Foshan|Famous coffee shop in the museum
%Arabica has opened so many branches that it's no longer surprising.
This time, I discovered this beautiful and spacious café while visiting the He Art Museum in Foshan. The view is amazing, with rippling water visible through the window, creating a perfect atmosphere.
The latte is as usual, with a rich milk flavor and a strong coffee aroma. If you like the surrounding products, the store also displays various items like cups and more, which are perfect for gifts or personal use.

🏛️ With its dramatic lighting, sweeping staircase, and chic upstairs and downstairs terraces, it’s as photograph-worthy as it is inviting.
🍷🍺 Grab your favorite wine or beer from their four huge centerpiece fridges, then relax and soak in the effortlessly cool atmosphere. Whether you’re catching up with friends or enjoying a night out, Commune is the ultimate place to see and be seen.

101Guide: Shunde Longjiang and Lecong ~ China's Largest Furniture Town
👀 Introduction:
Longjiang (龙江) 📌 is a town in west-central Guangdong province under the administration of Shunde District, Foshan City, which lies 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) to the north-northeast. The town 🏙️ covers an area of 78.3 square kilometres.
🏖️ Attractions:
Longjiang is just 15mins away from Lecong International Furnishing City located at Lecong Town 📌, which is the largest furniture 🪑 market in China (probably the world). Known as the richest 💰 town in Shunde, it also also big in steel and the plastic market besides the usual furniture parts, fittings and accessories.
If you are in the business of furniture or if you are sourcing for cheap and high quality products, this is a "must visit place" as it has everything here. It's amazing to witness a whole township of furniture wholesalers, retailers and exhibition centres. In fact restaurants and hotels here have the furniture word in between. The furniture 🪑 markets stretches over miles and miles and covers a whopping 3 million+ square metres.
We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel which is the central of the LongJiang town and also a landmark 📌. We walked around Winsun Centre Shopping Mall 🛍️ which doesn't have much stuffs besides the usual local Chinese brands but it does have lots of F&B 🍲 eateries. Strangely, we do see a lot of this mall (with the same Winsun name) in a few locations and with name variants like supermarket, etc.
Down the road, around 1.5km from Courtyard we went to Gong Hou Tian Temple (宫后天) ⛩️ which is near the wet market area. The area here is old and small, but there are also a lot of eateries 🍲 here, comprising mainly local Shunde dishes. Opposite, there are a few local banks 🏦 such as CGB, ABC, BOC, etc on one stretch of road.
🔚 Conclusion:
Rating: 🌟 🌟 🌟 3.5/5
If you are sourcing for furniture 💺, Lecong is the No 1️⃣ place to visit. We also see many hotels around here so it shouldn't be difficult to get accommodation. Lijiang, on the other hand is a small township and most F&B, hotels, retail stores are concentrated around a 3km radius from the Centre (Courtyard 🏩 Hotel).
💡 Tip: Recommended Restaurant 🍲 ~ JELI King 啫王 famous for Claypot Dishes. Their signature Claypot Chicken is delicious 😋!!

Staycation in Foshan Nanhai
Looking for somewhere to get away from the city? Foshan Nanhai may just be the place for you and there you can find many parks and places to relax.
Check out Crowne Plaza Foshan Nanhai
Not only is it positioned in a quiet area with relaxing lake views, this hotel has been open for only a few years and is fairly new!
Compared to other Crowne Plazas I’ve stayed at, this one goes above and beyond to make your stay relaxing! Breakfast is delicious and if you’re an IHG member you may even get some extra benefits
But moreover is the breathtaking views, sunrise and place to relax and rejuvenate away from the city!
The hotel has everything you need including:
- Swimming Pool
- Gym
- Restaurants
Tips:
Ask for a high floor room away from the elevator, you will have a very peaceful sleep!
📍Crowne Plaza Foshan Nanhai. Take a taxi from Guangzhou South Railway
💪Pool, fitness centre and situated at the edge of a lake - which is great for jogging!
🍔The breakfast buffet was great and part of the room rate when I visited. There are some small restaurants nearby, but not many
💰Cost per room including breakfast cost me 450rmb/night

Foshan Wenhanhu Lake Park
Wenhanhu Lake Park is a great place to base yourself as it’s a fairly quiet area with lots of grassy areas, a lake, a sand pit all which are spectacular day and night.
At night, I like to jog round the park - the air is cooler and the lake is lit up. You will find people like to come here to play and night time is certainly best to relax and exercise!
Tips:
- Looking for public toilets? You will find these at the far end of the park (opposite Crowne Plaza Hotel)
- You can stay at Crowne Plaza to and make it a staycation - the hotel is new and fairly cheap for the quality!
📍You can get to the lake park by taking a taxi or Didi from Guangzhou South Station, a Didi cost 18rmb at time of writing and was about 15mins drive.
💰The park is free to enter

