Trip Moments Recommendations
TCL Chinese Theatre
Los Angeles is a bustling city with so much to do. One of the iconic places to visit would be the TCL Chinese theatre. This building is located on 6925 Hollywood Boulevard and it is iconic as many stars have appeared on the famous walk of fame, just right outside the Chinese theatre. One can see names of the many stars/actors/actresses that walked down this walk of fame and many would be busy snapping pictures with those names.
Today, you can still purchase movie tickets for movies screening inside the TCL Chinese theatre and there are also ongoing vip tours for this famous threatre. Madame Tussauds wax museum is also a stone throw away from the Chinese threatre and you can visit both places within a day.

Road Trip from Lax to Grand Canyon
Going to the Grand Canyon has always been our bucket list and it may sound crazy to some but my husband and I drove from Los Angeles to the grand Canyon. My husband loves driving so this was an easy feat for him. The total journey from Los Angeles to the Grand Canyon took us about 8 hours and we travelled close to 490 miles to get there.
Driving there was pretty easy as long as there are no kids to slow you down. We took some breaks along the way and had some pit stops. Otherwise, we took I40 expressway and we reached there safely.
The Grand Canyon in Arizona was amazing and breathtaking. You can see the layered red rocks and the scenery surrounding it was just beautiful. There are no barriers stopping you from going near to the edge of the grand Canyon so take pictures with caution. The whole trip is worthwhile and embedded in my head for life.

Paramount Picture Studio Tour
#MeetLosAngeles
Paramount Picture Studio is the last major studio to keep its headquarters located in Hollywood and the only one there to open its doors to the public. Inside the famous wrought iron gate, you will be treated to a guided tram tour (you can stick to a walking tour for a few dollars less) through soundstages.
You will not find anywhere else: A seasonal after-dark tour that takes a macabre walk through moviemaking history and the neighboring Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Tips: Try to park Car away from the on-site carpark as the car park are very expensive it cost $20 USD during my short trip
Great Theme Park
#meetlosangeles
Universal Studios Hollywood stands atop the Hollywood hills and is divided into an Upper Lot and a Lower Lot, connected by a giant, four-part "Starway" escalator.
What’s amazing about Universal Studios Hollywood is that the entire park is not so crowded (except on Fridays, weekends and holidays), lines are small but fast. I loved the newly established Jurassic World water ride especially the Mosasaurus water tank scene.
Everything was amazingly well done even the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The butterbeer, pumpkin juice, sorting hat, the amazing rides was incredibly mind-blowing, and the special little touches throughout the park. You can buy a wand that lets you interact with various parts of the Harry Potter world. For example, say a spell from Harry Potter, wave your wand in a specific pattern and a door will magically open!
I would highly recommend putting some sunscreen and sunglasses because it’s always sunny in Southern California. But before you go to the park, buy your tickets online at Universal Studios Hollywood Tickets - Theme Park Tickets because it is USD20 cheaper than buying from the front gate.

If you’re visiting Los Angeles on holiday, chances are you’re trying to see all the neighborhoods in one go and Venice is just a small (yet amazing) part of this expansive city.
I know first-hand that there’s so much to experience in this quirky beach town, but luckily the best parts can all be explored in a day, granted you’re equipped with some caffeine and good walking shoes.
I will definitely recommended this place for everyone
Luxury Drive
#meetlosangeles
The three blocks of Rodeo Drive just north of Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles make up one of the most famous streets in the world. The street is known for its collection of ultra high-end designer and boutique
This area are so cool and nice and I think everyone should visit Rodeo Drive at least once, beyond the luxury stores, there’s more to see on and around this swanky street.
Great food under one Roof
#meetlosangeles
The Los Angeles Farmers Market started to operate in 1934 with farmers selling their goods from their trucks to the community. In a matter of months, business started to boom. Eateries and restaurants were established in the surrounding area and it became a popular place to have lunch or dinner (especially for Hollywood stars).
Nowadays, it is a historic landmark in Los Angeles and a popular tourist attraction. It gets very crowded on weekends (they even run out of parking space). In fact, it gets so crowded that you can’t even walk properly down the aisles.
But, do not get discouraged. There is a lot of good food to try in this place. The key is to visit during the week or early on the weekends.
Museum on top of mountain
#meetlosangeles
The Getty Center Los Angeles is located in the Santa Monica Mountains. While the parking lot is on street level, Once you park your car you have to take a (free) futuristic-looking tram to get there.
At the end of the Getty Museum tram ride is the Getty Center. It’s not just one building, but a collection of several pavilions in the same style of which some are linked to each other so that you can walk from one building to the other without stepping outside.
All of these buildings are positioned around a central square from where you can reach the garden. The garden isn’t that big, but it’s very well kept and offers amazing views over Los Angeles.
What I really liked about the Getty was the variety in its exhibitions and I highly recommended this to everyone .
Best Viewing Spot in LA
#meetlosangeles
Griffith Observatory is a planetarium & astronomy museum, and is a great free thing to do in Los Angeles, California. It’s also great for hikes with excellent panoramic views of the Hollywood Sign, Downtown L.A., and Pacific Ocean on clear days.
Griffith Observatory was built to make astronomy accessible to the public, and compete with some of the best mountaintop observatories already existing along the West Coast. Inside the exhibit area of Griffith Observatory today, you can see comparisons to some of these observatories today.
If you have never been to Griffith Observatory, it is a must-visit place . It is amazing day or night.

