🇫🇷Versailles- A must visit in Paris🇫🇷
#getgoing2025
The Gardens of Versailles in winter transforms the landscape into a serene, cold wonderland. The bare branches of trees create stark silhouettes against the pale sky, while a delicate layer of snow blankets the ground, softening the sharp edges of the manicured hedges and pathways.
The gardens, usually vibrant with color, now exude a tranquil beauty, where the muted tones of winter evoke a sense of calm.
As we stroll along the winding paths, the quietness is punctuated only by the crunch of snow underfoot. The serene atmosphere invites reflection, allowing you to appreciate the grandeur of the gardens in a new light.
In this winter stillness, the Gardens of Versailles become a magical retreat, where nature and history intertwine beautifully, offering a moment of peaceful solitude.
My favorite part was walking in the middle if the tall bare trees and seeing the statue of The Fountain of Apollo.

🍽️ Nasi Lemak Heaven
#malaysiatrip
Village Park has been my all-time favourite place for Nasi Lemak (Fragrant rice cooked with coconut milk, supplement with perfectly fried peanuts and anchovies). There is always long queue BUT you will get to your turn in about 15-20mins.
This is the ONLY one outlet here in Uptown, Petaling Jaya, they do not have any other branches. They are double-storey restaurant and fully air-conditioned.
Also, I noticed there are many tourists here, especially China, Korean and Japanese. Probably their local food bloggers have been promoting this restaurant in their own country respectively.
Psst psst! Here is a pro-tips 😎 please request for a plate of Fried crispy spices (remaining of batter from fried chicken). Don’t be shy!! No extra charge!

Winter Adventure at Badaling Great Wall 🇨🇳❄️
#newyearnewtrip
A trip to the Great Wall is always magical, and Badaling in winter was an unforgettable experience. We booked a return trip tour package online, making the journey smooth and convenient. Our adventure began as we boarded the tour bus, excited to see one of the world’s most iconic landmarks.
🚌 The Journey: The bus ride was well-organised and hassle-free, allowing us to enjoy scenic views as we approached the Great Wall. The anticipation grew as the majestic wall came into sight, winding over the snowy hills.
🌬️ Braving the Elements: The wind at Badaling was incredibly strong and icy—it felt like the coldest winter embrace! Despite the chill, we were mesmerised by the stunning panorama. The crisp winter air and the snow-dusted stones made the landscape feel like a scene out of a historical painting.
🏞️ The View from the Top: While we couldn’t complete the full climb due to the harsh weather, the partial ascent was still rewarding. The breathtaking views from the watchtower gave us a glimpse of the Wall’s grandeur and the sweeping beauty of the surrounding mountains.
🥶 Though the wind was relentless, it didn’t dampen our spirits. We’re already planning to return when the weather is warmer to fully immerse ourselves in the experience.

Jiuzhaigou: Nature’s Masterpiece
Jiuzhaigou is beautiful year around, the winter season transforms the area into a snowy paradise. The winter season has its own beauty with less crowd. You may experience Jiuzhaigou’s beauty in a more tranquil and relaxed environment. However, the walkways are quite slippery and need to be extra cautious. The park is well managed with shuttle buses, toilet and paved walkways. The valley is indeed Y-shaped, divided into three main sections: Rize Valley (Right upper), Zechawa valley (Left upper) and Suzheng Valley (main branch). Tourists can rent Tibetan costumes and the services are more likely to found in Suzheng valley and Rize valley. You may rent the costumes from the shop outside the park too. (May get better price and return the costume after the park closed)

G E M Hotel, a great location on Nanjing Road, Shanghai

G E M Hotel
#shanghai #china
In this post, we would like to review the accommodation in Shanghai that we stayed at.
In this Shanghai trip, we stayed at G E M Hotel, which is located on Nanjing Road, a shopping street that everyone who comes to Shanghai must visit. The hotel lobby is on the 7th floor of the ZARA building. It is not difficult to get there. 🚆You can take the green MRT line 2 from Pudong Airport to East Nanjing Road St. No need to change lines. Then use exit 1, turn left, and walk for about 300 meters. The building will be on the right.
We stayed in the Gemei Superior Double Bed Room (Private Washing Machine).
Our room was on the 11th floor. There was a window to enjoy the view.
The room amenities were complete, including a safe, refrigerator, TV, washing machine, clothes rack, and hair dryer, but there was no bidet.
In Shanghai, the electricity used is 220V 50Hz. We have attached a picture of the power plugs for you.
There is a housekeeper who cleans the room every day.
For us, it is very good. Very easy to travel, near Miniso Land too, stop by every day 😄 Nearby is Family Mart and another convenience store (can't remember the name 😅) We stop by to eat every night. As for the DIDI line, it's easy to call. It's near the road where cars drive. The only disadvantage for us is that the room is not soundproof. Other than that, we have no problems at all.
This is purely our personal opinion. It might be useful for those who are looking for accommodation in Shanghai.

If there’s one place in Guangzhou that embodies charm, culture, and cuisine, it’s Yong Qing Fang. Tucked away in a maze of picturesque alleys, this cultural hotspot is where history meets modern vibrance—a place you’ll want to visit again and again.

