Visiting the Conan Museum on a rainy day 🕵♂️🔍
Invite Detective Conan fans to visit the Conan Museum, or the full name is Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory in Yura City, Tottori Prefecture, which is the hometown of Ajarn Khai, the author of Conan.
Getting there
From Osaka
You can go back and forth from Osaka in one day, but you might have to wait a bit.
From Osaka Station, take the Super Hakuto express train to Kurayoshi, then take a local train to Yura. It takes 3 and a half hours. 😅
From Tottori
If anyone has time, I recommend this plan. Come visit + stay overnight in Tottori for a night. The next day, come to find the little detective.
From Tottori Station, take the special train to Yura. It takes about 1 hour.
At Yura, you can walk to the museum to hunt for Conan characters. Or if you want to save your legs, I recommend exiting the station and looking to the right, there will be a taxi center. You can go up and down to the museum for only 740 yen, and then walk around and collect them on the way back.
Entrance fee
Adults 700 yen per person
We went on December 31st and it was open, and there were a lot of people.
Overview of the museum + city gimmicks
A small museum that most people might think has very few things, but it really fulfills the heart of a fan like me. I don't want to spoil it too much because I want you to come and see for yourself. Just seeing the original drawings from the teacher is worth it. There are also small games to play and souvenirs that are not the same as those sold everywhere.
As for the gimmicks, from the express train Conan from Osaka to Tottori, Yura Station which was renamed Conan Station, and the characters scattered along the way from the station to the museum, I think they did a great job. It's cute, worth following and taking pictures of, and even the manhole covers in the city. I confirm that it's worth it. If you love Conan, I really want you to come here. You won't be disappointed.
