There World history inside a museum
Few years ago while visiting Vienna I had the chance to stop by the museum of Ethnology and it was fantastic.
Part of its numbers just amazes me, over 400,000 objects from all over the world and even if some people complains about this, I believe that they are doing a great job taking care of them

Bookstore in the vaults of a medieval church!
Imagine walking into a medieval church and instead of the usual thing, you ended up surrounded by thousands of books in Dutch and English, well this is the Dominicanen bookshop in the heart of Maastricht in the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Well, this became one of my favorite bookshops that I visited in 2019 during that trip to Europe and it has been in my memory ever since, so I recommend it to anyone who is visiting the city.
Address: Dominicanerkerkstraat 1, 6211 CZ Maastricht, Netherlands

The Hermitage Hotel, a great location to explore Mt. Cook
Staying in the Hermitage Hotel is the best choice visiting Mt. Cook. The environment is quiet and beautiful. There is a big stove in the hotel lobby, and the staff are courteous. Although the room is small, it is clean and comfortable, with sufficient heating, which is very important for guests staying in winter.
There are restaurants, lounges, and coffee shops in the hotel, each with its own characteristics; plus there are not many restaurants around Mt. Cook, it is much more convenient to arrange meals when staying at Hermitage. We stayed there for 2 nights and we had dinner and breakfast there for both nights. For dinner, it’s a seafood buffet, including prawns, mussels, scallops, etc. The salmon was especially delicious, and there were also hot dishes such as roast beef steak, slow-cooked lamb, and baked salmon; there were also ice creams and desserts. Adults for 65 New Zealand dollars which was reasonable. For breakfast, it’s also buffet style which offered enough choices.
Besides food and hotel room, it’s also very easy to go for different hiking trails from the hotel.
It will still be my favourite hotel next time when I visit Mt. Cook.

Duoyun Books 📚 is a fairly new hotspot located in the tallest building in the city, the Shanghai Tower. With floor-to-ceiling windows, you’ll be able to browse through over a collection over 60,000 books and catch views of the Huangpu River skyline.
When you get there, enter the Shanghai Tower from entrance 2 on the first floor. Show your online reservation code, and the attendant will escort you to the 52nd floor where you’ll enter the bookstore.
The store itself is separated into two sections, each with a distinct design and atmosphere. With natural light coming in from the huge windows, the white section feels airy and bright, fitted with arched shelves and stacks of books. Further inside is the cave-like black section, where you’ll find art displays and a selection of gifts among the books.
If you’re lucky enough to visit on a day with nice weather, be sure to try and snag a window seat – the views are pretty amazing.
The bookstore has a café where one drink will set you back around 30 to 40 RMB. It tends to get pretty full on the weekends, so we recommend going during the week if you’re looking for a more peaceful, quiet bookstore experience.
Location: Level 52 of the Shanghai Tower, 501 Middle Yincheng Road
Hours: Mon–Sun, 10:00–21:00
Tip: Be sure to make a reservation in advance on the “世纪朵云” WeChat official page. Be prepared for weekend crowds. #shanghaistyle #shanghaichic #bookstore #book
