Wrap your scarf around and zip up your jacket. It’s autumn in Northern China. The streets are filled with vendors selling sweet apples and hot potatoes. Along the streets the trees are changing colour.
We find ourselves at Beihai Park. This local attraction is home to many ancient temples and pavilions used centuries ago by royal members. Step into the gate at sunrise. Transport back in time to when nature could sing lullabies.
Sometime later, we are under the warm sun at the Palace museum. Ladies in traditional fashion are seen walking along the river side. Their beauty and aromatic perfumes drift on the autumn breeze.
As the sun sets the shadows are seen dances on the walls. Trees in the garden play like shadow puppeteers. A myriad of leaves cover the red walls.
Beijing plays a song of mysteries. The ancient architecture has a language of its own. Careful contemplation could reveal it, but are you still enough to notice these nuances ?

A Solo Encounter with Chengdu's Adorable Pandas

My solo adventure to the Chengdu Panda Research Base was an absolute dream come true. As I stepped into the sanctuary, I was immediately captivated by the sight of these gentle giants.
The base is meticulously designed to provide a comfortable and stimulating environment for the pandas. I spent hours observing them as they lounged, played, and munched on bamboo shoots. It was truly a heartwarming experience to witness their playful antics and adorable expressions up close.
One of the highlights of my visit was the panda nursery. The tiny panda cubs were incredibly cute, and it was fascinating to learn about the dedicated efforts of the researchers to ensure their survival and well-being.
Beyond the pandas, the base also offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and serene bamboo forests. I took a leisurely stroll through the park, enjoying the tranquility of the natural surroundings.
My solo trip to the Chengdu Panda Research Base was a truly unforgettable experience. It was a reminder of the importance of conservation efforts and the beauty of nature.

As a solo traveler, I've always been drawn to the tranquility of nature. My recent stay at the Ermei Ling Xi Hotel in Xichuan provided the perfect escape. Nestled amidst the misty mountains of Emei Shan, this serene retreat offered a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The hotel itself was a harmonious blend of traditional Chinese architecture and modern amenities. My room offered stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and the comfortable bed and plush pillows ensured a restful night's sleep.
One of the highlights of my stay was the opportunity to explore the nearby temples and hiking trails. The air was crisp and clean, and the sounds of nature were incredibly soothing. I spent hours wandering through ancient forests, admiring the breathtaking scenery, and soaking up the peaceful atmosphere.
In the evenings, I would relax in the hotel's cozy lounge, sipping on a cup of tea and reading a good book. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home.

The Gingko biloba tree (银杏) grows beautiful fan shaped leaves. Their shapes are unique to Asia since they are a prehistoric species. In Autumn, these leaves famously turned into gold. The leaves will stay on the trees a few weeks which make for beauty fall foliage scenes.
Where can we find these yellow leaves?
The city centre around The Palace Museum is dotted with lanes and lines of these Gingko trees. If you want a comfortable place to go for photos and leisure take my suggestion and head to Beihai Park.

Anyone interested in Ancient Chinese history will adore this place.

Our trip to Turkey was truly unforgettable! ❤️
We started our day with a traditional Turkish breakfast, filled with fresh 🥖 🧀 🫒 🫖 . Walking through the bustling streets of Taksim, we felt the vibrant energy of the city. The highlight was visiting the stunning Hagia Sophia, a breathtaking mix of history and architecture. In the evening, we enjoyed a relaxing dinner 🚢 along the Bosphorus, admiring the city lights. We also explored Fatih and visited beautiful temples. To top it all off, we tried the Ottoman sauna experience, which was the perfect way to unwind 🧖🏻♀️🧖🏻♂️
