! It's honestly the best pizzeria on the Northern Beaches, and the ingredients are high quality 🍅🥓🧀 The restaurant itself also has a chill, relaxed atmosphere. It reminds us of those lodges or cabins in the mountains with the wooden rustic style and the glass for light and looking outside🏔️🏞️ We would advise you, however, to drive there as public transport is scarce in that area plus there's no footpath from the bus stop to the pizzeria. A new American fast food diner has hit our shores, it's called Five Guys and we just discovered it this morning! The staff were very friendly as you can see from the picture of them posing for the camera, which was sweet. We then sat down for a lovely grilled cheese breakfast, admiring the 50s style decor while we waited. They truly serve the best grilled cheese in the country that we've tried so far, and mummy is quite the grilled cheese connoisseur. But besides that they serve burgers, hotdogs and other typical diner food, which if the grilled cheese is good the other stuff must be too! 📍It’s quite an isolated gem of Hyogo prefecture, full of pleasant surprises. It was very worthy of a 2 hour journey by train from Himeji station. 💞But I recommend to stay maybe a couple of days, to fully immerse in and enjoy this pretty city. The number of times we ran into delicious meals was astounding. The people there love healthy oishii food and they talk and live it. To all the bag geeks, you must visit Kaban street, literally translated as Bag street, and it doesn’t disappoint! After the kaban shopping, don’t miss a night out at Bar Re:plus+, a bar stocked with excellent alcohol especially good whisky at very fair prices. And we also had worthwhile chats with some locals there. Then I conclude with my favorite part on this journey, where we rented bicycles to visit Kounotorinosato to see the white oriental birds. Planning to visit Laos and Vietnam for the Chinese new year and my wife suggested to go first to Xishuangbanna and from there take the train to Laos..I didn’t know what to expect, first time for me in Yunnan…and I felt in love with this place, the atmosphere, the stunning beauty of the attractions we visited and of course with the food. Bann Kang Wat, or the Artist Village, is hidden in the outskirts of Chiang Mai City in Thailand. After reading reviews online we thought it was something that would take little more than an hour and would be best placed on an itinerary with other things to see in the same morning. However, we were so please we assigned a whole morning to visit. The art village featured a huge variety of small shops and stalls selling different handmade creative crafts. This ranged from souvenirs, clothing, books to workshops for small children on how to paint or make small ceramic items. There are limited food options available, however there was a fantastic restaurant in the centre of the village which served Northern Thai curry noodles in a very authentic manor using bamboo trays. This was very reasonably priced and incredibly tasty. Each stall or shop deserves a slow and careful look. It is clear all these things are made with great love and attention and offers so much inspiration for a visitor. A particular highlight was a bookshop called ‘Name a book’. In this shop you can customise your own notebook using different stamps and presses. Public transport to the art village, like much of Chiang Mai, is limited so highlight recommend taking a Bolt or a Grab to the attraction. The cars stop right outside the village and seem to find it easily. Overall, it is worth spending at least 2 hours and really soaking in all the different items and ideas that are on offer here. #deliciousfood

This hidden gem is actually hiding behind the Daily OtAk otak shop and it's a really nice place for the photo. Gentle reminders don't drive in , you can park outside in front of the daily otak otak. Boss has told us that this place before turning into a photo place actually is a manufacturer of otak otak, previously they had a lot of staff grilling otak otak and now they have improved it. Now they are using machines and just one staff member is doing this.