Yuan Laosi, who is popular all over the China, and finally came to Beijing! Starting from Chengdu, more than 400 stores have been opened so far, which is really popular! The first store in Beijing is in Zhongguancun, which completely restores the style of Chongqing's old hot pot, with antique decoration, and the atmosphere is directly full!
The space design, which costs tens of millions of yuan, is mainly ancient, and the ancient lanterns that can be seen everywhere are full of antique fragrance. In the soul hot pot in Chengdu people's minds, Yuan Laosi's hot pot occupies a certain position!
The iconic tiger head red pot adds Sichuan Hanyuan pepper, Chongqing stone pillar red pepper, old black bean paste and other base ingredients, and carefully stir-fried for 4 hours. The red soup feels hot through the screen! But it will not be greasy at all, and the taste is fragrant, and the greedy population is full of water!

🇨🇳 Jiangxi Unveiled: A Journey Through Hidden Gems and Timeless Beauty
My journey through Jiangxi was a fascinating mix of history, culture, and scenic beauty.
One of the highlights was visiting Guanxi Xinyuan, an ancient walled village where I wandered through narrow lanes lined with traditional architecture, immersing myself in the peaceful atmosphere. The village’s rich history, preserved in its old structures, offered a glimpse into Jiangxi’s past.
Another memorable stop was Gufu Bridge, a historic bridge that dates back centuries. The view of the river flowing beneath the bridge, combined with its ancient stonework, created a sense of timelessness.
The local food was also a standout, with spicy Jiangxi hotpot and fresh river delicacies adding a flavorful touch to the trip. 2D2N Jiuzhaigou itinerary
Sharing my itinerary so maybe it can help you! One thing i have to highlight is that be prepared for altitude sickness. Elevation goes to around 3500m and I could already feel it on the train heading to jiuzhaigou and the bus route has lots of turns and during the rest stop i had to 🤢 🤢 so if you have any meds make sure to take it BEFORE!!
Journey:
Chongqing (shapingba station) to chengdu east station (1h)
Chengdu east station to huanglongjiuzhai station (1h50m)
Huanglongjiuzhai station to jiuzhaigou scenic area by bus (2h)
P.S you can buy bus tickets directly from trip and when you reach you can find the bus driver on the right hand side, just tell him your last 4 digits phone number. (Don’t need a local number just your singapore one is fine) The bus will stop at multiple places within the scenic area, so you can tell your driver where your hotel is and ask which stop.
Arrival (Night)
If you are like me and the altitude hits hard, take it easy. Have lots of rest, eat soupy stuff and eat chocolate! Even a snickers bar or something with sugar and chocolate helps. For us we arrived at our hotel around like 8pm so my boyfriend went out to takeaway dinner at a nearby restaurant while i just rested.
Day 1
Most hotels in the area offer free transport to the lake so make use of that, because i wasnt feeling so well we left at around 11 but would definitely recommend leaving at 9:30-10 to make the most out of your day.
The shape of the park is a Y so after you go through the park bus will take you to the fork which is near nourilang waterfall. There you can decide which route you want to take. For us, we stayed on the bus and took us all the way to the top of the right side. Because the valley and the forest were closed, the furthest they take you is Arrow Bamboo Lake.
From Arrow bamboo lake you can walk all the way down to pearl shoal waterfall and then taking the bus to mirror lake and then back to the nuorilang bus terminal. If you aren’t the hiking type, theres a bus stop at every area so not to worry!
All in all we took about 3 hours doing that entire right section.
After the right side, you can do the left side by taking a bus which will take you to long lake. This is the highest point at 3200m so be careful with altitude sickness. I didn’t feel as sick but i was so dizzy and my head hurt. The journey is about 30mins.
We didn’t stay for long because by this time it was nearly 4pm and the workers were telling us theres not much time left before the park closes. So we just stayed in the viewpoint area, took a few pics and went back on the bus. The next stop is the 5 colored lake, we got dropped off at the top of the lake and walked down to the bus stop where we were taken back to the bus terminal.
Im not sure if its cuz its winter but those were the only 2 places we could visit on the left side.
After this, the bus took us straight to the exit and that was the end of our visit to jiuzhaigou, we reached back to the entrance at 5:30pm
That night we walked over to the tourist part of the town and had Mcdonalds for dinner 🤪🤪 took a didi back to our hotel and ended the night.
Day 2
Our train from huanglongjiuzhai was at 1pm so we left the hotel at around 10am. We met a didi driver the night before who said he would take us straight to the station for 200 yuan and we took it. But i also asked the hotel what option there was and theres a bus you can book thru wechat but trip also has tickets you can get.
Things i would have done better
- visited nourilang before going up to the left side. We thought we could stop by before going to the exit but because its towards closing they drove us straight to the exit
- dressed up in the tibetan clothes, usually wouldn’t recommend but i saw many girls getting dressed up and i regret not actually doing it
- would probably recommend 2 days to visit jiuzhaigou because it felt kind of rushed theres the whole section of the park heading towards the exit that you can explore but i made do with just looking out the window of the bus 😂😂
Anyways thats all for now! Got lots to share about my 2 week adventure in china visiting 4 different cities 😂😂#china #travel #naturalwonders #jiuzhaigou
