breathtaking C H O N G Q I N G 💙😱
I have spent in Chongqing four days😱
And I must say 4 days is not enoooough💙
The city is totally different from usual Chinese cities, the roads are curved, the region is mountainous, the architecture is awesome, and hotpot is sooooo good ♥️😍
On the way to hotel the taxi driver has recommended us a trip company. We have joined a trip around the city and visited city’s main attractions with a bus and guide. Well, unfortunately guide was speaking only Chinese but we still enjoyed all the sightseeings😍

Megacity in the Mountains
Chongqing is a densely populated megacity in China that briefly served as a wartime capital in WWII. The city is built into the mountains, which means sometimes traveling around can be an adventure - this is where you may think you’re on the ground level on one street, take a turn, and be on the 24th floor relative to another street (gps can help but not really)! Be prepared to climb lots and lots of stairs as they seem to be everywhere. Make sure to soak in the nightscape - visitors come here from all over to see the city with all its bridges and futuristic buildings (e.g. Raffles Place) lit up at night. And of course, Chongqing hotpot and all the spicy dishes are a must try. The city received lots of investment from Hong Kong and Singapore, so parts of Chongqing may remind people of HK or SG. This is one city that never sleeps and can keep you entertained and amused for your entire stay.

Magical Zhongshuge Bookstore, Chongqing
Location - 3rd & 4th Floor of Zodi Plaza, Yangjiaping District, Chongqing, China.
Forget about the books, the moment when you entered the shop, be prepared to be amazed with the stunning interior design, architecturally speaking. Using mirror as ceiling created a fantastical reflecting surfaces that makes the entire space within the shop seemingly endless and massive.😄
* the bookstore prohibits the visitors from using digital camera to take photos inside(most probably to avoid disturbing the others with the shutter clicks), so please be considerate😊

Chongqing- Fengdu ghost city
You can get to Fengdu by taking the train from CQ (About 30mins or so).
I strongly recommend you to hire a private guide.
You will learn very interesting things about the history of the “ghost” city and all its different temples and gods.
You also learn that when you visit Fengdu, you have 3 tests that will determine wether you are good or bad:
1st test: The bridge.
2nd test: The gate of hell.
3rd test: “Fly” to the tower.
At the end of your visit, you will meet the God of the underworld who is the ultimate judge.
Quite interesting but you definitely need a guide. There are some explanations written in English but not much.
I actually was very inspired by a calligraphic art located next to a temple. (see picture)
I’ve been thinking about getting my first tattoo for a while and decided to go with it.
It uses 4 different Chinese characters (唯 善 呈 和).
The meaning is: “Goodness" is the source of "harmony", and "harmony" is the state of "kindness".
In other words, only kindness will make the world beautiful. ❤️
Enjoy!

Chongqing- Jinfo mountain
How to get there - Jinfo is located outside of Chongqing’s city center. I hired a driver from the city and it was very convenient.
I went there in august and it was great! Once you get there, you ride a bus (about 20mins) to the cable car. The view from the cable car is incredible!
The mountain itself is also a lot of fun. It does get pretty cold up there so bring a jacket.
Enjoy!

Chongqing- Luo Zhongli Galley
Located about a 15 mins ish walk from Daxuecheng exit 2.
Daxuecheng (University town) is far from the downtown area so I’d make a day trip out of it.
It is located in Sunny Block which has a lot of restaurants and shops. My favorite restaurant is Masala (Indian food). The food is delicious (IMO, the best Indian restaurant in Chongqing)😊
If you’re visiting CQ for only few days I honestly wouldn’t go out of my way to visit but it’s still a very nice area!

City in a Mountain
Chongqing, or the city in a mountain as it’s famously known, is a sight for sore eyes 😍
It’s filled with gorgeous views everywhere you look - from the bright lights of Hongyadong to the instantly recognizable Qiansimen bridge 🌉, there are no shortage of attractions in this city
But be warned, there’s a reason for its nickname⛰
Chongqing is very mountainous and you will often find yourself walking up countless stairs when trying to get from one destination to another (and if you’re like me you’ll wind up at countless dead ends after your trek then have to reroute 🤦🏾♀️)
Put on your walking shoes, make sure you pack water, and grab your camera to see all that Chongqing has to offer!

Hongya Cave of Chongqing
One of the Must-Go scenic spot in Chongqing for local snacks and well, photo-taking of course (National AAAA scenic spot and Cultural Center). Located at Cangbai Road nearby the Monument of Liberation in Chongqing,Hongya Cave has a history of 2300 years. Crowded, that goes without saying but a place worth for a visit.
One reminder, do not use any location sharing to your friends when you guys are in the area. You will never find your friends for sure (different level although you will be seeing that both of you are near to each other😂).

