Budget-Friendly Taiwanese Eatery in Kwun Tong
On Saturday, I went to Kwun Tong to look at building materials and stopped by this Taiwanese eatery for afternoon tea. The place was packed, with a few people already queuing at the door, while the neighboring restaurant had only a few customers.
Ordered a variety of food and drinks, each dish looked very appealing. The snacks were small in portion, so I ordered a few more to try.
Bubble Milk Tea
A large cup, ordered with less sugar and ice. The flavor was rich, and the pearls were chewy.
Taro Fresh Milk
The taro inside was smooth and delicate, perfectly paired with the milk.
Honey Glazed Seaweed Pork Ribs Rice
The pork ribs were fried to perfection and drizzled with sweet honey glaze, accompanied by seaweed, cabbage, pickles, and green onions. It was a perfect match with rice!
Cheese Ham and Egg Pancake
I always love egg pancakes, and this one had plenty of stretchy cheese. Loved it!
Not Takoyaki
The texture was firm and not crumbly, with chewy octopus pieces inside.
Fried Fresh Milk and Taro Sandwich
Called a 'two-word sandwich' because it's thinner than a regular sandwich. The taro filling between the biscuits was surprisingly delicious! The fried fresh milk was very crispy, with a sweet and milky flavor.
This Taiwanese eatery offers a wide variety of food at affordable prices. I found out that if you follow their IG, you get a 10% discount on afternoon tea, making it even more worth it. No wonder it's so crowded on Saturdays; there's definitely a reason for it.

We loved this experience in Amsterdam, it was not only relaxing but also very educational as the tour guide mentioned some historical stories/ information about places we were passing by or seeing. The weather was also beautiful so that added to the beauty of it all.
We got our tickets in advance as we didn’t want to be disappointed in case the ride was full and it was, glad we got tickets and everything went smoothly!
The views of the houses by the canals were just so so stunning! We couldn’t stop looking at it as every turn of the cruise opened up to another canal, beautiful bridges and gable houses🇳🇱👍

My first stop in Zaandam was the Cheese Farm de Catharina Hoeve, and it exceeded all my expectations. I had never encountered such a vast array of cheeses in one place! The farm offered a delightful experience, allowing visitors to taste an impressive selection of cheeses. From creamy Gouda to rich aged varieties, there was something for every palate. I indulged in sampling the different flavors, each bite more delicious than the last. The enthusiastic staff shared insights about the cheese-making process, adding to the charm of the visit. It was a fantastic introduction to the culinary delights of Dutch culture, and I left with a newfound appreciation for their artisanal cheeses.

It was so rich, meaty with the wine sauce coated the tender chunks of melting braised beef. Noodles were as a side which went really well with the sauce.

It was in April and the weather was extremely cold ! We were in need of a bowl of hot soup 🍲 and was searching on Google for a place to satisfy our craving. Com Restaurant came on top of the list and it was truly popular as there was a queue lining up when we reached there. Thankfully the turnover was fast and we got our seats very soon. We had a beef pho and a dried vermicelli. It was fantastic! The broth was flavorful and came with generous portion of beef slices ! The price was reasonable too !

It was our first time to Have a Zeed by Steak Lao and we decided on this place for dinner just purely because of the long queue. The turnover was fast as we got our table after about 15 minutes of waiting. Of course I had to order my favorite Som Tam and the Som Tam here didn’t disappoint! The Som Tam was perfectly balanced with tang, spice, and sweetness.