Mt Xiqiao - Big Buddha
Today I will tell you more about Mt Xiqiao, or how many people call it Big Buddha in Foshan.
Foshan is city next to Guangzhou and they are connected by subway, so it's very convenient. From Kuiqi Lu metro station you can take Didi to drive you directly to the entrance of Mt Xiqiao. When you buy ticket and pass security control you have option to walk or to take electric car.
First what you gonna see are few smaller Temples and you are slowly climbing upstairs. Temple after Temple and you will arrive at big Square in front of Big Buddha but more stairs are in front of you. 😁
After you climb all those stairs you will be directly in front of it, you can enjoy in amazing view and you can check small mussem which is under Big Buddha.
At the end its very nice place to visit. Count that you need minimum half of the day because it's located outside of the city area.

101Guide: Foshan 佛山 City Walk
#100waysoftravel #Foshan #lingnantiandi
👀 Introduction:
Foshan (佛山) has about 7 million people 🧑🤝🧑, and is traced directly to the origin of Cantonese opera and Kungfu 🤼 with association to iconic martial artists such as Wong Fei-hung (黄飞鸿), Bruce Lee and Ip Man (叶问). It is also the ancestral home of Bruce Lee. Besides the above, Foshan is also renowned as one of China’s leading centers of art and scholarship, with 22 heritage sites which includes 2 heritage sites, namely Zumiao, an ancient Taoist temple 🛕 and the Donghuali Old Town , a well-known historic area.
🌆 The City Walk:
We first visited NOVA Mall 🛍️, located at the center of Chancheng District (near Zumiao Metro 🚇 Station. There are Fashion brands like Uniqlo and H&M here and other retail, entertainment 🍷 and lifestyle 🍲 offerings. It draws in the more affluent urban crowd unlike the All Shopping Mall 🛒 opposite which sell mainly local brands. However it does have some good restaurants on the upper level. For landmark 📍, they have a Mcdonalds near the front entrance.
Next is Lingnan Xintiandi📍aka Lingnan Heaven and Earth 🌎 (岭南天地) which is a "must visit place"!!! It's amazing astonishing at night. Designed to blend social and cultural elements with traditional values.. It is successful in delivering a cool entertainment area that is also so traditional and fun. It's so instagrammable 📸 worthy almost everywhere here!!
🔚 Conclusion:
The malls here are mostly inter-connected and it is easy to navigate without needing much of a GPS. Signboards are clear and not misleading (unlike other cities in 🇨🇳). We like Foshan so much that we will probably stay a few more nights ☺️.
Never a dull moment in Lingnan Tian De
Must visit Foshan if you’re in GuangDong and don’t forget to spend a day in Lingnan TianDe. Since our hotel was nearby, we walked here almost everyday as there is so much to see, eat & visit. It’s definitely a food galore catered to tourists and upper middle class Chinese - a lot of modern local brands and every corner is insta-worthy. We couldn’t resist the ice- cream, coffee cafes, local cuisine & Knick-knacks.
We were here mainly at night and had coffee during the day.
Also worth a mention -if you’re into technology and China made cars, there are a few showrooms within the vicinity ie Hua Wei, BYD, etc.
It’s truly a fun area to walk around for both young and old!

Guangzhou Trip 2024 @ Foshan
Foshan takes about 40 minutes by subway from Guangzhou. If you have extra time in the city, you might consider visiting places like the Foshan Zumiao Museum, Lingnan Tiandi, and Fisherman’s Wharf. You can also explore the Wong Fei-hung Museum to experience Guangdong culture. Especially Wong Fei-hung, as I grew up watching his films, it feels like visiting the hometown of a character who lived in my childhood television world.

Making clay at Foshan ancient Kiln
#winhkflight
Nanfeng Kiln is a tourist attraction in the Ancient Nanfeng Kiln Cultural and Creative Zone, which is located in Shiwan Town, Chancheng District, Foshan city, Guangdong province of China. It was built in the Ming Dynasty Zhengde period, and has been continuously firing Shiwan ware for over 500 years so far.

Surprising birthday cakee
I was quarantined in Foshan city after coming to Guangzhou for 14 days. The members in the quarantined area were very kind and friendly to support me even I only know English. Especially, they made a surprising thing for me with a birthday cake. In the postcard, it was written manually. Thank you so much. I highly appreciate your care and thank Chinese people.
