Experience the Grandeur of Earth: Edge of the World Tour
Just an hour's drive from Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, in a 4WD vehicle lies the cliff commonly known as the 'Edge of the World.' From the top of the cliff, you can enjoy an endless horizon and a beautiful sunset. This is a must-do activity when visiting Riyadh. The breathtaking view created by the Earth will leave you in awe.
Typically, you need to join a local tour to visit this place. Since you need to drive on rough desert roads for about 30 minutes, visiting by rental car is not recommended. I booked a tour with Tour around Saudi through GetYourGuide, which cost around 7500 yen. The tour included dinner at a desert campsite and was very satisfying. There are also several companies offering private tours, so find one that suits you. If you're lucky, you might even encounter camels along the way.
As a precaution, the ride on the desert road can be quite bumpy, so if you are prone to motion sickness, it's a good idea to take some medication. Also, be sure to listen carefully to the guide's instructions regarding meeting times and other details.
At the Edge of the World, you can witness the landscapes you imagined of Saudi Arabia. Be sure to join a tour when you visit Riyadh!

A Unique Luxury Desert Safari Experience with Platinum Heritage in Dubai
If you are seeking an authentic desert safari that blends luxury with culture, Platinum Heritage offers the perfect experience! I recently spent a day exploring Dubai’s mesmerising desert landscapes with them and it was truly magical! #adventure #desert
🐪 Our journey started in the afternoon when we were picked up in a vintage Land Rover. The ride itself was a trip back in time, offering stunning views of the golden dunes and local wildlife like Arabian gazelles. What really stood out to me was their commitment to preserving the environment and Emirati culture. #localguides
Be aware that no dune bashing here, just a smooth ride to take in the scenery.
🌅 We watched the sunset from the top of a dune which made it even more special. Whether you are a photographer or just someone who appreciates natural beauty, this moment is not to be missed. #sunset #photography
⛺️ One of the highlights was the Bedouin-style camp, where we were treated to a traditional Emirati dinner under the stars. The food was delicious, with options for vegetarians, and the live cultural performances like falconry and traditional dance added a magical touch. I also got to try on traditional outfits and participate in camel rides and henna art (all included!) #deliciousfood #culturalheritage
The camp is eco-friendly, and the experience felt intimate and respectful of the desert’s beauty and culture. #sustainability I also appreciate the small group sizes, ensuring a more personalizad and private adventure.
Tips for travellers:
- Dress comfortably: it can get chilly in the evening, so bring a light jacket.
- Book in advance: their tours are very popular and spots fill up quickly!
- Stay hydrated: though they provide plenty of water, the desert heat can sneak up on you during the day.
-Taste the dates: they are a delightful local snack that pairs well with the traditional Arabic coffee (Gahwa) you will be offered.
- Wear neutral colours for wildlife viewing: this not only enhances the experience but also increases your chances of getting closer to wildlife without startling them!
Donut miss these incredible doughnuts ;) Indulge in this guilty pleasure
Thailand is famous for its cuisine but sometimes you see something you just have to eat. When I saw a picture of fried chicken doughnut I couldn’t resist, and it was amazing! The doughnut was so soft, the chicken so juicy and the spicy sauces added that nice little kick!
The restaurant is small but cute, with the took to take out. I filled up on my main and because I took so long to decide I got another two doughnuts to take home. A cinnamon swirl and a raspberry rose, the raspberry was probably the best doughnut I’ve ever had! I’ll be heading back for sure
🕰️Business Hours: 10AM - 9PM
📍Address: Emquartier mall, Bangkok
💰Average Price per Person: around $3 per doughnut around $8/10 for a Main.

The desert of Wadi Rum was a dream. We rented a car from Accra and head down to the Red Sea. We spent half of the day there and without losing time we went to Wadi Room to sleep there. We had time to see the sunset with a jeep that took us around the desert. At night we watch the stars with a bonfire. We woke up very early in the morning to see the sunrise with the camels. It was an unforgettable experience.

From Sunrise to Midnight in the Merzouga Desert
#desert As dawn broke over the Merzouga Desert, I watched in awe as the sun slowly rose above the golden dunes, casting long shadows and painting the sands in hues of orange and gold. The air was crisp, and the vastness of the desert stretched out before me like an endless sea of tranquility. I climbed a dune to witness the sunrise, the silence only broken by the soft whisper of the wind. The world felt still, almost timeless, as the first rays of light illuminated the undulating landscape.
As the day wore on, the desert transformed under the blazing sun. The heat shimmered off the dunes, creating an almost surreal mirage. I spent the afternoon exploring the vast expanse on camelback, the rhythmic sway of the ride adding to the meditative calm of the surroundings. By sunset, the sky was ablaze with fiery colors, a breathtaking contrast to the cool, deepening shadows of the dunes. Nightfall brought a chill and, with it, a sky filled with countless stars. In the deep, velvety darkness, the Milky Way arched overhead, its brilliance unhindered by city lights. Sitting by the campfire, surrounded by silence and starlight, I felt a profound sense of peace, as if the desert itself were whispering its ancient, timeless secrets.
Sahara desert Morocco

Exceeded expectations, due to teeth and due to official
The Sahara Desert covers an area of 9.35 million square kilometers, which is almost as large as China's land area. The Sahara Desert does not belong to Morocco, Egypt, Algeria or Tunisia. It does not belong to any country, but to the three regions. 70% of its area is not a desert, but a grassless Gobi. Mezuka, where we are going today, is the most beautiful area in the Sahara Desert. It is the highest sand dune in Africa and the most special sand dune. The desert here is the most beautiful desert in the world. It is red most of the time, but the color of the desert can vary depending on the weather and sunlight, showing different colors, which can be yellow, red, or even pink. The vast desert, the undulating sand dunes stretch to the sky, and the color of the desert at sunset changes instantly, from golden to orange, which is extremely beautiful!

