Mainz centre
Enjoyed the architecture in the centre of Mainz. This town is just an hour away from Frankfurt. Worth visiting !
I took many photos of the old town and of its beautiful buildings, including its cathedral and churches.
Will definitely return. It is a quiet town with reasonable parking. You can visit the centre in a few hours, enjoy the market and the excellent restaurants#mainz
Shopping, entertainment and culture in one place
Mainz has a special quality of life - and the people of Mainz have a special way of life. Sociability, openness and cordiality: all these characterize the unique feeling of #mainz,
Especially in the city center you can experience it again every day. Individual and cute shops. The gastronomic offer - from the trendy restaurant to the wine bar. Cultural highlights, festivals and events. Hotels for weekenders and international guests.
The city has a lot to offer - but it's the people who bring it to life. People who want to walk and shop in a relaxed manner. Those looking for a place to have a coffee or a glass of wine at the weekly market. And who can discover various cultural attractions along the way.
Shopping, fun and culture: Mainz city center combines everything in one place. The city is alive - with you and all of us

Enjoy the fountains in Old Town Mainz
If you like old towns, then you may add Mainz to your itinerary. Mainz is located at the beach of Rhune river just where Rhine divides to Rhine and Main river (leading to Frankfurt).
The town has a population of 200 000 people and it’s considered an important center of German wine.
The old town is small but looks nice with a lot of beautiful fountains and statues.
You could visit Mainz during the same day with the nearby Wiesbaden. Both are small towns and visiting them could be possible during one. I recommend to leave Wiesbaden to the evening.
You can access Mainz by train S8 and S9 from Frankfurt.

Green parks of Mainz 🗺️
#summerdestinations
I recently spent a summer day exploring the green parks of Mainz, Germany, and it was a refreshing experience! The highlight was the beautiful Rheingoldpark, which is free to enter. Its expansive lawns, scenic river views, and shaded paths made for a perfect afternoon picnic spot.
I also visited Stadtpark, another lovely green space. The entrance is free, and the well-maintained gardens and peaceful ponds provided a serene escape from the city. The nearby Mainz Cathedral, with a €5 entrance fee, added a touch of history to my day.
The mix of lush parks and historic sites made Mainz a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommend for a relaxing day out! 🌳🏞️ #trip #Mainz #GreenSpaces #GermanParks #NatureEscape #HistoricCharm