The happiest place on earth
address: Disneyland park - 1313 Disneyland Dr Anaheim, CA 92802
the #1 place on my childhood travel wishlist:
The happiest place on earth - Disneyland Los Angeles
everywhere is a photo taking opportunity! there are 2 theme parks in LA Disneyland, Disneyland park and Disneyland adventure park. I went to the Disneyland park because I’m a old school fairytale lover. I need to see the castle in person! but the famous themepark Farris wheel is also the main attraction in Disney adventure park. you can get the park hopper pass if you’ve enough time. each park needs at least 1 day or more if you really want to cover every hook and cranny of Disney. there are so many parks. the newest one is Star Wars but my fav is Disney town where Mickey and Minnie are at every turn. I love the Mickey Mouse silhouette so much. for every Mickey fan, you need to visit Disneyland park.
I have been to Disney in HK, Paris and Japan’s Disney Sea but I feel the first Disneyland built by Walt is definitely the most special of all.

Great hotel right in downtown
#meetlosangeles
Located in the heart of West Hollywood just steps from the Sunset Strip, one of the hippest stretches of L.A.
They have undoubtedly some of the best rooms in L.A. (the hotel calls them suites); they're comfortable, quiet, very spacious without feeling empty
The best highlight if the hotel is the Rooftop pool with panoramic views and plenty of umbrellas and lounge chairs on the deck
Four poolside cabanas each have couches, chairs and a flat-screen TV, and can be purchased for six hours (no shorter time period).
Water and fruit are always stocked by the pool (and they're free).
One warning: The hotel's narrow entrance on North San Vicente Boulevard is easy to miss the first time -- it's marked only by a wrought-iron gate.
Beautiful offshore island near Los Angeles
🏝️ Santa Catalina is a charming island around 22 miles off the coast of Los Angeles.
It's known for its wildlife, dive sites and Mt. Orizaba, its highest peak. The resort town of Two Harbors lies to the north. To the south, in the city of Avalon, palm trees and cabanas line Descanso Beach.
Getting to Catalina Island is fast and easy. It takes only one hour via a high-speed ferry to get you to paradise. You can take the ferry from Long Beach or Newport Beach.
I love the calming and relaxing vibe here. Sometimes if feels like you are on some Mediterranean island.
Planning a day trip is possible but I will recommend an overnight stay to experience more.

⛱️ Another beautiful beach in LA
The beach is sheltered at the bottom of cliffs. Its wave 🌊 is great. Not too strong
⛱️ The beach is clean and not so crowded. I felt very relaxed and calm here. The beach spans for miles and is surrounded by many local coffee ☕️ shops, restaurants, and art 🎨 galleries. We explored the area and played in the ocean. Serene atmosphere. You can also walk along the cliff admiring its beautiful ocean view. You can BBQ on the beach too. Great for sunsets 🌅 and picnic.
🌞There are many events during summer. You can bar hop too as there are many great bars and restaurants adjacent to the beach side.

Here, art lovers can see significant collections over many centuries, with a massive compilation of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art, like sculptures of Auguste Rodin and Edgar Degas, paintings of Picasso and Van Gogh.
The Norton Simon Museum′s Sculpture Garden is a delight for visitors of all ages as well. Its lush pond—decorated by several varieties of water lilies, was inspired by Monet's masterpiece of Lily paintings.

Must Visit for Music Fans
#meetlosangeles
No trip to Downtown LA is complete without a visit to the Grammy museum! Here you will learn about the history of LA’s music industry through interactive exhibits.
You can buy tickets in advance online, or at the door. Unless there’s a special event going on, you won’t have to worry about the place being too crowded. For me I bought it right at the door as it kind of last min plan to go it cost me USD18 .
There are hundreds (thousands?) of artifacts on display. The Michael Jackson display is a major part of the museum. (As shown in my Pic )
Well if you are a music lover I’m sure you will enjoy it . For me I just curious so decide to see since I’m there 😅

Route 66 legendary, The Donut Man
#meetlosangeles
Always line up, and be prepared that you may be spending hours waiting and the doughnuts you want are all out. That's The Donuts Man.
It locates on the historic Route 66, Glendora, a free-standing structure, not look fancy, but doughnut lovers come from nationwide non-stop. It is open 24/7, specializing in donuts with seasonal fruit fillings, like their famous strawberry doughnuts filled with fresh, big strawberries in an open-packet donut. Once you have the donut, stopping the strawberries from falling is a challenge hard to avoid getting messy. Even though the sugar glaze may stick to your face, that's still worth it.
Good News is they can deliver to your door now, and also you can find their Los Angeles location in the Grand Central Market.
address: 915 E Rte 66, Glendora, CA 91740 & Los Angeles Grand Central Market
Beach town In LA

