Stunning Cruise! Kujukushima Sightseeing Boat!
Take a beautiful scenic boat through the mountains and waters of Kujukushima. This sightseeing journey is even more amazing than you can imagine. The ride is very smooth, so you won't get seasick. The sightseeing boat has both indoor and outdoor areas that you can freely switch between. Whether you're sitting and drinking tea while enjoying the scenery, or climbing up to the mast area to overlook the beautiful interweaving of sea and islands, it's highly recommended! However, be prepared for strong winds that might mess up your hair, haha.
Japan solo travel for 18 days Day 6 Nagasaki
#ItinerarySharing #Japan #Nagasaki #Nagasaki Attractions
Looking back on my 18-day solo trip to Japan in 2022 when the epidemic was just lifted
Get up early in the morning and set off from Hakata to Nagasaki. After arriving in Nagasaki, go to the comprehensive sightseeing center in the station to buy a one-day Nagasaki tram ticket, which costs 600 yen for adults. The tram will arrive at every tourist spot, around evening Time to leave and return to Hakata. Looking back now, why did I visit so many scenic spots today? I still remember that it was super hot at noon that day and I was wearing a fur coat. I felt a little rushed to visit Nagasaki in one day. Next time I have the chance to come, I will have to wait for two or three days.
The first stop was Dejima Station: walking along the pier in this area is a very suitable place for walking. There are also many restaurants to choose from. I found ATTIC coffee 2nd. After drinking coffee, it was about time for lunch. Went to the seafood market for lunch at Nagasaki Port, and after eating we took a walk to Dejima.
"ATTIC coffee 2nd" is located next to Nagasaki Dejima Pier. I wanted to have a cup of coffee early in the morning and ordered a mango cake to go with it. The cake was very ordinary. I chose an outdoor seat. It was very comfortable to sit outside and drink coffee in a daze.
"Seafood Market Nagasaki Port" is located near ATTIC coffee 2nd. I ordered seafood rice bowl. I don't like salmon roe, so I asked the clerk not to give it to me. It contains salmon, sea urchin, squid, and tuna. I thought it tasted ordinary. Remember One fish dish tasted fishy.
"Dejima" is a fan-shaped artificial island with a Japanese-style building street. It was a port open to the outside world during the lockdown. The entrance to the central main bridge was only built in 2016. Once you enter, you will find a retro Japanese-style street with Japanese-style buildings extending on both sides. It is to recreate the former port scenery.
At the second stop, I walked to SHKP Chinatown. They were all selling Chinese food. I didn’t have much interest in it, so I walked around and left.
Take the bus at the third stop and get off at Pinghe Park: After going to Pinghe Park, walk to the Atomic Bomb Museum. I happened to encounter an elementary school outdoor teaching that day. It felt like having an outdoor teaching history class with children.
"Peace Park" will have very clear road signs when walking around the park. Whether you are going to the Atomic Bomb Museum, the Atomic Bomb Drop Center, Jiuragami Cathedral and the strata at the time of the bombing, etc., they are all very clear. Walk to the end and you will see peace. The highlight of the park is the Peace Statue.
After buying the tickets at the ticket office of the "Atomic Bomb Museum", I went in to visit. The first exhibit was the "clock that always stops at 11:02", which is the time of the atomic bomb explosion. It also displays the buildings that were destroyed by the bomb. , daily necessities, clothing, etc. It’s actually quite touching. I feel that the world now is peaceful and beautiful.
Take the fourth stop and get off at Suwa Shrine: Suwa Shrine
It is one of the oldest shrines in Japan. It is very tiring to climb up from the torii gate at the door. After walking up, the scenery of Nagasaki looking back is quite beautiful.
Take the fifth stop and get off at Yubashi Bridge: Glasses Bridge
The first stone arch bridge in Japan, the Glasses Bridge, as the name suggests, is the image of glasses formed by reflection. The surroundings of the Glasses Bridge are piled with stones. There are several heart-shaped stones in these stones, but I actually forgot to look for them. It was only after my friend asked me if I had seen it that I remembered it! ! !
Take the bus to Oura Cathedral and get off at the sixth stop: Oura Cathedral and Glover Garden
"Oura Catholic Church" will first pass by Oura Catholic Church Shopping Street, which is an uphill road. There are two rows of shops selling a variety of Nagasaki delicacies and souvenirs. At the end, we will reach Oura Catholic Church, but I did not buy a ticket to visit. I just took a look outside and then continued to Glover Park.
"Global Park" is located on a hill, so it's all uphill. However, there are escalators that can go all the way up to the park and then slowly come down. There are nine Western-style buildings in the park. My favorite is the Glover Park. There is also a flower garden in front of the Laba residence.
At the seventh stop, we got off at the Kankodori Street: We walked around the Kankodori Street and had a snack. I bought the Bunbumido Nagasaki Cake and Iwasaki Honpo's Kakuzo Manju. I originally wanted to eat Yoshimune Honten's steamed egg dishes, but There was still some time left before I left the door and I didn’t want to wait.
You can buy one piece of "Bingmingdo Nagasaki Cake" by itself. I think it's delicious. It's a pity that I can't buy one to take home before I go back to Taiwan.
"Iwasaki Honpo" is a steamed bun. I remember each one costs about NT$100. It contains Dongpo meat. I don't eat fatty meat, so I think this dish is very common and expensive.

