The Must Visit and Must Do in Venice
Perfect Day trip to Venice. * tips* if you are using the one day pass to take the boat taxi remember to validate your ticket when you go onboard * And be sure to lookout for pickpockets as they are rampant around the area! Ok aside from that Venice is such a special and beautiful place- be sure to check the tide level too before coming in case it is flooding~
So here’s the summarized areas to visit for easy reference:
Piazza San Macro- Basillica San Macro which is just beside the Piazza- Moving on to St Patrick Square which is the main area is so beautiful! Be sure to take tonnes of pictures here as well as the Doge Palace featuring the clock tower-Bell Tower they are all nearby on the map so this is the easiest route to conquer all of it.
Next the must visit is also the Library (Libreria Acqua Alta) which is a 10mins walk from the Palace .
Not forgetting the food there is fabulous with very fresh seafood that is not expensive!
You can also opt for a Gondola ride
Start your day early so that you can complete all of this in one day and head back to the city. I left the place by 1730 to catch the train back to Florence :)

Burano perfect day trip from Venice
If you’re heading to Venice and have enough time, I recommend you plan a day trip to Burano. However, Burano is quite touristy too so I highly recommend you to go there in the morning so you have enough time to head back to Venice! I was there in the morning and have the whole Burano to myself.
It was so peaceful and beautiful 🤩 with the rainbow colors painted houses-could be the most colorful island in the entire world!
As you may know, public transport in Venice mainly consists of water buses – the so-called vaporettos.
The only water bus that goes to Burano – and Murano as well – is route 12 which departs from Fondamente Nove (Ft. Nove).
This stop is in the northern part of Venice and a 20-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square.
Do take note of the ferry timing so as not to miss and plan well so that you have sufficient time to return back to venice. I had also took the day pass so I could use the water taxis foe the entire day! #italy #2024wish #2024wish #venice #venicedaytrip
Burano is
Burano is a bright and colorful island not far from Venice, perfect for a day trip. It’s part of the city of Venice, this tiny island is a small-town atmosphere and plenty of charm.
Burano is one of the most colorful places I’ve ever been, with picturesque rainbow-hued houses lining every street and canal on the island.
I visited this place while travelling to Venice and had fantastic time with my family

A Perfect
A Perfect Day in Murano
Visiting Murano island
The history of Murano Glass
The island of Murano is world famous for its millennial glass making industry: a magnificent art, truly wonderful to see and own at home.
The origins of Murano glass seem to be very ancient: some archaeological excavations date the first findings to the seventh century BC.
However, the true art of glassmaking, as we know it now, developed much later.
I visited this place when I stayed in Venice and I have a wonderful experience here. You can visit glass museum here which was absolutely stunning. Also, you can learn how glass is prepared and various glass objects are made as they give you a small demonstration at this place.#veniceitaly #murano #glassmuseum #venicedaytrip
