This hotel is located in Huidong in Huizhou, very stunning hotel with almost everything you need. The hotel offers free amazing breakfast, buffet dinner, hotsprings, boat cruise, cinema, ktv, bar, infinity pool, game area for kids, free photo shoot and they also offered free buffet lunch since it was Christmas but the rest it’s normal package. Staff they were so welcoming and helpful 1. We drove from Shenzhen to Shuangyuebay in about two hours and stayed for one night. The weather was not on our side with a lot of wind and rain in the air. The area is called double moon bay if translated into English because of the shape of the area with sea on both sides that you can see from above. Beautiful sandy beaches. We started by going up to the peak to see the overview of the bay and it was super cool. It is a bit of a walk from the parking area so we paid 40 for a guy to take us up and down on his moped. The view from the top was Fantastic and an absolute must see if you are in the area. After the peak we went to the turtle bay nature reserve. They have a beautiful sea walk and lots of big turtles. After turtle bay we went to the beach and visited one of the surfer places. Not much activity but there was someone learning how to kite. The beach was absolutely awesome and I can imagine the place is super nice in the summer month. I definitely want to come back. Lastly we had some amazing seafood noodles at a little local restaurant recommended by some of the surfers. #huizhou #2023travelwish #双月湾

📍 It’s a great place to spend your holidays. We usually take a taxi from Guangzhou to the beach directly it takes around 2.5 hours. But you can also take a train or plain depends on your location. The beach is quiet far from the city. 🏨 There are many good and cheap hotels or apartments around the beach. 🥗 You can find some western restaurants and many Chinese. Hallstatt Town or also called Austrian style town, is a very beautiful place located in Boluo, Huizhou city, Guangdong Province. It is actually a recreation of Hallstatt, Austria. In Hallstatt Town, Huizhou you can find street cafes, flower shops, art shops, and churches. There is a Wax museum as well, where you can take pictures or just see real size figures of some celebrities. I think it is very well recreated as it really feels like Europe there. Double Moon Bay - Vanke, Pinghai Town - Zhang Sheng's Homestay. This was my first time to Double Moon Bay and I'm quite surprised how nice it was, the beach, the blue water of the ocean and of course the villa itself. The Villa can fit up to 18 people - 2 floors, 7 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, large living room, kitchen, big dining table, 2 balconies, pool and parking space. •Getting There - It takes 2 hours from Shenzhen. Huizhou became a fun trip that surprised us in a very good way. The famous lake is a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the sunset, while just having a walk or renting a bike. A city full of tasty food that you can find anywhere from street food to shopping malls. People are easy and curious, with a different vibe compared to Shenzhen. I recommend it for a weekend or two days trip.#Huizhou

🚘 We took a car from Shenzhen about 1.5 hours. 🛥 After arriving to the beach we took a water motorcycle to a small island. 💰 No entrance fee and the water motorcycle round ticket was about 300 RMB for 3 people. ⛰ The place is really clean and the air is fresh. It was my first and probably last time flying out from Huizhou Pingtan Airport. I must say that I was very much intrigued before I got onboard. So, the airport terminal is looking very interesting and relatively new as it was reopened for civilian use in 2015. Staff - really kind, caring and helpful tho non of them was actually speaking English, I think that it’s pretty normal as it is a small airport serving only domestic flights. moreover some of them were trying to speak English before realizing that I can speak some Chinese. Altogether I was very satisfied by the terminal staff and the service. - Special thanks to the young lady working at the check in desk. Now you might think then what is the title about? Well, as the airport is a dual-use military and civilian, since 2015. There are certain regulations applied - more specifically that ❗️ all window shades must be closed until airborne❗️ Now you might think so what? Ok, let me explain - the thing is that if anything happens during a take-off or landing, your eyes will already be used to the day or night light outside, thus you will be able to react more quickly. Another reason for keeping the blinds open is visibility of aircraft outside, that is to assist the crew in case of an emergency, so they can see out of the aircraft in case of an evacuation. Most accidents happen during take off or landing so this makes complete sense. However in case of Pingtan Airport the regulation is totally the opposite you must keep you window shades closed. besides the fact that it's not safe, in case of some passengers it can cause deterioration in well-being and dizziness - just what happened to me during takeoff. p.s.