Sahara desert Egypt world’s largest desert .
#desert
The Sahara Desert is the largest desert in the world. It is located in North Africa. It can be seen in Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, etc. This time we came to the Sahara Desert in Egypt. The first time I heard about the Sahara Desert was because of Sanmao. Many people think that the Sahara Desert is dirty, poor and deserted, but Sanmao lives a wonderful life here. The Sahara Desert under her pen is like a fairyland on earth, and even her wedding with her lifelong love Jose is held here.
We entered the Sahara Desert from Hurghada, Egypt, experienced camel riding, off-road vehicles, sand skiing and other places, visited the local ancient tribes, and also felt the sunset in the desert. We were very satisfied. People are really very small in front of nature.

ATV driving in Sinai Desert 🗺️
#desert
I had an exhilarating time ATV riding in the Sinai Desert! 🏜️ Located near Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, this adventure is a must for thrill-seekers. For around $60, I got a two-hour ride through the stunning desert landscapes, with safety gear and a guide included. The vast, sandy expanses and rocky terrain made for a thrilling ride as we sped across the dunes and navigated rugged trails. 🚀
The experience started with a brief safety briefing and practice session, which helped ease any nerves. Once we were out in the desert, the guide took us on an exciting route, offering plenty of opportunities to push the ATV to its limits. The highlight was reaching a high viewpoint, where the panoramic views of the desert were absolutely breathtaking. 🏜️
Nearby, you can explore the historic St. Catherine's Monastery or take a camel ride for a change of pace. Both offer a fantastic way to soak in the unique desert landscape. 🌄 The combination of adrenaline and stunning scenery made this one of the best adventures of my trip. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a memorable desert experience! 🚀 #trip #ATVRiding #SinaiDesert #SharmElSheikh #DesertAdventure #EgyptTravel
Sahara Desert Merzouga was incredible 🗺️
#desert
My camel-riding adventure in the Sahara Desert at Merzouga was a dream come true! 🌵🐪 Located in southeastern Morocco, Merzouga is known for its stunning Erg Chebbi dunes, some of which rise up to 150 meters high. The experience began with a short drive from the village to the edge of the desert, where I was introduced to my friendly camel guide and my camel for the day. The ride cost about $40 per person, which included the guide, the camel, and even a small meal.
Riding a camel isn't the most comfortable experience, but there's something magical about swaying through the desert on the back of one of these gentle creatures. As we made our way into the heart of the dunes, the landscape became more surreal, with endless golden sand stretching as far as the eye could see. The silence of the desert was only broken by the sound of the wind and the occasional grunt from the camels. 🐪 The highlight was watching the sunset from the top of a high dune – the sky turned a brilliant orange and pink, and the temperature dropped, making everything feel cooler and more relaxed.
After the ride, we set up camp in a traditional Berber tent. Dinner was a delicious tagine cooked over an open fire, followed by music and dancing under the stars. 🌌 I even had the chance to try sandboarding down the dunes, which was both thrilling and hilarious! The night sky in the Sahara is something else – the Milky Way was visible, and the stars seemed close enough to touch.
If you're ever in Morocco, a camel trek in Merzouga is a must-do. The combination of breathtaking scenery, warm hospitality, and the unique desert experience makes it unforgettable. 🌅 #trip #SaharaDesert #Merzouga #CamelRiding #DesertSunset #BerberCulture

Mojave Desert trip 🔆
#desert
My adventure in the Mojave Desert was absolutely unforgettable! 🌵🌞 Stretching across California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah, this vast desert is like stepping into another world. The rugged terrain, endless sand dunes, and scattered Joshua trees create a surreal landscape that’s both stark and stunning. I drove through the desert from Las Vegas, which was about a two-hour trip, making it a perfect day trip or even an overnight camping destination for nature lovers.
One of the highlights was visiting Joshua Tree National Park, where the entrance fee was $30 per vehicle. The park is famous for its iconic Joshua trees and striking rock formations. I spent hours hiking the Hidden Valley Trail, exploring Barker Dam, and just soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The desert really comes alive at sunset, with the sky turning shades of pink and orange, and the stars at night are incredible – I’ve never seen the Milky Way so clearly! 🌌
Another must-see is the Kelso Dunes, which are located in the Mojave National Preserve. Climbing these towering dunes was a workout, but the views from the top were worth every step. Nearby, the town of Barstow offers a glimpse into classic Route 66 Americana with its quirky roadside diners and vintage shops. For history buffs, the Mojave Desert is also home to ghost towns like Calico, which give a peek into the Old West.
The solitude and vastness of the Mojave Desert are humbling, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you’re planning a visit, bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a sense of adventure! 🏜️ #trip #MojaveDesert #JoshuaTree #DesertHiking #SunsetViews #Stargazing
