Vietnam is such an ideal place for a weekend getaway, the coffee, the ocean, the vibes making it a popular travel destination! Visited Linh Ung Pagoda while travelling to Danang! It is located at the Son Tra peninsula, about 15 minutes car ride from My Khe Beach. The temple is beautifully built, the details of the temple is meticulously planned, and the entire temple is simply gorgeous! The temple is well known for its 67 metre Lady Buddha statue, which is also the tallest one in Vietnam! Love the landscape of the temple which was really organised and the garden was really beautifully taken care of! The pagoda is surrounded by majestic mountains and greeneries, was really serene and peaceful being here!
Jeju Island- A Favourite Destination for A Weekend’s Escape
#weekendgetaways
📍Dodu Rainbow Coastal Walk, Jeju island, South Korea
Passed by this scenic and beautiful rainbow coastal walk while driving along the coastal road in Jeju and decided to stop for photos and to stroll around the area. The walkway was nicely built with colourful blocks of rainbow colours! We parked our car at the parking spot at the roadside, which was really convenient as there was plenty of parking spots! The stretch of the walkway is a long one! Every spot on the road is instagrammable and photogenic featuring the colourful stone blocks and black rocks sandy beach! We spent around 30minutes to one hour here just taking in the view and enjoying the sea breeze, taking a whole loads of photos! Definitely visit this place for a few pics if time is sufficient!
Interesting Asian Heritage Row ☕️
#weekendgetaways
Formerly known as Asian Heritage Row, The Row is a double-storey terrace consists of 22 pre-war shot lots that have been here since the year of 1940s!
After its refurbishment 9 years ago, it has turned into a lively place where a lot of F&B cafes and restaurants opened here such as:
1. The Backroom Coffee
2. Heritage Pizza
3. Common Grind
4. Kwong Cheung Loong Kopitiam Bar
5. Mojo Restaurant & Bar
6. Yarl
7. Limapulo: Baba Can Cook
8. Base Camp KL
9. Restaurant Dominic
10. Cheevit Cheeva (opened this year)
If you would like to visit here, recommend not to drive as the parking lot is quite limited especially in the weekend!! Alternatively, take the Monorail to Medan Tuanku station, and walk for about 5 minutes, you will be able to see it just right behind of Sheraton KL.
Aunthentic korean cuisine in the heart of Kuala Lumpur
I went for the first time to try korean dishes at Soopong Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. The bulgogi with rice taste amazing and i would rate it 9/10. However the jajangmyeon noodles taste average and i rated it a solid 6/10. The customer service is great as the staffs are friendly and the food doesnt took so long to arrive after ordering. Overall it was a nice experience for me.

Fresh Air on the Weekend 💐
#weekendgetaways
Zizhuyuan Park, also known as Purple Bamboo Park, is a peaceful place to spend the weekend in Beijing. The park has beautiful lakes, small bridges, and green bamboo forests. You can take a relaxing walk, enjoy a boat ride, or just sit by the water and admire the view. It’s perfect for escaping the busy city life. Families often bring food for a picnic, while others take photos of the scenery. In the morning, we might see people practicing tai chi or jogging. The air is fresh, and the atmosphere is calm. A day at Zizhuyuan Park is simple but refreshing, a great way to relax and recharge.
Opens daily from 6 AM, and there is no entrance fee to access the park area ✨️
Na Pathum Cafe
#weekendgetaways
the wheels on the train go round and round. The paddy fields are in their full awesome green this period at the waterlogged flats of Pathum Thani. Located on the far edges of Bangkok is Na Pathum Café. Translated, it means a café at the front of Pathum Thani. This café is a recent addition the lovely northern countryside and had intensified in popularity thanks to the mini train ride. It was a Tuesday late afternoon we were here, straight after school. Apparently, birds of same feather do flock together, literally. Many other parents also brought their kids still dressed in their uniforms. And soon the café was a big chatter of children’s excitement as the golden sundown hours approached.overall awesome
Luxury fusion dining at top of KL Tower!
I had an amazing dining in experience in Aras restaurant at KL Tower. The food is amazing and it feels so exclusive. The restaurant offers a 360 degree view of stunning skyline including the Kuala Lumpur City Centre(KLCC) the second tallest tower in Kuala Lumpur.

Pop mart shop is finally in Kuala Lumpur 😍
#weekendgetaways
Pop Mart flagship store is finally now available in One Utama Shopping Mall which is only 20 minutes away from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur.
Comparing to those located in Shanghai or China, the shop is not as big as theirs but the products/blind boxes are still attractive and they even offers popbean for the customers (miniatures to fill in a bottle).
Highly recommend to visit during night time or weekday as you are required to queue for quite some times if you visit during weekend!!
Got the FREE Yogurt 🍦🍨
#weekendgetaways
This is my 1st ever time trying Yomaro Yogurt as the One Utama Shopping Center is offering a small cup redemption with the spending of minimum RM 150 in the mall as a 1U member by using their apps.
Personally I love the Yogurt so much and it tastes really similar to llao llao Yogurt !!! There are also having a lot of toppings and sauces including nutella, mashmellows, walnuts, chocolate chips and so on!!
In term of the price, it is quite reasonable starting from RM 12.90 (small cup), RM 16.90 (medium cup) and RM 19.90 (large cup). For me, a small cup portion is enough for a couple after having a main meal!!!
Highly recommended!!

