[Tokyo] A rare shrine with large lion statues
Shusse Inari Shrine
𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃
The details of its founding are unknown, but it is said that the shrine was named after the lord of Kawagoe who prayed for success when he was on a trip to Edo.
The shrine has a main gate and a back gate, and there are guardian lion dogs at each gate.
If you enter through the back gate, there are some pretty big guardian lion dogs on both sides, which is quite impressive.
It seems that cats live in the grounds, and I saw about two.

[Nagano Prefecture] Let's go see the towering Zelkova trees!
Yufuku Shrine ⛩️
𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃
"Yufuku" is pronounced "yubuku"!
It is said that "God of breath"
changed from "ifuki" to "ifuku" to "yubuku".
It is revered as the guardian deity of the Zenkoji area, and there is a Zenkobyo shrine as the grave of Honda Zenko, the founder of Zenkoji.
The most noteworthy thing is the large Zelkova tree that stands in front of the shrine.
The tree to the right of the shrine is 900 years old, and the one to the left is 700 years old.
The other is the Onbashira.
The deity is the same as the Suwa Taisha Shrine, and its rough spirit is enshrined here.
It seems that there is a Onbashira festival like the Suwa Taisha Shrine.

[Ibaraki Prefecture] A power spot surrounded by pine forests
Yoriki Shrine ⛩️
𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃
Facing the large first torii gate of Oarai Isosaki Shrine, this shrine is located right next to the slope on the left.
It is located within the grounds of Oarai Isosaki Shrine.
The stone torii gate of Yoriki Shrine stands.
Going through it, there is a nice pine forest, and if you turn to the right, you can see the shrine building.
The enshrined deity is
Takeminakata no Mikoto.
A fisherman named Heidayuu found a tree that had washed up on the Oarai coast early in the morning. When he put his axe into it, it glowed, and the god who possessed the person said, "Enshrine the sacred tree of Suwa Myojin thickly." As a result, there were continued good catches, and Heitayu's business became successful and prosperous. Based on this theory, it is said to bring good luck in bringing good harvests and prosperous business.
It's hardly crowded, so if you stop by Oarai Isosaki Shrine, it's worth stopping by here!

[Ibaraki Prefecture] A luxurious early morning visit to the shrine after watching the sunrise
Oarai Isosaki Shrine ⛩️
𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃
I stayed overnight at a hotel right in front of the shrine.
I started my day at the Kamiiso torii gate before the sun rose!
The sun rose slowly, gradually brightening the surroundings, and I was moved by the sight of the sky turning a deep red 🥺
After watching it, I went to the shrine.
It's only a few minutes' walk from the Kamiiso torii gate to the shrine.
Cross the traffic light and go up the long stone steps, and it's right in front of you.
I worshiped early in the morning in the grounds where no one was around.
It's a luxurious time✨

[Miyagi Prefecture] A huge boulder and a god that won't fall
To Tsuriishi Shrine in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture
𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃
A shrine with a huge sacred stone in the precincts⛩
It looks like it is being pulled up by a rope,
so it looks like it might fall at any moment.
That's why it has a reputation as the "god of exams that seem like they might fall but won't"✨
The huge stone that sits there as if you are looking up is a male god with a circumference of 14m.
There is another huge stone below, a female god, about 8x4m.
If you take a photo so that both are in the picture, it looks really good📸
Beyond that are long stone steps, and if you climb these, you will find the shrine building!
The view from the top is also amazing 🤩

[Yanokura Inari Shrine/Tokyo] A shrine that protects the rice storehouses of Nihonbashi
Yanokuro Inari Shrine in Chuo Ward, Tokyo
𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃
During the Edo period, the area was called Taninokura or Yanokura because a rice storehouse of the shogunate was built nearby.
It is said that Sansha Inari Shrine, which enshrined three shrines, was enshrined as the guardian deity of the storehouse.
In 1698, the storehouse was relocated.
Although Sansha Inari was also relocated, local residents were sad to see it go, so Shinzaemon Inari and Fukutomi Inari were enshrined at Hatsunemori Shrine, and Taninokura Inari was renamed Yanokuro Inari and enshrined in the same place.
The shrine is enshrined around the back of Yagenbori Fudoin Temple.
On the left is Yagenbori Fudoin Temple's believers' hall.
The site is small, but has stone walls, a vermilion-painted torii gate, and lush trees.
Entering, there is a pair of stone statues of foxes in a small shrine.
Upon closer inspection, the door to the shrine was open.
There is a sign in the temple grounds saying that you can get a goshuin at Yagenbori Fudoin, so I went there later to receive one.

