After a scenic self-drive from Kuala Lumpur, we arrived in this small town nestled in nature. The Kampar River awaited us, and after a safety briefing, we were off, navigating the rapids with adrenaline pumping as the cool water splashed all around. The lush greenery and towering trees lining the river made the experience unforgettable, with nature at its finest. 🏨 After a thrilling day on the river, we checked into Sebayu Retreat Gopeng for our first night. The tranquil setting was perfect for unwinding, surrounded by nothing but the sounds of the rainforest. The next day, we explored more of Gopeng before heading to Adeline Villa, a hidden gem tucked deep into the jungle, for our second night. The cozy wooden chalets were a true escape into nature. 📷 The natural rainforest surrounding Gopeng was a photographer’s dream. Every turn offered stunning views, whether it was the lush greenery along the riverbanks during rafting or the misty, towering trees near our accommodations. The best spot? Catching the early morning sunlight filtering through the forest at Adeline Villa. 🍜 One of the highlights at Adeline Villa was the food. The homestyle meals, prepared with local ingredients, were a feast for the senses. Don’t miss their signature dishes—tender chicken rendang, fragrant curry, and stir-fried greens, all packed with authentic flavors. 💡 Remember to pack insect repellent! The beauty of the rainforest comes with plenty of bugs, especially in the evening.

The must try food and also their signature is the seafood put in a bamboo and is tomyam flavour. The staff serves the food to our table with the dry ice on the bottom which is a very special dish. Besides that, they do sell the noodles, you can choose your own type of noodles and the soup base such as tomyam, clear soup etc .. Lastly, must end your meal with some dessert, we have tried their steamed rice cake wrap with yam pasta inside. Boat operators are very friendly. There's an explanation in both Malay and English to each site you are cruising next to. Loved the views. You can have river cruise, river walk, cafes and just next to the center of Melaka. The cruise took close to an hour.. Ibis Styles on Macpherson is one of the three star hotel in Singapore. Stayed at this hotel during our weekend gateway. Booked a twin room . Room was very spacious , stylist and clean. Amenities provided was adequate . There is a swimming pool , fitness centre and a restaurant at level 4. Pool was quite spacious too. While breakfast was also provided for our hotel stay. Never expect that the breakfast provided had large portion. What I like about this hotel stay was the beautiful looking swimming pool, comfortable bed with cushions and the generous portion of our breakfast. Overall we enjoyed our entire stay here. Service was good and front desk staff was attentive. Price per night was very affordable . One of the best budget friendly hotel to stay at. Love the surrounding. Easy to find & to get to anywhere else, convenient as located pretty mid of food & transport. The vibeeee, staffs were friendly & everything was so nice! They do not have bidet, so -1 for that. We’re got quite a mid floor so the view wasn’t perfect but not bad. Looks good at night too!
