This hotel is such a great example that you don’t need to stay in a 5 star hotel to be accommodated well. The owner of this hotel is such a nice and kind woman. She helped us with things like recommending us places to see and even recommended us a tour agent. She even helped me order something online. This hotel maybe is a little bit far from the downtown area but everything you need is in close proximity and the view of our hotel room is priceless. #traveldiaries Coming to Urumqi I think I have prepared enough and researched enough but I still felt so surprised and delighted with all the things and scenery that I saw. I was pleasantly surprised. This is Swan Lake located inside the Tianshan Grand Canyon. There are multiple scenic spots inside the grand canyon and I this is the top of it all. This about 40 minutes away from the main entrance of the canyon which is at the foot of the mountain. Shuttle busses are included in your ticket price. When you reach Swan lake there is an opportunity to ride horses for extra cash. We did’t try it as we just enjoyed walking around and taking it all in. The view of the scow capped mountain, the lake, the grassland and everything that is in this place makes you feel calm! So , I highly recommend for you to visit the grand canyon. Trip app offers tickets , just have a look at the list of what scenic spots they offer for Urumqi. Enjoy! Tip: we went in October and it is freezing up there. #traveldiaries This was not included in our planned itinerary but on our last night we ran out of something to do so we bought a ticket to this Xinjiang Cultural Show in the International Grand Bazaar Yanyi theater. The entire show is vibrant and lovely though as foreigners we didn’t understand most of it because the storytelling was in Chinese. Still, we really enjoyed it , the dancing , the drum performances, the costume everything was just so attractive. Our ticket includes buffet dinner too which just right next to the entrance of the theater. You can buy the ticket on trip app or just go there directly but if you are there during the holiday better secure your ticket in advance.