Great middle eastern food in Chongqing
Located inside the Guanghuan shopping mall in Chongqing is a fantastic middle eastern restaurant. The Chinese name is: 土耳卡巴·土耳其烤肉餐厅(重庆光环店). I couldn't find an English name.
Address - 湖彩路光环购物公园L4
Ambiance/Facilities - The restaurant is very popular, and you might have to wait for a table, but it will be worth it. It's like you're in Turkey, with beautiful pots and plates, especially the teapot.
Highlights - There are lots of familiar middle eastern dishes on the menu, mostly Turkish such as kebabs, hummus and Baklava. I would recommend ordering the mixed grill, as you'll get a little bit of everything. The lamacun, a kind of Turkish pizza, is excellent as well.
Avg. Price per Person - 150 rmb
Rating - 4.5 stars

Chongqing Hongyadong Commercial Street ⛩
Hongyadong Commercial street is a historical site built as a symbol of Diaojiaolou, a dewelling popular among the river in chongqing ⛩
In the heart of downtown Chongqing with breathtaking view when the lights are lite up ⭐️
It is recommended to visit at night so you can take amazing pictures at the roadside.. Starting from the top you will encounter interesting international restaurants but the delight is on the lower floors where you will find craftsmen stores, local food, shops and ofcourse the love key/lock bridge which has its own essence of beauty alongside a magnificent waterfall and smoke making the scene mesmerizing ⭐️
Its a must visit place if your traveling to Chongqing for the first time❤️

Chongqing Layers
Chongqing, one of China’s most populous cities, is a city built on levels. Every corner seems to be on a new level as you climb and fall without realising - only to turn around and realise you’re stood above the road you were on earlier - without ever taking a flight of stairs.
Probably because of that, one of the best views in the city comes from up high. Whether from the bridge overlooking the cable car or the tops of some of the skyscrapers - getting up is the way to go in Chongqing.
Head out towards Liziba station for a more chilled vibes as smaller houses hug the cliff wall as it snakes around to the Guanyue Temple.

Chongqing Science and Technology museum
Getting There - The closest subway station is Grand Theater. From there, 2-3mins walk.
Attractions - The museum has 4 floors. There were many different exhibitions such as ocean world, national defense, natural catastrophe, and much more.
Most exhibitions had both Chinese and English!
There’s also a 4D movie theatre. I watched a 15mins cartoon movie for 20¥. It’s quite fun!
On top of that, you can also enjoy some simulators. It wasn’t too busy when I went so I waited between 10-15mins.
I especially liked the natural disaster one.
Food & Restaurants - There’s a restaurant on the first floor. The price is also very fair. I had pork dumplings, rice, eggs and tomatoes for 24¥.
Shopping - There is a souvenir shop on the 2nd floor next to the 4D cinema.
I was there for over 4 hours (including a quick lunch break) so I’d recommend you give yourself at least 3 hours so you don’t feel rush.
Also, it was free!!

CHONGQING CITY
Won’t ever regret choosing Chongqing as holiday’s get away destination! 🧳 We spent only 3 days there but came back home with bunch of unforgettable memories and perfect photos 📸 We visited several good sightseeings, ate delicious food 🍱
HOT POT 🍲 It’s taste was so different from those I’ve tried in other cities in China 🇨🇳 It was spicy but bearable, a lot of flavors in one bite! Also, what is important, price was good 👍
SUBWAY 🚊 was higher than I expected and so cool 😎 Even taking a ride on subway was an adventure. Best type of transportation of Chongqing!
The only thing that I still regret is that our turn for the cable car was late at night so all the city lights were out 🚠 We couldn’t see anything 😅 Anyway, this city is a good place to travel and worth to give it a try!
The weather there changes so fast. One day was sunny and hot, the other was rainy, foggy and cool. Be ready!

Chongqing is crazy
I got in love of Chongqing! What a great and crazy city! There are not that many laowais like in Shanghai or in Beijing.
The architecture of the buildings is crazy and you will need a 3D map to not lose yourself. To walk at night is other experience! At 8 pm o’clock turn all lights on and the show begins.
If you stay in the centre, you are not going to need a taxi. The food is delicious and the people are very gentle. I will love to come back again for sure! #chongqingtravel #chinatravel
LIFE TIME EXPERIENCE (Glass Bridge)
I always had acrophobia but today everything is gone. I went to Cloud Nine, a glass bridge located in fengdu county, Chongqing. While going to this place i had the best site seeing experience in my life. My friend is scared to death and most chinese people were scared because the view is too much exciting, you can enjoy the swing of a life time , it cost only 30 RMB and will make you feel like you are swinging in paradise, in the middle of 2 mountain and a stream. As i had my University's student card, the ticket price is 50 RMB (7 USD) or else its 98 RMB (14 USD). The taxi fare is usually 50 to 70 RMB (7 to 10 USD)(45 mins drive from downtown), usually the taxi driver asks for 20 rmb extra (3 USD) because they have to come back empty. I hope everyone get this experience atleast once in lifetime
