A Tropical Staycation to Remember

Ever since Dusit Thani Laguna opened in Singapore, me and my sister have been wanting to stay there for a night. The unique structure with glass panels and organic shape made me more eager to try it out. Come July, we decided to spend my sister's birthday at the hotel and booked a Prestige Verandah Pool View Suite for a night. We loved the room as it came with a bathtub, a requirement whenever we do staycations. The room is located on a corner, with 2 sides decked in glass from ceiling to floor with a pool view, and the other side with a verandah and an outdoor bathtub & shower feature covered with plants. The room is pretty nice. It has two sinks, separate shower and toilet enclosure, has an outdoor table and chairs at the verandah, seating area inside the room, and a study table and chair. The bed is super comfortable. Overall the room was nice and we enjoyed the room, I just wished that the service and staff at that time were at par with how good the hotel is, because in the end, the room is expensive and it would let us expect a nicer service.

DoubleTree Resort Penang: Your Gateway to Family Fun in the Sun
Our family getaway to Penang was filled with sunshine, smiles, and a few unexpected discoveries at the DoubleTree Resort. We settled into our spacious twin room, a perfect haven for our family. After check-in, the staff efficiently set up the comfy sofa bed for the kids, which they absolutely loved! The powerful shower was a welcome treat after long days of exploring, washing away the sand and sweat in an instant. The warm chocolate chip cookies that greeted us upon arrival were a delightful touch, setting the stage for a relaxing vacation.
One of the highlights was the private bridge leading directly to Miami Beach. It felt like our own secret passage to the sea, and the kids couldn't get enough of it! However, we quickly discovered that the nearby public beaches, Ferringhi Walk and Ferringhi Bay, offered even more space, excitement, and stunning scenery. We spent many happy hours building sandcastles, splashing in the waves, and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.
While the hotel's pool was clean and inviting, it was a bit smaller than we expected. This encouraged us to venture out and discover the amazing beaches nearby, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We also found ourselves pleasantly surprised by the variety of local restaurants and shops within walking distance, adding another dimension to our Penang experience.
The breakfast buffet at Makan Kitchen was a satisfying start to each day, with a decent selection of both local and international favorites. While it may not have been as extensive as other DoubleTree buffets we've experienced, it certainly provided enough fuel for our adventures.
Our stay at the DoubleTree Resort Penang was a reminder that sometimes, the most memorable travel moments happen when you step outside your comfort zone and embrace the unexpected. While there were a few minor quirks, like the daily parking fee and the smaller-than-anticipated pool, they were easily overshadowed by the overall positive experience. We left with happy memories, sun-kissed skin, and a newfound appreciation for the beauty and charm of Penang.

Manyo Hotel and Resort
Manyo Hotel and Resort is a new and lovely place to relax in Luang Prabang, Laos.
The rooms are spacious and modern, with all the amenities needed. The staff are incredibly friendly and always greet you with a smile. One of the highlights of the resort is the swimming pool, which makes the complex even more beautiful.
The location is also good, it’s not on the famous street but is very close to all the attractions. Also, you can rent a motorbike with them and they will bring it to the door, which is very convenient.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Luang Prabang, this resort is definitely a great choice!

I recently stayed at City Inn Vientiane and had a pleasant experience overall.
The hotel’s location was great, very easy to explore main attractions like the Patuxay Monument. The room was clean, very spacious and well-equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful during both check-in and check-out.

We had a fabulous stay at The Hari Hong Kong 🇭🇰! We were so glad to try out this relatively new hotel in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Aesthetic details could be seen everywhere starting from reception to lobby and most importantly, the room! The room is luxuriously furnished and it is spacious! A small cake was even prepared for us as an anniversary surprise by the hotel! The staff were extremely friendly and patient, we were given all the details needed. Do note that with the ban on single-use plastics, guests will be charged HKD 10 each person if toiletries are requested. The location of the hotel is pretty convenient as there are many popular and famous eating spots within walking distance. Highly recommend to check it out if you are visiting Hong Kong! 👍🏻💯

Lloyd’s Inn Kuala Lumpur (KL) is located in the bustling area of Imbi, with the newly opened Exchange mall at TRX at its doorstep. 🔴 Check in process was slow (it took me 20-30min). When you request something it takes more than 30min to arrive. Restaurant was closed when checked in so cannot offer welcome drink. Room is smaller than expected.
Limited breakfast choices (only 2). Reception gifted us a chocolate because we waited too long for check in.
Parking lot charges at RM20 with parking lift service.
Deposit of RM 200 was required.

The 1825 Gallery Hotel is housed in a esthetic and well maintained heritage building, located by the riverbank of Melaka. The hotel is Balinese style mixes antique furnished, interior and decors. Onces we stepped into the lobby, feels zen and smells good too!
I love our room which has balcony facing the Melaka River, and literally enjoy the cool breeze, scenic riverviwes and warmly sunlight in the morning. I also enjoy greatly the spaciousness of the room, comfy and cleanliness. The staffs were helpful and friendly, breakfast was awesome, price was very affordable as well, overall a wonderful stay!
The hotel location is amazing, walkable to most of the major tourist attractions such as Jonker Street, Dutch Square and Melaka River Walk, plus popular cafes & bars.
