#traveldiaries Torre Tavira in Cádiz was such an interesting spot to visit! For an entrance fee of €7, we got to enjoy one of the best views in the city. The tower itself is fascinating, especially with its unique Camera Obscura, which projects live images of the city onto a screen—such a cool experience! The 360-degree view from the top is unbeatable, offering a stunning panorama of Cádiz’s whitewashed buildings and the sparkling Atlantic Ocean 🌊. #summerdestinations Visiting the Salamanca Cathedral was like stepping into a time machine! 🕰️ Located in the heart of Salamanca, Spain, this stunning cathedral is actually two-in-one: the Old Cathedral, which dates back to the 12th century, and the New Cathedral, built between the 16th and 18th centuries. The combined entrance fee was just €5, a steal for the beauty and history you get to experience. As soon as I walked in, the intricate architecture and awe-inspiring ceilings took my breath away. 🏰 The old part of the cathedral has a more Romanesque style, with charming, rustic details and an intimate feel. My favorite part was climbing up the towers – the views over the city of Salamanca were incredible, with terracotta roofs stretching out as far as the eye could see. 🌇 In the New Cathedral, the Gothic and Baroque styles blend together beautifully. I spent ages admiring the ornate carvings, especially the famous astronaut figure hidden on the façade – a quirky little detail that’s become quite the attraction! 🚀 After exploring inside, I wandered around the Plaza Mayor, just a short walk away, and enjoyed some tapas at one of the many outdoor cafes. It’s the perfect spot to soak in the lively atmosphere of Salamanca. The Peñón de Ifach is a must-visit destination in Calpe. It is a famous natural landmark rising 332 meters above the Mediterranean Sea. The entire hike takes around two hours. There are some slippery and rugged areas, so it is important to wear comfortable and suitable shoes. The panoramic views and landscapes are spectacular, making the effort worthwhile. Before going there, don’t forget to make a reservation on their website. Without a reservation, you won’t be able to hike, especially during peak season. Balmes hotel provided us a nice and pleasant experience. The hotel had a really good location, it was located in the heart of Barcelona. It was very close to the famous Passeig de Gracia and some iconic landmarks like Casa Batlló and Casa Milà. Regarding the staff, they were very kind and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel’s pool and gym were very small. Also, there were only a few sun lounger which all were occupied by other guests so we couldn’t enjoy the terrace at all. If you are a person who enjoys larger pool, it is a consideration to keep in mind. Our visit to Barcelona was short lived. We spent around 7 hours here, and needed many more! With so many iconic and inspiring buildings, this place certainly has a lot of history. Gaudis' work, alongside many others can be seen all around the city with some outstanding architecture. The tourist tour on the bus was our choice for the day. This offers 2 routes, covering various areas and landmarks across the city, with a jump on and off feauture allowing people to hop off at areas they want to explore and visit and then simply hop back on to move onto the next landmark. The city is very crowded, and there are a lot of pick pockets. So I advise to only take what is needed with you on your visit. Allow plenty of time and ensure you know where you need to return to, as there are many stations and entrances which can quickly become stressful. #barcelona #barcelonaspain #tourist #spaintravel

PortAdventure Theme Park, Salou Highlights - Shambhala Rating 5/5 We spent the day at the theme park, a group of 5 adults and our baby. We over all had a good day, there was so much to do that we could not visit everything. I would recommend coming here, though if possible I would say 2 or 3 days ia best to get the full experience. We missed out on all of the shows and most of the rides, purely because the park is so large you simply can not get around to everything in a day. The rides we went on where good, the best being the Shambhala. As someone who has visited many theme parks and been on many rides, I can say with certainty that the Shambhala is one of the best rides I have been on to date. Alongside the rides, there are many shops, shows and areas to relax, with picturesque waterfalls and features throughout. #portadventura #spaintravel #spain

Leave the car in the car park set up for it and walk for 15 minutes 🚶‍♀️ until you first reach Guadamía beach and finally the impressive cliffs where the Pría blowhole is 🌊 •Lakes of Covadonga Between both lakes there is a viewpoint, the Mirador de Entrelagos, where you can see the two lakes, one on each side of the mountain 🏔️ We saw the sunrise from there and look what beautiful colors 🌄 •Gulpiyuri Beach It’s the smallest beach in the world!
