Kwai Chai Hong, A Trip Back in Time
#magicalxmastrip
Located at the back of Petaling Street, still in the Chinatown area, this newly revitalized place is a small alley filled with murals and shops. Inside the alley are six murals painted by local artists depicting the daily activities of early Chinese settlers in the area during the 1960s.
Entrance to Kwai Chai Hong might be a little bit tricky. Do you think you can find the hidden entrance of this place?

🇲🇾 Monograph Cafe and Dining in Kuala Lumpur
#favouritecafe
We had a birthday dinner at Monograph Cafe and Dining which is located at the Chinatown of Kuala Lumpur. It is pretty hidden but upon stepping in, I felt like I have entered into a cozy, mystical space. The ambiance was perfect for dates and not forget to mention, the food was pretty outstanding with the fusion of Mediterranean and Japanese dishes. Reservations in advance are highly recommended.

Kuala Lumpur is well known as a melting pot of Southeast Asia where many different races and cultures make the city of Kuala Lumpur a vibrant place to visit.
Once a British colony, you see art deco buildings mixed with modern structures making this an interesting city to explore on foot.
Due to a multiracial society, choices of food are incredible while different places of worship leave you in awe as they are generally littered throughout the city. —David Hogan Jr.

🇲🇾Wok Star in Hotel Indigo Kuala Lumpur
#malaysiatrip
It was such a pleasure that we were offered a free breakfast buffet at Wok Star during our stay at Hotel Indigo Kuala Lumpur. The buffet spread was delicious and I especially enjoyed the Nanyang kueh that I had not seen it else where. There was also a noodle station where guests get to choose their soup base and pick their favourite ingredients to get it cooked on the spot.

🇲🇾Oriental Kopi for yummy Nanyang cuisine
#malaysiatrip
We visited Oriental Kopi twice during our three days trip to Kuala Lumpur and it shows how much we love the food here! Oriental Kopi prides itself on for great Nanyang cuisine as well as the crusty egg tarts. True enough, the eggs tarts were exceptional with the flaky skin combined with the creamy egg fillings. Coffee was great too - strong, intense and nice balance of milk and coffee.

🇲🇾 A berry fantastic voyage to Kuala Lumpur
Come with me on a berry fantastic voyage to Kuala Lumpur on Firefly Airlines at Subang Airport. Recently, Scoot Airlines also start flying to Suban Airport so you can have more options now. This is a better option compared to using KLIA because it is much nearer to KL especially Damansara area. Even though the train from Subang Airport has stop operating, I am pretty sure with the increase number of flights, it will be resumed soon.

Unleash Your Wild Side: The Ultimate Outdoor Adventure Run at Taman Botani Kuala Lumpur!
For those seeking outdoor adventures right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, look no further than Taman Botani Perdana. This sprawling botanical garden is not just a serene spot for nature lovers, but also a hidden gem for those craving a dynamic, city-side escape. I recently laced up my running shoes for a sunset run, and it quickly turned into a memorable adventure, combining nature’s beauty with the city's iconic skyline.
As I set out on my 6KM journey, the park felt like a natural playground—filled with meandering paths, gentle slopes, and shaded stretches under massive trees. Completing three laps around the park wasn’t just about ticking off a fitness goal. Each round revealed a different side of the landscape: trickling streams, colorful flowerbeds, and even quiet ponds reflecting the golden light of the setting sun. This isn’t just your ordinary park run; it feels like you're running through a real urban jungle, full of surprises at every turn.
The adventure doesn’t stop with nature, though. One of the most rewarding parts of this run was the view that opened up as I approached the edges of the park. Kuala Lumpur Sentral’s iconic office towers loomed on the horizon, bathed in the warm glow of dusk. The contrast of the towering skyscrapers against the leafy greenery of Taman Botani KL reminded me of how incredible it is to have such a serene natural haven in the middle of a bustling metropolis.
For outdoor enthusiasts, Taman Botani KL offers the best of both worlds—an adventurous trail through nature combined with jaw-dropping views of the city’s skyline. Whether you’re aiming to hit a running goal or just want to experience the rush of an urban-nature fusion, this park provides the perfect setting for a sunset adventure.

🇲🇾Best Bus Coach I've been on🚌Aeroline
Honestly, before I tried Aeroline, I hated taking coach buses to KL, especially having to hold my bladder for 5-6 hours. I rarely went to KL for that reason, I was too lazy to spend an hour traveling to the airport for a quick flight too.
.
A Malaysian friend recommended Aeroline, so I booked it without expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t even sure if food was stated as included, so I planned to skip lunch, but I ended up with a proper meal served on a "hidden" table, which the food served was actually delicious too. The food and drinks were prepared on the lower bus deck, while all the passengers sat upstairs. I was lucky to get a corner seat with a personal charging station, and the seat was super spacious and clean. It completely changed my uncomfortable perception of coach buses!
.
I had an amazing time traveling here on Aeroline coach bus. The ride was incredibly smooth, with no sudden jam breaks or rough roads feels. Plus, the seats were bouncy and comfortable, I feel super pampered in that few hours.
