The old city Of Bari with it’s beautiful small churches and pugliese vibe with little limoncello details and typos related to south Italy. It has this exotic old school related to religion with small temples in most corners of the city. There is also a street full of fashion brands, the normal one and luxury ones as-well.

A Fairytale in Southern Italy
I’ve wanted to visit Alberobello for so long and finally at the end of 2024 I can tick it off my bucket list. It really is a fairytale place. It’s so nice just walking around the streets and so interesting that many people still live in these Trulli. There are some great museums housed inside some of the larger Trulli complexes and there are people who even open their homes to tourists, so you can see how, even today people live in these dwellings some of which date from the 14th century. I arrived early morning via coach from Bari and there were hardly any tourists around, from late morning onwards it did start to get busier, so if possible I would advise arriving early then even more magical experience.

The Understated Beauty of Bari
Bari on the southeast coast of Italy is the capital of Italy’s Puglia region. The old town is situated between two harbours and contains buildings from the 11th century. From Bari you can easily take trips along the coast to beautiful seaside towns such as Monopoli or Polignano a Mare; you can also visit Alberobello, Matura or other towns such as Locorotondo in Basilicata, very easily from Bari by train.

Bari has the largest port on Italy's Adriatic coast, and with its access to numerous shipping routes the city is the foremost economic center in the region after Naples. But Bari is more than a port. It is truly an off-the-beaten-path destination, boasting spectacular food, castles, churches, and friendly people.

It is a wonderful place with many pedestrian streets maybe longer than 3-4km and some fortresses, castles and amazing italian architecture. There are plenty of restaurants along the streets and the atmosphere is incredible. I really liked the place.