[Kanatana Inari Shrine/Tokyo] Located in front of the Nippon Express headquarters
Kintsuna Inari Shrine in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo
𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃
This shrine is said to have been founded by Kyoya Yabei, a courier wholesaler and ancestor of Nippon Express Co., Ltd., who invited Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine.
After that, the god appeared in a dream. He apologized and said, "I am giving you a golden rope because of your devout faith. Do not doubt it for a moment," and it is said that he began to worship the shrine as "Kintsuna Inari Okami" with a golden rope.
Then, as time passed, the management of the shrine was transferred from Kyoya to the former company of land transport, Naikoku Tsuun, Kokusai Tsuun, and Nippon Express.
It is currently enshrined in front of the headquarters of Nippon Express Co., Ltd.
A shrine that sits on the side of a magnificent building.
The vermilion torii gate suddenly appears amidst the greenery, and is actually quite eye-catching.
There is a park next door, which is used as a playground for kindergarten children, and is quite lively.

[Kumagawa Shrine/Tokyo] The oldest shrine in Fussa City where you can meet the Seven Lucky Gods
Kumakawa Shrine in Fussa City, Tokyo
𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃
It began when a local nobleman enshrined Benzaiten in the early Heian period. It is the oldest shrine in the city with a long history. It started with enshrining Benzaiten, the god of good fortune, and then Daikokuten and others were added, and now it is known for the large statues of the Seven Lucky Gods.
Ebisu, Daikoku, and Jurojin are on the side of the approach to the shrine, Hotei is on the side of the main building, and Fukurokuju and Bishamonten are on the side of the museum!
The worship hall of Kumakawa Shrine is heavy and quite large. The main hall is designated as a tangible cultural property by the city and is surrounded by wire mesh.
The sacred oak tree is also magnificent.
The votive plaques are vertically long, unlike usual, and feature the Seven Lucky Gods.
Anyway, there was a lot to see, so I ended up staying quite a long time!

Sandaio Shrine in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture
𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃
This shrine is said to have been enshrined by Takeishi Tanemori as the guardian deity of safety in the village in 1202.
Takeishi Tanemori was the third son of Chiba Tsunetane.
It sits on top of a cliff, and there are some steep stone steps that look as if they were carved out.
The grounds are spacious and open.
The shrine grounds are dotted with Mitsumine Shrine, Yasaka Shrine, Kotohira Shrine, Furumine Shrine, and Inari Shrine.
The stone steps are dim, but the view was good because it's on a cliff.
It was a wonderful shrine with a variety of trees, including ginkgo trees.

Hiratsuka Hachiman Shrine, the only shrine in Sagami Province
Divine virtues
First shrine visit, safe childbirth, protection from misfortune, safety of the home, prosperity in business, road safety, improvement in the arts, etc.
Enshrined deities
Emperor Ojin
Empress Jingu
Takeuchi no Sukune
History
Hiratsuka Hachiman Shrine was founded in 380, the 68th year of the reign of Emperor Nintoku, when a huge earthquake struck the area. Emperor Nintoku (the 16th emperor) was unable to bear the suffering of the people and built a shrine here.
Since then, as the only Hachiman Shrine in the entire Sagami Province, it has been revered by successive emperors and samurai, including Minamoto no Yoritomo. In particular, the inscription "Chinchi no Okami" on the red seal is a calligraphy piece bestowed by Empress Suiko (the 33rd emperor). Thus, the shrine attracted many revered people, but during the Sengoku period, it was burned down in war, and the main building, treasures, and biographies of the shrine were all reduced to ashes.
In the midst of all this, Tokugawa Ieyasu restored the dilapidated main building of Hiratsuka Hachimangu when he entered Edo.
In the Edo period, Hiratsuka Hachimangu became a key transportation hub where the Tokaido road ran east to west, the road to Suga, which was a shipping port, and the road to Atsugi and Oyama intersected, and the area in front of the shrine flourished, and Daimon-dori, the town in front of the shrine, is said to be the birthplace of commerce in Hiratsuka.
After the Meiji period, the city of Hiratsuka continued to develop further with the opening of the Naval Explosives Arsenal to the north of the shrine. The main building collapsed in the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, and the current building was completed in 1928. After the war, the shrine came to be deeply revered by the people of Hiratsuka and those with connections to the city as the town grew peaceful and prosperous, and was celebrated with the Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival and other events. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Hiratsuka's municipal incorporation, it became a sister city with Takayama City in Gifu Prefecture, which dates back to the first year of the Kanji era (1087), when a branch of Hiratsuka Hachimangu Shrine's deity was enshrined in Takayama.
The divine virtue of the great god of Hiratsuka Hachimangu Shrine, which has such a history, is said to protect us from major disasters that we cannot solve on our own, heal our wounded bodies and minds, and give us the strength to move forward, as represented by Chinji-no-Okami.
