I had so much fun exploring the unique boutiques and grabbing cool souvenirs. The best part? The food! Visited Shirakawa-go on my trip to Nagoya, and it was absolutely breathtaking! The traditional thatched-roof houses, especially in winter, make the village look like something out of a fairy tale. The atmosphere is peaceful, and the scenery is stunning, with picturesque mountains surrounding the village. The service everywhere was wonderful—locals are very friendly and welcoming. You can explore the Gassho-zukuri houses, some of which are centuries old, and even stay overnight in a traditional inn for an authentic experience. The Nagoya science city museum is 7 levels of varied and dynamic museum exhibits with lots of interactive exhibitions. It is very informative and factful with signs to read and a really, really amazing planetarium. And its seems to be quite popular with domestic crowd. Lots of families with kids and people of all ages. It can be quite busy on the day, so it's best to get tickets in advance. Because at the venue I saw a long que of people buying tickets. I also like the central location, which makes it easy to get to. There's something here for everyone, whether you are a child, adult or a just interested in science in general. My first amazing trip to Nagoya, Japan and wanted to share my experiences. Nagoya is a vibrant city that has something to offer everyone, from families to thrill-seekers. Discovering the Wonders of Science: My first stop was the Nagoya City Science Museum. This museum was a fascinating place to learn about science and technology. There were interactive exhibits, planetarium shows, and even a dinosaur exhibit. It was a great way to spend a few hours and learn something new. Building Memories at Legoland Japan: Next, I visited Legoland Japan (I am a lego fan). This theme park was a total blast! The rides were thrilling, the LEGO creations were incredible, and the atmosphere was full of fun and excitement. I especially loved the Miniland area, where you can see iconic landmarks from all over Japan built entirely out of LEGO bricks. Indulging in Authentic Japanese Cuisine: No trip to Japan would be complete without trying some of the local cuisine. If you ever visit Nagoya, then Ghibli Park is a must visit for those who love Japanese anime. The park features houses, spaces, characters and exhibits from some of the iconic Studio Ghibli films. Many creative light shows were made not only for visual purposes but also let visitors interact and take amazing photos!! Although the location isn’t near any train stations but you can take their shuttle services from Nagoya or Nagashima Station. It is not like USJ or Disneyland which have rides, this is more like a museum where you get to see Ghibli scenes come to life. The nearest station is Aichikyuhaku Kinenkoen Station. There are also limited meitetsu buses from Nagoya station to the Park. It is a must go for Ghibli fans. It is just so surreal and magical to see the sets. You can even see Totoro behind a bar table. So cute! There is also limited edition short Ghibli films for us to watch in a theatre. It changes seasonally. It was a really nice experience over there. I wish to visit the Ghibli museum in 2024

[Hida-Furukawa following your name] Before coming to Japan since the time before the country opened, I accidentally believed and watched the anime Kimi no Nawa, the name of your name. Actually, it was too late. It was famous many years ago. I don't know why I wanted to come here. I stuffed Hida-Furukawa into my plan. From the travel survey, I had to pass through Takayama. It's a very famous city, but I've never put it in my itinerary. This time, I planned to leave Shirakawa-go and sleep in Takayama so that I would have time to travel in the morning. our family went to Takayama old town in february. very happy because there is still snow in the traditional houses Takayama old town has been beautifully preserved with many buildings and whole streets of houses dating back to the feudal ages. when the city thrived as a wealthy merchant town. The southern half of the old town, especially the Sannomachi Street, survives in a particularly pretty state with many old homes, shops, cafes and sake breweries, some of which have been in business for centuries. Nagoya may not be the most popular nor biggest city in Japan but it is definitely worth visiting especially when transmitting to Shirakagowa. Nagoya is the 4th largest city besides Tokyo, Osaka and Yokohama. It is the major transport hub between Osaka, Tokyo and Kyoto. Main attractions includes Nagoya castle, Ghibli Park, Hisaya Odori Park, Nagoya TV tower which is one of the oldest TV towers in Japan. Nagoya is located around 90mins away from Tokyo by bullet train. Two to three days in Nagoya is more than enough. Best months to visit are March to May which is dry and sunny. Nagoya is famous for local produce of fresh water eel called unagi, deep fried chicken wings (Tebasaki), deep fried pork cutlet and Kishinev (flat wheat noodles) are all must try food. You can make a side trip from Nagoya to Shirakawago and Gokayama, Kiso Valley, Takayama, Gero Onsen and Inuyama. It is an aviation theme park with the very first Boeing 787 (ZA001) donated by Boeing to celebrate and commemorate the historic partnership between Japan’s leading aerospace industry. You need to pay the admission fee (adult: ¥1,200/child: ¥800) to get to the ground level and to enter the aircraft, but it is completely free of charge to see from above. We like the accommodation here. Minimal and young people like it. 💕 . I liked it since I saw the black and white lines. The more I entered, the more I liked it. Use a key card system to tap the elevator to go up. It's safe. Downstairs is a minimalist cafe. There are a lot of power outlets. . The room is in a white tone that is easy on the eyes. The room is much larger than other places I've stayed. Walking past each other, 2 people won't bump into each other. The table is wide enough to put your suitcase up there. There's a lot of space to use. There's space for many bags behind the door. . The room has an air conditioner on the ceiling, an air purifier, a refrigerator, a flat-screen TV. The headboard is wide, can put a lot of things. There's a rotating light switch. There are also plug sockets and USB ports at the head of the bed. There are a lot of plug sockets. Counting, there are 8 sockets, both at the door, the table, the headboard and the bathroom. It's good. 👍🏻 . The bathroom is as wide as the bedroom. It's the first time I've stayed in a room with a separate bathroom and shower room. There's a basket for clothes, a towel drawer and a hair dryer at the sink. The toilet is also a new type, automatic. The shower room has a door that opens and is a sitting shower. There is a small chair and a bowl of bath water. There is a shower head. The bathtub is very wide and not too deep. There is a button to adjust the light to be white or orange. It gives a different atmosphere. The toiletries are complete and smell very good 😍. To be honest I wasn't sure to stop in Nagoya or not, but adter making some friends from there I give the city a chance.
