Lamma Island felt like a different place entirely! It was the perfect contrast to the chaos of Hong Kong 🏙️ 🏝️ 🗓️Itinerary Scheduling: We were staying in Aberdeen so took the ferry from there to the fishing village of Sok Kwu Wan. It took about 40 mins and cost around HKD 12. Try to time it to have lunch at one of the many seafood 🦞 restaurants by the pier! After eating, we took the well-signposted 5km Lamma Island Family Walk trail to Yung Shue Wan. It took about an hour with plenty of stopping, and the path took us past the Kamikaze Cave as well as some small island villages. At times, the views were outstanding! We were tempted to stop for a while on the beach as we passed it, but continued on to Yung Shue Wan. Once there, we stopped for iced tea for a rest, explored the small town and got a passenger ferry back to Aberdeen from there (about HKD 24)⛴️ 💞Reasons to Recommend: The island is tranquil and laid back, it seems far removed from the city! The weather was beautiful when we stayed in the southern part of Hong Kong island, so we decided to spend the day exploring the nearby beaches! 1. Address - Repulse Bay Beach Highlights- Go for the views and the incredible calm water that was perfect for swimming 👙 I could have spent all day in the sea! Rating - 10/10 2. Address - Stanley Village and Main Beach (hop on any of the buses from the main road by Repulse Bay for 15 mins) Highlights- Explore the eclectic market, mainly selling souvenirs, and the colourful village. Head for lunch at one of the many establishments along the coast. After exploring the market, head to Stanley Main Beach. Rating - 8/10 3. Address - St Stephen’s Beach (just a 15 min walk from Stanley) Highlights - much quieter than Stanley Main Beach with relaxing atmosphere, we practically had a private beach! Later, we hiked to a higher vantage point, where we were rewarded with a stunning aerial view of the entire park, showcasing its intricate network of waterfalls and lakes. Being immersed in such pristine nature was a truly unforgettable experience, leaving us in awe of the world’s natural beauty.

Due to global warming , Glaciers are melting and flowing down along the mountains and forming as canyons by naturally and forcefully coming down to town and sea water is increasing day by day . I manage to visit one of the Glacier canyon near Grindelwald after my hiking trip to Eager. So interesting and felt heard pain as well . If you visit Grindelwald, and you still have some energy like me , can just take local bus 201 to place , it about 6 mins from cable car station and walk along the canyon about 1km . So beautiful and Soo cool experience. And try out their glacier mash that let you feel and touch the canyon wall ( PS: if you are scare of high and shaking mash - don’t try 🤪but so much fun) . Another beautiful hike in Swiss Alps !! Grindelwald!! One of the place that not to miss when you are in Switzerland!! Adventure paradise, hiker paradise and biker paradise. There have so many things to do and enjoy !! I took a train from Interlaken to Grindelwald, and I used my Swiss travel pass for all kind transportations around Switzerland , but some mountains excursions cable cars are not included and they gave 50% discount. Then buy cable car ticket at the station ( if you have Swiss travel pass , half price that will be 34 CHF ) and if you want to do other adventures, you can buy additional package at vending machine. For me , I just went up to Grindelwald first to see mount Eager up close and hike surrounding until i come back . The scenery was jaw dropping and you will never want to leave the place .