The Santa Monica Pier has been one of Los Angeles’s most popular attractions many years.
Much of Santa Monica’s lasting popularity with the rides and carnival food, it’s great for families.
The main highlight is the the amusement park at the pier, currently called Pacific Park with the iconic Ferris Wheel(as show In my picture) Unlike many other amusement parks, there’s no admission charge to enter Pacific Park. Instead, you purchase tickets for individual ride.
To get to Santa Monica Pier the options either by Bus or car . But still even it a bit out of the way from the downtown it is worth to go to take some pictures for the memory

All great foods under one roof

Los Angeles' Grand Central Market is located in Downtown LA. It is the oldest consecutively running market in full operation for over 100 years. The market is housed in what was originally a department store. Grand Central Market has over 30 vendors and it is a mix of new and legacy vendors.
Yes, there are a lot of options in terms of cuisines at the Grand Central Market. Even if you dying of hunger, I suggest walking the entire market before settling for a dish.
If queues are anything to go by, the most popular stand at Grand Central Market is definitely Eggslut( yes it the same shop at Scotts Square Singapore)
The beautiful compound and museum in LA
Address: 1200 Getty Center Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90049, United States
J. Paul Getty museum features the 20th-century European paintings, drawings, illuminated manuscripts.
To me, the whole compound with the Getty Villa and its garden is just giving out a peaceful and calm vibe.
From the lower carpark, you can Take a fun tram ride up the hill to the Arrival Plaza. From there, you can see the sweeping staircase to the Arrival Hall. You can walk to to the beautiful Central Garden at the Getty Museum. This garden was designed by Californian artist Robert Irwin. You also must visit The Cactus Garden where the terrace has panoramic views of Los Angeles towards the ocean.

Beautiful Urban Light 💡
Address: 5905 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036, United States
You probably would recognize this very Instagrammable place - Urban Light public installation by Chris Burden. It was installed in 2008 and has been featured in several TV shows and movies since, including American Horror Story: Hotel and No Strings Attached (2011), as well as numerous advertising campaigns and photoshoots.
It is absolutely beautiful!
You can arrive slightly earlier before it turns dark so that you can capture the light transitional colour. It's definitely worth visiting if you are around the area.

🎡 An iconic place in Los Angeles
🏖️ It's very crowded and full of activities during summer. Don't be fool by the hot weather as the water temperature is pretty cold.
🇺🇸There are many country flags along the beach for some photo opportunities. Of course, not to forget the colour ferris wheel which is Santa Monica's icons in most LA's tourism materials.
A visit to Santa Monica can just be a walk along the Broadwalk and go to Santa Monica Pier. There are some rides or games in the arcade. There are also many food stores, seafood restaurants or some Mexican stalls selling fruit.
If you have time, stay till sunset where you can see the sun descending with the skyline and the vast ocean. What a beautiful view not to be missed!

Beautiful Italian-inspired canal in LA
Parking address-100 N Venice Boulevard, Venice, CA 90291
Venice Canals is a man-made canal built in 1905, with sidewalks & bridges for pedestrians.
The remaining canals in Venice (Sherman, Howland, Linnie, and Carroll) are a small subset of a much larger canal system that was created originally. Most of the old canals were filled in and paved over to create streets for driving and parking.
If you are around the area, do drop by to visit this urban canals. It's very pretty in the afternoon with sunset. You can easily stroll around the neighborhood.
After visiting Venice Canals, you can cross the road to reach Venice beach

My favourite Disney resort
🎡 This is my favourite Disney resort. The staff are so friendly.
🪪 Tip for first timer-get to the customer service (on the left side of the turnstiles entrance) and get the First timer badge.
🎢 Download the Disney App in advance as you can use the app to book the attractions. It’s very useful features if you are not purchasing Fast pass.
It is good to have some strategy or game plan on hand so that you can maximize your time here.
Some of the attractions have longer line than the others. So go for those first if you enter the park the moment the door opens.
🍱 Food: it can get crowded near lunch hour. So either you have earlier lunch or late lunch so that you can avoid the crowd and get a table easily.

The largest Vietnamese community in US
If you are craving for some Vietnamese or Asian food, drop by Westminster in Orange County, particularly Asian Garden Mall.
Asian Garden Mall in Westminster is located in Orange county, which is the oldest, largest, and most prominent Little Saigon in California, where over 189,000 Vietnamese Americans reside. It is located around 45 miles south of Los Angeles downtown and is pretty spread out.
Centred by Bolsa Avenue, Little Saigon has spread out to other areas like Garden Grove, Stanton, Fountain Valley, Anaheim, and Santa Ana.
This is where you will find the most Vietnamese restaurants, businesses, hair salons, etc

The famous Walk of Fame
🍿 🎥 This is the famous long walk of fame where there are many famous celebrities’ name engraved in the star ⭐️ on this street. If you are into Hollywood movies, you can spot some familiar names here. As of now, there are more than 2000 stars ⭐️ on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
It can get very crowded with tourists, so come early. It takes around 1 to 2 hours to get all the touristy things done. You can also walk to TLC Chinese Theatre where it is a historic landmark along Hollywood Walk of Fame. It is where people can spot famous movie stars during the opening or launch of movies.
Generally, I would recommend to visit if you are around the area.
