#summerdestinations I recently spent an amazing summer vacation in Verona, and it was everything I hoped for and more! This romantic city, famously known as the setting of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet," offers a perfect blend of history and charm. I started with a visit to the Verona Arena, an ancient Roman amphitheater. The entrance fee was €10, and the views of the well-preserved arena were incredible. Next, I explored Juliet’s House, where the €6 ticket lets you see the famous balcony and leave a note on the wall. The surrounding area is picturesque, with lovely shops and cafes. Wandering through Piazza delle Erbe, I enjoyed the vibrant market and grabbed a delicious gelato. Don’t miss the stunning Castelvecchio and its bridge, with an entrance fee of €6—it’s a fantastic spot for photos and learning about Verona's history.