A Solo Trip to Kube Station in Nagasaki
Kube Station, located on the Shimabara Railway Line in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, is a small and tranquil station. Built in 1913, it still retains its original wooden architectural style, exuding a nostalgic charm. Although Kube Station is not large, its unique geographical location makes it an excellent spot for viewing the sea. The station is backed by mountains and faces the Ariake Sea, surrounded by beautiful scenery that attracts many tourists and photography enthusiasts.
At Kube Station, quietly watching the sea alone is a rare spiritual cleansing. Standing on the platform, you can see the vast Ariake Sea, with the water sparkling under the sunlight. Distant fishing boats dot the horizon, and the occasional cry of seabirds adds to the sense of tranquility and beauty of nature. Here, there is no city noise, only the gentle sea breeze brushing your face, making you feel exceptionally calm. Whether contemplating life or simply enjoying a moment of peace, Kube Station is an ideal place.

Nagasaki: Peace Park Wishing for World Peace
Although I have not experienced war myself, I believe it is essential for Japan to continue conveying past experiences to future generations and wishing for peace through places like Peace Park.
The atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, leading to the end of the war.
Despite becoming a defeated nation, I felt grateful for being able to live in peace now as I looked at the park's monuments.
The right hand of the Peace Statue pointing upwards symbolizes the threat of the atomic bomb, while the left hand stretched out horizontally represents peace.
It was a day that made me reflect on what peace truly means through my travels.

🍓Nagasaki/Fruit Bus Stop Street🍈
I finally arrived at the bus stop for the 🍓 I had been longing for ✨
I was so moved!
There were 🍈 in front of me,
and 🍊 and other fruits in front and behind them.
Just riding through this bus street in Konagai was so exciting!
But among all of them, this place overlooking the Ariake Sea is the best spot!
You can take the best shot from either the street side or the other side with the small window, no doubt about it!
I came to this place just for this,
and it was well worth it 🍓