📍Aewol Café Street, Jeju Island, South Korea
Jeju island is always one of the favourite spot for a chill and relaxing weekend getaways! Visited this quaint and beautiful café street that is nestled in Aewol region of Jeju island and it has so much to offer! This place is perfect for those who loves café hopping as the entire street is a line up of cafes and restaurants facing the sea! The trail along the coast was nicely built and great to have a stroll especially during the evening! There are also other stores selling souvenirs and snacks! Aewol Café Street is a unique yet harmonious blend of nature and modern elements. We travelled to Aewol by our rental car, which was easily accessible. However, there is limited parking spots, might have to spend some time looking for parking spots.
CHERRY BLOSSOMS AT ONCHEON STREAM PARK, BUSAN
#koreatrip
It was a nice spring afternoon when we arrived at Oncheon Stream Park, Busan, the air filled with the sweet scent of white cherry blossoms.
Above us, white flowers cascade like snowfall and it felt so romantic and dreamy.
We found a quite spot to sit under one particularly beautiful tree and people watched.
Families gather, children laughing and the gentle stream adds to the tranquility.
Oncheon Stream had become more than just a stroll, it was a beautiful spring memory etched in our hearts.

MINANGKABAU HERITAGE, A VISIT TO BUKITTINGGI, PADANG, SUMATERA
#familytravel
Our family trip to Bukittinggi, Padang, Indonesia, was a wonderful journey into history and culture.
We visited Pagaruyung Palace, a beautiful replica of a traditional Minangkabau royal residence with great architecture of pointed roofs and stunning intricate carvings on the walls.
It was a truly awesome experience but the one thing lacking at the palace is that, the palace seems quite dark.
Traditional attires with intricate head accessories are available for rent and to make our visit even more special, we dressed in the attire and took photos in the grandeur setting.
Pic 2 : my mom with her grandchildren
We also stopped by the iconic Jam Gadang, a Dutch designed clock tower, a major landmark in Bukittinggi.
Locals gathered round the square to chill and unwind.
With not much else to do, we had a little horse ride exploring around the lively town.

Stunning Pandang Island
Pandang Island, known locally as Pulau Pandang, is a small yet captivating island located in the Strait of Malacca, off the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. It lies approximately 47 kilometers from Tanjung Balai and about 10 kilometers south of Salahnama Island1. The island is relatively small, measuring around 500 meters in length and 250 meters in width.
One of the island’s most striking features is its pristine natural beauty. The island is surrounded by clear, turquoise waters and is almost entirely encircled by a vibrant coral reef. This makes it an excellent spot for snorkeling and diving, where visitors can explore the rich marine life, including colorful coral formations and a variety of tropical fish.
Pandang Island’s beaches are another highlight. The eastern side of the island, facing Malaysia, boasts soft white sands and impressive granite rocks. The northern and southern shores are characterized by unique rock formations and larger waves, providing a different yet equally stunning coastal experience. The western side, facing Sumatra, features a curved, bay-like beach with calm waters, ideal for swimming and relaxing.
In addition to its natural attractions, Pandang Island has a few unique features. One notable aspect is a freshwater well, which provides drinking water and is a rare find on such a small island. The island also has a local legend about a “split rock” that is believed to have mystical properties.
Pandang Island is a hidden gem in North Sumatra, offering a serene escape for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Its unspoiled environment, combined with the rich underwater ecosystem and picturesque landscapes, makes it a perfect destination for those looking to experience the natural beauty of Indonesia away from the more crowded tourist spots. #weekendgetaways
The Kaldera Toba
Kaldera Toba, located in North Sumatra, Indonesia, is one of the world’s most remarkable geological formations. Formed by a series of massive volcanic eruptions, the most significant of which occurred around 74,000 years ago, it created a caldera that is now filled by Lake Toba, the largest volcanic lake in the world. This caldera spans approximately 100 kilometers in length and 30 kilometers in width, making it a significant natural wonder.
The Toba eruption was one of the most powerful volcanic events in Earth’s history, releasing an estimated 2,800 cubic kilometers of volcanic material. This event had a profound impact on global climate and ecosystems, with some theories suggesting it caused a volcanic winter that drastically reduced human populations.
Today, the Toba Caldera is not only a geological marvel but also a vibrant cultural and ecological hub. The region is home to the Batak people, who have a rich cultural heritage and traditions that are deeply intertwined with the landscape. Visitors to the area can explore traditional Batak villages, witness unique cultural performances, and enjoy local crafts and cuisine.
The natural beauty of the Toba Caldera is breathtaking, with lush green hills, crystal-clear waters, and stunning vistas. The area is part of the UNESCO Global Geopark network, which aims to promote sustainable tourism and conservation. Activities such as hiking, boating, and exploring the numerous waterfalls and hot springs around the lake are popular among tourists.
In recent years, the Indonesian government has prioritized the development of the Toba Caldera as a major tourist destination, enhancing infrastructure and promoting eco-friendly tourism initiatives. This effort aims to balance the preservation of its natural and cultural heritage with the economic benefits of increased tourism. Kaldera Toba remains a testament to the Earth’s dynamic processes and a symbol of resilience and beauty. #weekendgetaways
