The weather was beautiful when we stayed in the southern part of Hong Kong island, so we decided to spend the day exploring the nearby beaches! 1. Address - Repulse Bay Beach Highlights- Go for the views and the incredible calm water that was perfect for swimming 👙 I could have spent all day in the sea! Rating - 10/10 2. Address - Stanley Village and Main Beach (hop on any of the buses from the main road by Repulse Bay for 15 mins) Highlights- Explore the eclectic market, mainly selling souvenirs, and the colourful village. Head for lunch at one of the many establishments along the coast. After exploring the market, head to Stanley Main Beach. Rating - 8/10 3. Address - St Stephen’s Beach (just a 15 min walk from Stanley) Highlights - much quieter than Stanley Main Beach with relaxing atmosphere, we practically had a private beach! When in El Nido, don’t miss out on visiting Nacpan. There are a lot of things you can do in Nacpan aside from just swimming at the beach. If you are lucky enough to visit during hatching season, you will be able to see turtles! I spent half day traveling to nacpan. If you are coming from El Nido town, it’s around 30-40 mins ride and 20-30 mins ride from Lio Estate area. I hired a tricycle to take me there costs around Php 1000. I availed a day tour at Angkla Beach resort for Php 1000 (consumable of food and drinks and use of pool until 5pm). Fengshan Hotspring was my favorite resort in Beijing. It is a good place to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Aside from its swimming pool and saunas, spa pools covered with verdant leaves made the resort more picturesque. Food in the Buffet restaurant was also included in the package. 🌸 The Oriental Spring is a perfect place to relax as it offers not only various types of swimming pools (including hot spring, indoor and outdoor pools, etc.) but also many other activities and facilities for kids and adults (for any age). 🚇 I went there by metro and it is the cheapest and the most convenient transportation for me to get there. It is located 5 minutes walk from metro line 10 Hangzhong Road Station- exit 2 (Depending on your walking speed). I walked through the park in front of exit 2. 💯 This experience is perfect because I enjoyed swimming outdoor all morning and at around 2pm, it rained so l went indoor, cleaned myself, spinned dry my swimsuit, blow dried my hair, put on dry clothes, and charged my phone (There are suckets on the floor which you can see everywhere, I had to ask the receptionist first and he showed me one of the suckets on the floor at the lobby and l also found suckets at the rest area). The staff are very accommodating. 😍 🥤🍽 I also had meals there and Oriental Spring offers many other facilities indoor and worry not about the time because it closes at 12 midnight. Hence, if you wan to maximize your experience, you should go there in the morning. Words are not enough for me to explain my experience 😅. Build your own tent and stay until day time is out is also recommended, which mostly of local chinese do as well. Recommended to be visit when stay at Weihai City. However, if you really want to explore Hualien hidden paradise, try to rent a bicycle and take a ride along the river to the mountain. I was accidentally found this hidden waterfall in Sha Po Dang. Sha Po Dang is a jungle trail and it is only take around 45 minutes ride from Hualien Main Station. It is quiet and chill there. You can swim during the summer time! In the cold, wet months, we all require access to an indoor heated pool. We are swimming and rejoicing in the indoor heated pool while on holiday at the Hilton Hefei. There are 3 separate pools, two of which are circular heated pools. The third, larger pool, is a nice place to swim. It has a wonderful ambiance, polite and helpful personnel, and is clean. The Kahanamoku beach is located near the marina and has a small salty water lagoon ideal to enjoy if you bring small kids. Or you dislike the feeling of crashing waves. This beach has more coarser sand than Waikiki beach, although is quieter and nicer for families. It’s also located near Waikiki downtown, you can either reach there from the marina or the Duke Paoa Kahanamoku Park. Address - Shangri-La Hotel, 22 Orange Grove Road, Singapore 258350 One of the main attractions at Shangri-La Hotel is the big swimming pool that is super kid-friendly! It is one of the few hotels that actively hire life guards to be stationed by the pool to monitor guests’ safety. There are also child-sized life vests on a rack that you can easily borrow. But the most important reason why I find this pool so awesome is that it is actually heated! That means that I can take a swim any time of the day and not have to worry whether the waters are freezing or not. Love how the pool is designed with guests in mind. The Hidden Treasure waterfalls (cataratas Tesoro Escondido) are located in Bajos del Toro Amarillo, next to Water National Park, Alajuela province. This area is located within the border of Poas Volcano National Park, one of the most famous volcanos in Costa Rica. This volcanic river originates within the Poas volcano, therefore its blue color is natural. To fully appreciate its beauty, you need to visit during summer time (sediment release in rainy season alters water color). Water is very cold, but absolutely breathtaking, perfect after the short hike around the mountain to reach the waterfalls. It spans pretty much the whole length of the restaurant that is adjacent to it so it is very long. One minor drawback is that despite its immense length, it is rather narrow. However, the ambience is quite peaceful with the wooden decks and gentle breeze. There is also a shallower area for the kids to play safely at.