[Takachiho] A Healing Spot Brimming with Greenery and Negative Ions.
I always wanted to visit Takachiho!
The waterfalls flowing into the river, of course,
and the surrounding area is full of greenery and so beautiful that it was very healing!!
[Tourism Points]----------------------------------
○ During peak seasons, it is essential to reserve boat tickets in advance
→ Since I went during Golden Week, it was a complete reservation system. Tickets can be purchased online from 9 a.m. one week prior.
⭐︎ We wanted to get tickets for around 11 a.m., so we accessed the site from two iPhones and one PC about 10 minutes before the start. We kept refreshing the page 30 seconds before, and miraculously, only the PC managed to access and purchase the tickets. The two iPhones couldn't connect at all, and by the time they finally did at 9:10 a.m., almost all tickets were sold out. If you are going during a busy period, I definitely recommend accessing from a PC.
○ The morning is beautiful!
→ It's always beautiful, but especially in the morning when the light shines through, it looks very pretty. The best time to take a boat ride is in the morning!
○ The area around the boat dock is bustling with stalls, flowing noodles, souvenir shops, and trout fishing, offering many attractions, so it's good to plan for a longer sightseeing time.
○ The Tunnel Station, very close to Takachiho Gorge, was also a nice little detour! You can also sample sake aged in the tunnel.
[Caution]----------------------------------
○ You might get surprisingly wet.
→ Even if you don't go near the waterfall, you can get wet depending on the wind direction, and you can get splashed with water when rowing the boat. Also, for women, pants are recommended over skirts. My hem got wet because it touched the boat floor.
⭐︎ However, it feels like a mist, so you can feel the negative ions all over your body, and I think it's great, especially in the summer!
Holland Slope and Higashiyamate Western-style Residential Area
It is Holland Slope, a popular tourist spot in Nagasaki where old Western-style buildings line up, once a foreign settlement.
It seems that the place where foreigners lived was named Holland due to the influence of the image of Dutch people = foreigners in Japan at that time.
Climbing the slope full of exotic atmosphere, there is the Higashiyamate Western-style residential area where multiple Western-style buildings are preserved.
You can enter several Western-style buildings here and on Holland Slope, and you can see the interior decorations from that time.
There were also places with cafes attached.
Nagasaki Prefecture’s romantic and exotic garden - Glover Garden
Today arranged a day trip to Nagasaki Prefecture to enjoy the integration into the purposeful Nagasaki Prefecture with my family
In addition to beef good food, specialty Nagasaki cake, Nagasaki Prefecture actually has many famous attractions and specialties
This day trip I specially booked a special express train directly to Nagasaki Prefecture
The first stop is Li arrived
The most representative of Nagasaki Prefecture is probably the Eyeglass Bridge
Because it looks like a pair of glasses, it is called the bridge of glasses😂
Usually you have to take pictures based on the angle
Then we set off for the main purpose of this time
Glover Garden, which combines European and American styles with Japanese style
In fact, once you enter, you will see a very large garden
The architectural features are more elegant, European and American
Many locations are suitable for photography and check-in, and there are many Japanese people traveling with us
The highlight is also a huge platform to see the scenery of the whole Nagasaki Prefecture, it is really beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Photography downhill, the garden is very large, and lots of resting spots
Very suitable for families, couples together

Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and Peace Memorial Hall.
During World War II, Nagasaki was also the target of an atomic bombing.
At the Peace Memorial Park, located right by the Atomic Bomb Museum tram station, you can visit statues and other memorials dedicated to the victims and wishing for peace.
Just a short walk from the park is the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum.
At the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, you can learn about the horrors of the bombing through videos and other exhibits. There are also visually impactful displays such as a reconstruction of the side wall of the Urakami Cathedral, which was destroyed in the blast.
Additionally, there is a small observation deck-like spot where you can overlook the city.
Japan’s first station platform Japanese sake bar, Hama Bar
Today I found out that this Hama Bar at Hizenhama Station is the first station platform Japanese sake bar in Japan.
Hama Bar only sells ground sake from six Kashima local sake collections, and also offers sake sets, that we buy on the car set.
There is also a sake street outside the station, there are ancient houses, wine collections, soy sauce brewing grounds, etc. can be visited, unfortunately it was raining on the day of visit, otherwise you can match the parking time outside to walk around, only to wait for the next time!
